The Longest Thread Ever!

Feel free to post any ridiculous nonsense you want to - our goal?

Make this the longest thread in TFP History!

NoSoup 01-11-2006 11:13 PM

See? Nothing of value here!

NoSoup 01-11-2006 11:13 PM

On to post number three!

NoSoup 01-11-2006 11:14 PM

And four? Aww, Hell... let's see if we can count to infinity, shall we?

NoSoup 01-11-2006 11:15 PM

NoSoup 01-11-2006 11:15 PM

NoSoup 01-11-2006 11:16 PM

Willravel 01-11-2006 11:33 PM

I'm in!!! This seems like a daunting task. Trampoline has a thread that's hundreds of pages long!

Stiltzkin 01-12-2006 02:39 AM

This should be called the "NoSoup" thread. And indeed it holds true to its title (at least, if they change it), because there's not a drop of soup to be found in this thread!

NoSoup 01-12-2006 09:03 AM

Indeed... with a thread hundreds of pages long, it will be quite the feat to catch up...

Thirty :D

ShaniFaye 01-12-2006 09:14 AM

While you were in Romar, Farmboy NoSoup initiated an attack on you with his Gardening Hoe, and defeated you!

You noticed he had an initial hp of 47 and just before you died he had 30 remaining.

As a result, you lost 0.5% of your experience (approximately 13 points), and 641 gold.

If this keeps happening, I'll never be able to afford a hoe!

*Decides to look up bonanza lyrics*

NoSoup 01-20-2006 08:00 PM

We chased lady luck till we finally struck - Bonanza
With a gun and a rope and a hatful of hope
We planted our family tree
We got ahold of a potful of gold - Bonanza
With a horse and a saddle and a rig full of cattle
How rich can a fella be?
On this land we put our brand
Cartwright is the name
Fortune smiled the day we filed
The Ponderosa claim

Here in the west we're livin' in the best - Bonanza
If anyone fights any one of us
He's gonna fight with me

Hoss and Joe and Adam know
Every rock and pine
No one works, fights, or eats
Like those boys of mine

Here we stand in the middle of a grand - Bonanza
With a gun and a rope and a hatful of hope
We planted our family tree
We got ahold of a potful of gold - Bonanza
With a houseful of friends where the rainbow ends
How rich can a fella be?

On this land we put our brand
Cartwright is the name
Fortune smiled the day we filed
The Ponderosa claim

Here in the west we're livin' in the best - Bonanza
With the friendliest, fightenist, lovingest band
That ever set foot in the promised land
And we're happier than them all
That's why we call it - Bonanza -
- Bonanza -
- Bonanza -

NoSoup 01-20-2006 08:00 PM

Found random Bonanza trivia while I seached...

"Trivia: A different version of this song with alternate lyrics was filmed for the pilot episode (sung by
Lorne, Dan and Mike) but it was never aired (although a brief snippet of the recording was shown
in a 1991 Michael Landon documentary). "

And now a poem....

"The Tyger" by William Blake
from Songs of Experience

Tyger Tyger. burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies.
Burnt the fire of thine eyes!
On what wings dare he aspire!
What the hand, dare sieze the fire?

And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain,
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp,
Dare its deadly terrors clasp!

When the stars threw down their spears
And water'd heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
Tyger, Tyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
