Leto 01-28-2008 01:16 PM

don't the new posts from Nonsense show up when you do that?

- fresnelly, is that picture from Montreal?

fresnelly 01-28-2008 01:22 PM

Nope and Nope. Not from Toronto either. :)

Leto 01-29-2008 02:25 PM

Saint John???

edit... after review, I think there is too much grass for the spot in Saint John that I was thinking about.

Any more hints?

fresnelly 01-31-2008 01:48 PM

It's in Kitchener. ;)

Leto 01-31-2008 07:36 PM

kitchen-where?

Leto 02-02-2008 04:10 PM

the Kitchener public library?

fresnelly 02-04-2008 02:58 PM

So nobody's been to Kitchener?

It's the local Museum. Leto guessed a civic building so he can post next.

I hope we're not running out of places. :D

Sticky 02-05-2008 08:22 AM

Is that the Dinos Are Back exhibit at the ROM in Toronto?

blahblah454 02-05-2008 09:56 AM

First thing that jumped to mind was royal tyrel museum... but that is in drumheller in the middle of nowhere, and I see buildings in the background.

Since thats the only place I know with a full skele I am going to stick with it.

Game on Sticky.

They have re- assembled alot of the fossils at the ROM, in the new crystal. Including some that I've never seen on display before. It's quite impressive.

- yes Blah etc, I don't think that Drumheller has that backdrop. by the way, my brother was Doug Tyrel's roomie at Lakehead.

edit: This new display of dinosaur fossils is a lot more impressive than the old diarama style that used to be at the ROM. Here's some more:

the seawall?

silent_jay 02-08-2008 04:38 PM

For some reason I want to say Kingston, but I doubt that's it.

blahblah454 02-11-2008 03:11 PM

where ya go sticky?

Sticky 02-11-2008 05:21 PM

Sorry. I am here. I forgot it was me and I hadn't checked the thread.

It is not Stanely Park.

It is not Kingston either.

is this along the Welland Canal?

Sticky 02-13-2008 10:35 AM

No, but "canal" is right.

Leto 02-13-2008 01:52 PM

The Rideau?

Charlatan 02-13-2008 04:33 PM

I was going to say the Rideau Canal but that first shot didn't look right.

Sticky 02-13-2008 06:00 PM

Not Rideau.

This pic will give a few hints

blahblah454 02-14-2008 09:58 AM

Is that in Vancouver? I still looks like it is to me.

Lucifer 02-14-2008 11:23 AM

hmmm, a Bailey bridge, a grain elevator and a cruise ship? I'd say Vancouver as well.

blahblah454 02-14-2008 09:43 PM

I dont know the name of it but thats near the north port... the less commercial and more industrial one.

Hold on, I have my directions mixed up. Its either more north or more east, or both. either way its the one further into the bay and it has more industrial, and the neighborhood is gross.

Sticky 02-15-2008 05:52 AM

It is not Vancouver, much further east.

Sorry that I have been a little slow to respond I have been spending a lot of time training someone at work.

Leto 02-15-2008 07:38 AM

you know, with the grain elevators and ocean going vessels, I have to conclude that we are positioned at the end of the St Lawrence Seaway. I'm gonna go with a Montreal area canal.

I'm going to google that right now and see if I can come up with a name.

** edit...

Oh ya! Lachine Canal in Montreal.

http://travel.nytimes.com/2006/10/22...l/22hours.html

As this is obviously correct, I'll go find a pic and post.
