They usually look like regular old rocks to me, but to my children they are special treasures that they have to save. So my pockets are full of these gems.
I had a great time visiting my relatives in Toronto this past weekend. Prior to the wedding we went to the largest flea market in Toronto. My niece is happily married now and off to Aruba today. The hotel was full of little hockey boys from Minnesota and to my chagrin, they said they were rooting for Montreal over the Flyers. I'm glad that didn't work out for them. Hopefully, tonight will be the end of the season for Les Canadiens de Montréal. |

Gravity's working on minerals like we are. I'm full of water. |
Sadly, I was not wrong. Also, sadly, is the 'not wanted' part.
However much I say I don't care, I absolutely refuse to be taken out of context, have my meaning be inferred just from eight simple words (or less), and then be lambasted for what was perceived. (that last word may be my missing piece.) Off to go right wrongs I really shouldn't have to, but now, unfortunately, do I feel is my duty, as the 'nice, charitable guy'. (who may I add, seeks nothing in return, but to not be thrown against invisble raining knives, mind you.) http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l2...7hano1_400.jpg http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l2...7hano1_400.jpg Links Project on the Behance Network PS Percival is the most righteous name I can think of right now; what about you? Whose name is so righteous you sometimes feel to make (random) mention of it? |
post-PS:
A fond, and random congratulations towards your niece on her newly-engaged nuptials, BadNick. Aruba, I've heard, is a splendid locale (I've also seen it firsthand, but don't ask. It was a horrible experience that one time, if only due to some untimely monsoons, and bad on my part to not research, initially, where exactly, in the geographic sense of the world, it was situated). |
thanks, Jet.
Good luck and may the force be with you on your quest for justice. I don't know about those raining knives, though. The best blades will rust, you know. If they're invisible, you probably can't see the rust anyway. But I might still worry about it just knowing what could be happening behind that veil of invisibility. |
What a keen individual you are, and one I actually do soon hope to call my 'real friend' indeed (when I get stateside again, you need to remind me to remind you to recall that statement you uttered about taking me out to dinner and a night around town).
(I meant this in regards to your "veil of invisiblity" comment, whereas I was thinking of something similar at that exact moment, but had not yet given it a title. "You complete(d) me.".) By the by, I forgot (almost) to mention something coming soon on the ways: Are you watchting , and being riveted by, the NHL hockey action, as presented to you by, your own resident sports team, the Philadelphia Flyers? Did they win yet? (ah, the SC ticker just told me 'yes', they did.) |
yep, we're now off to kick butt in Chicago. Next Flyers win: vs. Chicago Blackhawks on May 29; the Chicago defeat starts @ 8:00pm ET
I used the infamous Internet Archive Wayforward Machine to get this photo highlight of the action: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...6/53813157.jpg |

I've been meaning to understand the Internet Archive for some time now, mostly, well, because I'd like to archive the TFP, if anything unforeseen should happen to its current "memory".

You have worthy goals.
Could be the storage safer somewhere else than here? I'd be crushed if all this disappeared Call your file COMMUNICATION EVOLUTION. |
We should build a band.
|
Some conducting or playing
goes along with such establishments. I can sing "Amazing Grace." ...approximately. |
I choke up & and start to cry, trying to sing that song.
Maybe that's how it should be sung. |
Sonuvawidget! I hate getting bumped by PA (Member's), or WA (here), or BA (Beth-Ann).
But, I do love singing about waves. And waves. And waves. (I probably should have posted a picture of one as well, but I'll leave you in suspense with that one.) |
Is this a personal space issue?
What's PA? What's WA? What shall we name our band? |
Counrty Bear Jamboree!
disney aint using it no more......... |
Wow, that's too bad.
That was an excellent torture method. Ten minutes of watching it....I would have confessed to anything. |
hey, it was no " Carousel of Progress "
thats for sure.... |

Good Morning, Me. "Do you feel Alive..?"
I ___ you. (fill in the phrase, if you would, please.) |

I skip you.
Like one of those nice little flat rocks that skips at least seven times across the water and then you wish you had that one back. Anyway, I was thinking of a walk along the creek so that's what came to me. |
Presumably they'll continue existing, & maybe get skipped again, someday.
Not about what's right: if it's only what it is, you know it's nothing. (abs) I took a nice walk with my dog along the Minnehaha on Sunday, with plenty of sweat & panting. |
Talk about skippy rocks, I just saw it again since I was driving to Toronto last weekend. There's an interesting rock formation you can see from the N.E. Extension of the PA Turnpike just as you exit the Lehigh Tunnel northbound. It looks like a giant wall of boulders extending east-west quite a distance. Some boulders are a couple feet in diameter, others larger than a car. The long wall structure always made me think it was a moraine formed by advancing glaciers during the last Ice Age, but I pretty much made up that explanation so I'm looking for official confirmation of what the rock formation is. My other idea is that it might be the Great Wall of Pennsylvania built to deter the attacking forces of the barbarian New Yorkers from the north. uncle phil might know this since he's one of them.
|
uncle phil's solid,
but in my tiny mindset, he's not "one of THEM". |
surprisingly, this thread is still going strong!

A pleasant surprise,
I am hoping you find it, no poke in the eye. |
You said, poke.
In my next life, I definitely need to experience first person testosterone. |

It's not nice to mess with mother nature.
We need Hans Brinker. |
If you don't mess with it, it stays the same. Hard to not try to stop a disaster you already caused, just for the sake of "Well, you did it in the first place; going to try for another wrong now, on top of the last? You're so arrogant.". (.?)
I also like this one: http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l3...7x7zo1_500.jpg A sign marked a beach closed in Grand Isle, La., Thursday due to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. As BP tried the “top kill” method, President Barack Obama told a news conference the government is in charge. He suspended planned drilling off the coasts of Alaska and Virginia and on 33 wells currently being drilled in the Gulf of Mexico. [WSJ.] |
I would use a well placed nuke upon the wound.
Cauterize it. Virginia is mostly covered by very tall trees. So many varieties of pines I hadn't encountered before. Achoo times 20. |
And if you remember those two-to-three replies about this similar topic, (you're a TLTE Historian!)

They look like verdant yogaphiles.
That first lass looks like she is straining to evacuate her bowels. |
I'm sure Mother Nature was the first lass. She's probably thinking of how BP helped relieve her internal pressures. But "BP" would be better off if they were Butt Plug.

I got in a fight last might, with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

I'm thinking to have a couple grilled dogs for lunch:
"'Tis dogs' delight to bark and bite," Thus does the adage run. But I delight to bite the dog When placed inside a bun. Two guys immigrate to America. On their first day off the boat they are wandering around New York City seeing the sights. As lunch time approaches they decide they are hungry. They then come up to a street vendor selling hot dogs. One says to the other in a shocked tone, "My God. Do they eat dogs in America?" I don't know!" says the other, equally appalled. "Well," says the first, "we're going to be Americans, so we must do as they do." They approach the vendor bravely. "Two hot dogs, please." The vendor hands them their food in a pair of paper sacks. The two immigrants sit on a park bench to eat their lunch. One looks inside his sack, hesitates and turns to his partner and says, "Uh, which part of the dog did you get?" |
