Crap. I was sure that was Darlington but Milnoc is correct. I also posted the wrong floral clock... I meant to do the one in Niagara.
Game on Milnoc. |
You guys sure know your Canada, I have led a pretty isolated life here in Alberta
I'll tour the city tomorrow and find something a bit unusual, yet Googleable. :)
Sorry Charl, Milnoc was in fact correct with the plant being the Bruce near Kincardine...
I was hung up on the cooling tower rather than the building.
I've had some help with the nuclear power plant. A few months ago, I've loaded in Google Earth a list of all the world's nuclear power plants, indexed by country. "Bruce" was the first plant listed under "Canada", and it was a perfect match.
Here's the next one. It might be a bit easy. http://www.milnoc.com/images/100_0100.JPG |
Is this in Montreal? It looks like it contains native peoples icons.
Yes, it's in Montreal.
La Joute Fountain in front of the Palais des congrès de Montréal

Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg
That is a statue of Harry Colebourn and his black Bear cub Winnie |
yes and yes
Game on Sticky *edit... I was just wondering how many Manitoba entries that we have on this game.... |
I think I posted a few from Manitoba in the past.
Can someone else post a pic? |
I dive into my ass, and what do I find? :D
Hay River, Northwest Territories? The image appears to be old. That thermometer is in Fahrenheit! But the temperature range appears plausible for that part of the Great White North. |
your ass would be cold. This is not Hay River NWT. The Thermometer is old, I don't think the picture is. The temp is significant.
Thats one of the Thermometers from White River Ontario
you betcha, Game on Blahblah. It's measuring the coldest temperature recorded in Ontario.
Leto, that was sneaky! White River happens to be the place where the bear cub Winnie was rescued! The same Winnie as in the previous picture!
It is indeed. Good catch.
Thanks for the message Leto! I totally forgot to even check this. I have been out of town for business and I have been busy as hell.
Here we go, this should be a pretty easy one once you start to narrow it down some. http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/7387/1000577yy2.jpg |
Okay... I'll give it a try;
Roger's Pass |
Close, but be more specific.
The CPR's lower spiral tunnel located near Cathedral, B.C. The picture was taken from the roadside lookout alongside the Trans-Canada Highway.
And that's a single train we see there, crossing over itself as it works its way through the tunnel. |
Is that near Roger's Pass?
Roger's Pass is 140 kilometers West of Cathedral, on the other side of what I believe is Kootenay Valley. Kicking Horse Pass however is only 9 kilometers East of Cathedral.
Nice work Milnoc, you got it.
Is this in Montreal?
Yes, it's in Montreal.
world trade centre ?
Nope!
A hint: it's near the lips! :) |
Near the lips? The lesbian lips nightclub?
No.. I think it's near the art gallery, the Montreal Contemporary Art Museum.
Is that the Montreal Art Gallery at Place Des Arts.
here is a pic from on top http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/3...ery6116rw7.jpg |
I have a problem here.
Sticky did identify the object visually, but he didn't properly identify it. Also, to the best of my knowledge, it's not associated with the museum, and it definitely isn't inside it either. So do we give it to sticky or give him one more chance to properly name it? It's a common word and not a proper name, so it should be easy. Or am I being a bit too anal over this game? :D |
nothing wrong with being anal....
I think it is just Place Des Arts.
You kind of walk under this when you are coing from the parking lot and going to see a show in one of the theatres. |
And what do you call a ceiling window that lets in light from the sky? :)
