sorry for the delay Sticky. You were correct. FYI:
The Don Station, the last surviving station of the Belt Line built in 1899, was moved from its original location on the Don River just south of Queen Street starting on August 2, 1969. Two days later, the three pieces of the station were reassembled at its new location in Todmorden Mills. Todmorden Mills is tucked to the side of the Don Valley pkwy in Toronto, just beside Pottery Road. My question to you Sticky, is how did you manage to get to that painting? |
I did a search on old train station canada.
It was on the second page of results |
is this an office building?
Cool building. Can you give us a hint on the industry?
It is an Office building.
It is the Canadian headquarters of a huge company. |
General Motors in Oshawa?
Yes sir.
excellent.. My sister works there. And I bought a toyota. How ironic.
Here's the next one (scooped from the net): http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1.../sandypier.jpg |
Is this somewhere on Vancouver Island
No sir, It is not on Vancouver Island. It is a nice view of the pier from up on the hill though isn't it?
That would be the White Rock pier.
man i remember when the sandcastle comps where there.........good times on that beach right there
Game on splck... I had my very first wild crab from a trap off of that pier...
I puked beside the pier once during the old sandcastle competition. :paranoid: :oogle:
The good old days. Ok, next: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/splck/wall.jpg |
I know where that is, my mom was just there after her Alaskan cruise... it's on Vancouver island... hang on.
edit... Back. Is it Chemainus? About half an hour south of Nanaimo? |
Chemainus is it. Lot's of murals in that town, nice pub too.
Lunenburg, Nova Scotia?
hmmm, close but no, not Lunenburg. Lunenburg has a hill with stores and houses on it rising out of the harbour, very similar to White Rock...
Mahone Bay, NS
I was misled by the place ment of a pic on a site with regards to the explanation text. Am I right? |
Sticky, you are indeed correct. Game On!
The building looks like a seminary. is it?
It is not a seminary now.
That is a good question. I am pretty sure that the original purpose of the building is still what it is being used for now. So in that case no, I don't think it was ever a seminary. I will take a look and see if I your suspicions are on the mark. |
is it a hotel then?
Nope, a school.
I looked it up, it was originaly also used as a school by Jesuits. Does that make it a seminary? It is a school now though. |
Is it in Montreal?
It is on Montreal
Loyola Campus of Concordia University in Montreal. It's the administration building?
this one was hard. I met my wife while at concordia for an afternoon football game. I never saw this building. |
I'm fairly confident that I nailed this, so i will post a pic, keeping in the same vein:

Leto, you were correct.

Nope, not yet.
Hint: It's also a university.
Is it in BC?
No, it is farther east than BC.
