Flyman's mouthparts are made of soft, spongy structures called labella and he has a very long proboscis. He'll use the labella to gently dab smokes and liquids into the proboscis, which he then draws into his head. If flyman encounters a solid food he wants to eat, he drops acidic saliva onto it, turning the food into liquid for easy slurping.
