Where am I in.... Canada?
 

Inspired by some discussion in Charlatan's 'The world through my Phone...' thread, I'm starting a "Where am I in...?" game thread.

The idea is to post a picture, taken somewhere in your town, so that other members can try to guess where it is. If you correctly guess the location, you get to post your own picture, and the game continues.

I think this will be a fun way to share your city and how you see it.

Originally, I was thinking about limiting the game to Toronto, but why should we hog all the fun? In the name of national unity, there's no reason why locations from around the country can't be submitted too. Many of us travel and have family spread across the provinces, so pitch in.

A few ground rule suggestions:

To start, the locations should be fairly iconic, and not too difficult. As time goes on, based on the level of participation, we can either boost or soften the difficulty to keep things interesting.

The quest is for the location within your town, not just the town itself.

I included myself in the photo below, but it's not necessary. If you can get a cleaner shot without, or you're having a bad hair day, don't hold back.

Lastly, this isn't a photo quality contest, so get out there and shoot with whatever you got!

Other suggestions on how to shape this game are welcome. :thumbsup:

excellent start to a new thread Fresnelly, and a great opening shot. question: how do you attach a picture to the post?

if you click 'post reply' instead of using the white quick reply box at the bottom there is a button to allow you to attach files. Scroll down and you'll see it.

Charlatan - you are at the corner of Queen and Bay. I can't remember the name of the building that is surrounded by that fence, but I remember that the gates have cow catchers.
