Ooooh I'm surprised so far.

shame, shame, shame.

Maybe the name John Petrucci will jar your memories.

Now, go hang your head in shame.

Wow!!!!

The shame. I thought most of the music fans in this board were pretty big Dream Theater fans. Sion, Derwood, I'm looking your way. I thought others were into them as well.

Ok, an easier one. Hands on buzzers everyone.

What album had the longest run on Billboard's Top 100 chart?

Cant speak for Derwood, but I AM a big Dream Theater fan. I think you threw everyone a curveball with the descriptor "underground" GoT. I know it caused me to dismiss DT as a possible answer. My guess would have been the VU.

Yes, Dark Side fell off the charts sometime in the late 80's I believe.

Sorry about the confusion on the Dream Theater question. I wondered if the underground description would throw anyone off. But, the way I figured it, they are not considered mainstream.

I figured the Berklee and Petrucci hints would settle any questions. Oh, well. My bad

You're up sion.

I believe Booray is right.

Someone needs to come up with a question. Give it a shot Booray. It doesn't have to be a stumper. Ask us anything, it keeps the game going.

If not, you all know the consequences. I have couple more KISS questions I could pull out.

No new questions eh???

You were warned!!

KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick once played in a band with what "no talent ass clown"?

Bonus points if you can name the movie reference for the ass clown quote. (hint: The movie is not KISS related.)

Hints needed??

OK the "ass clown" quote comes from the movie "Office Space". There is a character in that movie with the same name as a pop singer. He (the character) refers to the singer as a "No Talent Ass Clown". I tend to agree, but that's just a personal opinion.

So what pop singer did Bruce play guitar for?

Guess that'd be Michael Bolton. Nice credentials for that guy.

I celebrate his entire collection.

Thinking of a decent question....

Peter Gabriel's first hit "Solsbury Hill" was about a concert he saw and how it inspired him to leave Genesis to pursue a solo career. Who's concert did he see?

See, told ya you could come up with a question. And a damn good one it is. I love the song, but have no idea what it is about.

As for the Michael Bolton answer...yes. They were in a band together called "Blackjack"

I believe you have my stapler...

Office Space is a great movie. I was able to appreciate it so much more when I got my first "real" job working with a software company.

Read a little more about my question (which I had seen somewhere that I would assume to have reliable info) and found that it's not entirely accurate.

According to a couple of Genesis and Gabriel bios, Gabriel told the band members he was leaving in December 1974, early in the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway tour, which ran until May '75. Gabriel himself wrote a statement for the British papers confirming the split in August '75, in which he admitted "the decision had been made some time ago."

Gabriel had said in an interview that seeing a certain person's performance inspired him to go solo and he later wrote Solsbury Hill about that experience, but according to what I just read, he didn't see this performance until November '75. So, while the performance may have reaffirmed his belief that he had made the right decision about parting ways with his band, it wasn't the inspiration for him leaving. But Solsbury Hill was still inspired by this person's show.

Now for hints:
A member of the guy's (yes, it's a male performer) band is "connected".
The show in question was at the Hammersmith in London, but the guy is most definitely American.

name the album (released in 1987 by a quartet from the British Isles) that was the first cd to go platinum (i.e. sell a million or more copies).

Me neither. I'm trying to think what was popular in 1987. I think he is trying to trick us a little by saying "British Isles". He thinks by doing that, we'll think England.

Duran Duran had five members, so, they're out.

I'm going out on a limb and by the clues, I'm going to say U2's Joshua Tree.

I thought Joshua Tree was released earlier than that. But for the CD it's possible.

The Police were a trio and the Pogues never sold that many.

I'd say Hysteria by Def Leppard but I think they have 5.

I'll go with the chance that Def Leppard had only 4. And say Hysteria.

oh and btw, I was NOT trying to trick anyone. Just figured if I had said a quartet from Ireland, it would have been TOO obvious.

Yes, the Irish hint would have been too obvious. Good phrasing though, it made me think.

Also Def Leppard does have 5 members.

OK, my question.

Roberta Flack's 1973 hit "Killing Me Softly With His Song" was written about which singer/songwriter?

I'm pretty sure that would be the "Stone Pony" in Asbury Park.
If this is correct, and Sherpahigh confirms this, someone else will have to take the next question, that is if it's confirmed before 4 pm tomorrow (Friday) I don't have internet at home anymore and can only check it at work. BTW- Bruce was the greatest concert I have ever seen. He played 4 1/2 hours straight.

perripken is correct.

Easy to understand how Bruce could be the greatest concert you've ever seen. I myself went to two of his shows last April and they were both amazing. Rank right up there with the best shows I've ever seen. I can only imagine what it must have been like to see him years ago.

Anyway, as perripken said, it's someone elses question now. The floor is open.

Question: What is the correct pronunciation of Rush drummer Neil Peart's last name?

I ask because I've heard it pronounced about 4 or 5 different ways over the years, and I finally looked it up about a year ago to find the definitive answer.
