Don't know if the last post answered the question or not, but if not, you might want to post analog's signature so we don't have to go searching for it (I couldn't find a post of his in the thread).

Well, since it has been over 24 hours since the last correct answer I am going to kick start this thing again.
(spins the wheel of trivia to get a catergory) click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click. And it lands on Jazz (just to be different.) Legendary jazz artist Charlie Parker was known by what nickname?

Tried to think of another jazz question, but couldn't.
Question: What group is generally accepted as the first band to use lasers in a live concert, introducing their use in 1976? Edit: Actually, I found something else that indicated that they first used them on Oct. 3rd, '75.

Nope, not Supertramp or Blue Oyster Cult, although that does bring to mind a great song quote...

Pink Floyd does seem like the most likely answer, but according to the websites I checked before I asked the question, it wasn't them. Floyd is more on par with this band's popularity than Triumph, BOC, or Supertramp.
Just found a link which claims that the first time this band used lasers was on Oct. 3rd, '75, so the year might be wrong on the initial question.

ELO and Yes were two others I would've guessed too.
Here's another hint: This band would've been one of the last for me to guess since they always expended so much energy on stage that they wouldn't seem to really need it (not to mention that they don't have much of a psychedelic quality to their music).

Okay, now you made me make one more guess, (the energy thing)- although I did see these guys and don't remember any lasers.
The Rolling Stones

I was wondering if that hint might make someone guess the Stones (sorry), but it's not. However, this band was from the same country as the Stones.

To be fair to my fellow trivia buffs, I will let someone else ask the new question since I won't be able to check answers for the next few days, Besides, it took me quite a few guesses before I got the answer!

Not too many. Only 5
![]() If no one minds, I have another one I stumbled upon today. Question: The father of Academy Award nominated hottie Naomi Watts (21 Grams, The Ring, Mulholland Drive, etc.) was a sound engineer for what well known band until 1974?

"Question: The father of Academy Award nominated hottie Naomi Watts (21 Grams, The Ring, Mulholland Drive, etc.) was a sound engineer for what well known band until 1974?"
given that was one of the bands suggested as a possible answer to the previous question, and going with the obvious name link (Naomi Watts -- Charlie Watts) I'm gonna guess the Rolling Stones.

No. That didn't even occur to me. I'm not sure if she and he are related, but her dad (who died when she was 7) wasn't a sound engineer for the Stones.

well, ok...
Naomi may say she's an Aussie, but she was born in England... so that probably limits it down to British bands... and from those listed above... <del>its not the Rolling Stones</del> then i'm going with Pink Floyd... for no other reason than i know then better than the other bands above.

Yep. Floyd would be correct. Considering the dates of recordings, it looks like he must've worked with them up through Meddle, the Pompeii performance, and Dark Side. Not sure what he died from.
Edit: Just found this somewhere: Aug 2, 1976 Former Floyd road manager Peter Watts is found dead. He is discovered, deceased, by his ex-wife Myfanwy and his business partner in a house owned by the group in McGregor Road, Notting Hill, London. Watts had died from Heroin use. Naomi was two months short of her 8th birthday when he died. From what I gather from other sites, he was their road manager and a sound engineer for them and a couple of sites claim that he was the recorded laughing voice on Dark Side, although I thought that was someone else.
