What would you call an Asian Indian? A 'hindian'? (I know that's disrespectful to the original land and people in which our country was supposed to be, and that dolt Columbus made a colossal mistake and founded 'New India - later to be renamed and recognized as North & South America', but a majority of "Native-Americans" prefer to be recognized as simply, 'Indian' (or American Indian, if you will).

The TIROS-1 was the first weather satellite, launched into a polar orbit on April 1, 1960. Equipped with two TV cameras, TIROS 1 was operational for only 78 days but demonstrated the feasibility of monitoring planet Earth’s cloud cover and weather patterns from space. TIROS satellites eventually began continuous coverage in 1962 and enabled accurate worldwide weather forecasts and alerts. Above is the first TIROS TV image, taken from an altitude of about 700 kilometers. Crude by contemporary standards, it represents the beginning of what is still one of the most important continuing applications of space technology.

same here...that's why 30 is my favorite number in the whole universe. at least as far as I've counted. if I keep counting I might find one I like even more.

I have at least 2 dozen "favorite" numbers, but what i like to call the triumvirate of lucky / supreme / make-me-feel-good-to-see are the numbers 27, 28, and 29.

twenty-eight and twenty-nine, near-equally, I like above twenty-seven, but i also like the latter almost as much both formers.

30 and 6 are my favorite favorites. 57 is also pretty nice for me. I also have a strange attraction to some non-integers, like π aka pi. I also like pies. Are we having fun yet?
