George Harrison is a very good guess given the friendship the two of them had. I figured it might throw some guesses that way, but as you pointed out, he was not on that album.
Come to think of it, I'm not sure George and Eric ever colaborated on one of Eric's albums. I think it was just Beatles and George solo material where the two hooked up. The artist in question on "Behind the Sun" is a drummer. (No it's not Ringo). Eric worked with him more than once, but this one was the first time.

3 actually.
Dusty Hill and Billy Gibbons each have on on their face, and Frank has one as his last name. And yes, it was Phil Collins who produced Eric's album. Back to The Who. Following Keith Moon's death, The Who hired drummer Kenny Jones as his replacement. What band did Kenny come from?

The Faces (or was it the Small Faces)? If I remember correctly, they were originally called the Small Faces, but later dropped the word "small" and were thereafter known as the Faces.

Speaking of Steve Marriot, he was once in another band with a guitarist who would later go on to have one of the best selling live albums of all time. What was the name of the band they were in? Bonus points for naming the guitarist and the live album.

Just checked and saw that I was right. Can't think of a good question, so this one might be kind of easy:
What country outlaw was the bass player for Buddy Holly's band the Crickets during Holly's last tour and ended up giving up his seat on the tragic plane ride to the Big Bopper, who was suffering from a cold?

That was Waylon Jennings.
OK lets see who can come up with this one. Comedian Harland Williams' cousin is the keyboard player for what Canadian band?

since it was a stumper, I went ahead and googled the answer. it turns out that Jesse Blaze Snider (yes thats really his legal middle name) is the son of none other than Dee Snider of Twisted Sister.
no wonder he's an asshole, eh? still need a question from KWSN

Time to kick start this thing again.
Lets see who knows their Beatles. It was common practice for EMI to release Beatles albums in the US with different song lists. Sometimes they released a different album altogether here in the states. This all changed with what album? (and all of those that followed.)

the final beatles album to be butchered for US release by EMI was revolver, and the first to be released as the same album in both the US and the UK was Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
...and sorry about not providing another question for my last one, i'm slow sometimes :P

the answer is One After 909. Recorded numerous times in pre-revolver, pre-rubber soul-era records, but never released on an album until Let it Be, their final album.
Next question: name 2 beatles #1 singles that were never included on one of their major albums.
