Nope! Go West, young man!

Anyway... carry on. |

Ha! I knew it was a bar. Now to investigate more. it must be a 'destination ' of some sort, but the downspout looks fairly run-down. So not a real 'touristy' place.
But also the siding is weathered wood. hmmmmm |

Looks like a hotel's breakfast bar... or some sort of coffee shop.
Are all those lights from the reflection, or are they in the store?

You're all still very cold. Let's try zooming out some more... http://www.milnoc.com/images/PC270107-3.JPG |
So he is not drinking a Guiness, he is drinking a specialty coffee.
ya... what I was thinking too. But that's an awfully big coffee. I see a street sign in the reflection, as well as parked cars. there's also a second floor.
Here's the full picture.
http://www.milnoc.com/images/PC270107-4.JPG And if no one can guess it this time, I'll add the left and right shots. |
I reckon it's at the waterfront as I can see boats in the reflection, at least I think they're boats, time to do some more looking around.
Blue Parrot Coffee shop on Granville Island, Vancouver.
I think we have a winner, nice one Leto.

Score! Well, it was part your observations that got it too... Okay. I've got one. Hang on.
Ok, back with a poser: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...eto_2000/K.jpg |
Confirmed! Leto got it! I was hoping someone would at least recognize the window trim, and see the water in the reflection of the windows.
As for Leto's picture, it reminds me of the movie "The Sweet Hereafter", but without the snow. |
It seems to have an Alberta look to it, even though I've never been to Alberta, so I don't know why Alberta popped into my head.
Wasn't that movie in Nova Scotia? Well, this picture isn't an eastern location, nor is it in Alberta.
Actually, the B.C./Alberta border cuts through the Rocky Mountains. So it is possible to have such scenery in Alberta, especially west of Rocky Mountain House.
The sign in the back appears to read "K Life". The closest reference I could find was a Christian radio station in California. |
the picture is in keeping with the recently introduced 'cafe' theme. It is possible to have such scenery in Alberta, but for this one you would have to go further west. I would most likely stop here, if I was on my way to get some peaches.
Moving to the country
Gonna eat me a lot of peaches... |
That looks like it could be in BC near the Kamloops area... close?
Penticton has a peach festival, but I think Penticton is a bigger than that.
BC certainly does have that kind of terrain... and Penticton does have peaches... This cafe would be as the crow drives if you're coming from Vancouver.
Looks like Keremeos to me.
I'd say splck has it... And now I get the "crow flies" hint that Leto gave...

Game on splck, it is the K cafe in Keremeos. I really love this part of the interior. Drove the crows nest many times in my tree planting days too.
what the heck kind of bridge is that???
It look like one that is no longer in use... I'd say the old road runs from the front right into the "tunnel". What purpose it serves... not sure.
Maybe it isn't that at all. Maybe it's a garage. |
Could be... maybe a mine entrance?
There's a road sign on the side of the main road, but the image is too low-res to read it.
yeah, I saw that. what do you think of the terrain? dry BC or Alta interior-ish? Or northern Boreal-ish? If it's a mine entrance I was thinking Yukon...
Here's another view.

Found it! It's the old Greenwood road tunnel! http://www.greenwoodcity.com/tunnelinfo.html

amazing. How the heck did you find it?
The tunnel's year is partially visible in the second picture. I google image searched for "1913 tunnel", and found it in the third image.
This was a weird one. The tunnel looks like it was unearthed from the ground, which turned out to be true! :) It's probably safe to assume I found it at this point. So let's move on to the next entry. http://www.milnoc.com/images/SSPX0074.jpg |
Good work Milnoc..
I drove through that tunnel for years. I'm glad they didn't bust it up when the took out the Kettle Valley Railroad. As for the next picture...It looks like something from Toronto of Montreal, so on that note, see you guys in a few months. Cheers! |
Looks like a condo...
As a hint, the building has some fascinating movie history associated with it.
