Choskins definitely got it correct and Booray, I love that song and that's where I first learned that tidbit. DBT are great.

From left field...
A concert promoter in Hawaii sold a thousand tickets to a concert. Unfortunately the concert was never scheduled. The man was arrested and told police he needed the money for a nose job and a sex change. What band was the concert for? |
The Eagles, on a wild guess.... or Michael Jackson if the guy was joking around
Actually, it is even worse than Michael Jackson.
I'd like to say Culture Club and Boy George, but will say Rob Halprin and Judas Priest.
No. Early to mid 90s. Bubble gum.
new....... new kids on the block? MENUDO?????
wrong sex!
Spice Girls?
Yep!
OK, while I'm waiting to see if I'm right, I just went up and got my copy of Centerfield as promised. The name of the song I was referring to was "Vanz Kant Danz" It was referring to CCR's old producer Saul Zaentz who was the head of Fantasy records. There is also a song called "Mr. Greed" on the album that is supposed to be aimed at him.
perripken, you are right. It is your go!
Ok, since I'm kinda brain dead today and my Lakers are in the finals , I'll throw out an easy one.
Name the 80's pop star who started out as a Laker girl. |
Oh jeez, that is easy. The only reason I don't answer it is beacuse I don't have a new question lined up.
Perripken, thanks for the extra info on the CCR question. Like I said, the only thing I knew is that is was the record company that sued. Now I know who actually went after him. |
I believe it was Paula Abdul. But she was late more 90's. It could be one hit wonder Toni Basil, tho. But pretty sure you mean Paula.
You're right Pan6467, It was Paula. You're also right about the 90's.
Ok, here's a very easy one. J-Lo is in the press a lot lately (well has been for what seems forever).
Where did J-Lo find her first taste of fame? |
As a fly girl on In Living Color.
Here is one that is a little harder: How many husbands has J-Lo had? |
Damn has to be a record 31 minutes.
3 including mark anthony?
3 and a 1/2 including the engagment to Ben?
Just kidding. Pretty sure it's 3 but KWSN beat me to it. |
3 and counting. That is correct. Go KWSN.

Grace Slick?
Chrissie Hynde? (although it definitely sounds more like a drunk Grace Slick move)
Debra Harry?
I think Grace Slick is correct. but if not, I'll guess Janis Joplin.

At the end of this Beatles' song, an ultrasonic whistle, audible only to dogs, was recorded by Paul McCartney for his Shetland sheepdog. What is that song?
damn. I know I've heard this before, but I'm not sure what song it was. I'll guess A Day in the Life
It was on Sgt. Pepper, but I don't think it was A Day in the Life though.
Where's warrrreagl? He should know. |
Pretty sure that was 'A day in the Life'
I spent a summer working with a guy that would constantly throw Beatles trivia out there out of nowhere. We could be talking about the tire pressure in the truck, or any unrelated music topic, and he'd throw a Beatles trivia bit out there. edited to note that I'm the third person to mention this song. Looks like Booray's the one on the trigger. |
It was a Day in the Life. I guess techinically sherpahigh got it. You guys decide who goes next.
I think Booray gets it...
thinking of one...
