When was the last time you got excited over a sporting event, and who did you root for?

Sports could disappear from the universe and I wouldn't notice for a couple of weeks. However, since you ask, my gf is rabid for OHL hockey and if she takes me to a game, screams and shouts and rings cowbells and just generally goes nuts while I sit there quietly. When she took me to a lacrosse game, it was just the opposite. She sat there and looked with amazment at me, while I frothed at the mouth and screamed abuse at the other team.



Do you currently have a cold?

Almost over the one that I had that kicked my butt for about two weeks.. thankfully I can breath again... and have regained a sense of taste...

About 4 years ago, when I was still in college, I was working as a navigation cadet (officer in training) on a lake freighter on it's way to Port Cartier in the Gulf of St. Lawrence to load iron ore. On the way down lake Huron, I developed a nagging cough that simply wouldn't go away. It progressively got worse and by the time we were on the way back west in the St. Lawrence river, it was almost non-stop. The mate got tired of hearing me coughing in the wheelhouse, so he told me to go to bed early, which I did, but the coughing kept me up all night. My throat was so raw from coughing, I couldn't eat or drink, I was running a fever, and sometime around 4, I started to cough up blood, but was so weak, I could barely move. The Captain (who was a really good guy) opened up my door, and came in to the cabin talking before he actually saw me, "Well, you skipped watch last night, you must be pretty sick, maybe you should think about getting off in the canal and - Oh my God, you're coughing up blood!" He turned on his heel and left the cabin, but was back in about 10 minutes with my passport, discharge book, and about $200 cash. He told me that we were about 30 minutes away from the pilot exchange at Quebec City, he had radioed in to the pilot station, and that the pilots that we had on board would take me in the pilot launch to the hospital. The Pilot took me to the hospital, where they discovered I had pneumonia in my lungs. I had to be the only english speaking patient in the emergency ward. The only word I could understand was "codeine", so I just kept nodding my head, and as a result they kept me pretty doped up. But they got me hydrated fast, and took care of my throat and the infection. If you are faced with a long wait in the waiting room to see a doctor, take my advice: cough up blood on the triage nurse! Shit happens really fast, when you do that!!


do you like when it rains?

I laughed for about fifteen minutes after I read this. I've never heard of blowing like stink before, and the immature side of me finds it hilarous...

Anyway, I like the smell when it first starts to rain...but don't really care for rain itself. Too wet.

What was your favorite toy as a child?

hmmm, does lego count? I used to play with the stuff for hours on end, in fact I still do when I am with my little cousins. I am actually getting ready to purchase a 3100 piece star destroyer lego set!


Do scary scenes in movies still scare you or give you nightmares?

Only JAWS. I continue to work as a guard even though I'm 37.

Hopefully none, once I get my degree, I'm planning on staying the hell outta those places for the rest of my life

I'm on the road, so I had a western egg and bacon sandwich from Subway. Meh.

What's your favourite bar appetizer or finger food?

scallops wrapped in bacon.....fuckin' awesome.



what's your favorite drink to accompany that favorite appetizer?

Honestly I just drink iced tea 95% of the time. If I am driving I will not even have one drink of alcohol. Yup you guessed it, I am the DD 95% of the time. I am not a big drinker. But if I do happen to be drinking I usually go for some Rickards Red or a Corona if I really feel like opening the wallet.

Since we are on the topic. How often would you say you go out to the pub for some food and drinks?

Used to be every Saturday. Then every Friday and Saturday. Now quite rarely. When I need a great Guinness. My pubs are about 24 miles away. :(

Have you ever thrown down a big fattening Irish breakfast and not felt evil a few hours later? (our is two fried eggs, bangers, black and white puddings, fried potatoes and mushrooms, rashers and a big ol' bowl o' heinz beans. holy cholesterol, batman!)

that breakfast was pretty much the only redeeming quality of the weeks I spent in the hell that was client located outside of London... one day a week... it was my treat... there should be tomatoes in that mess too... was sooo tasty.. and i'm always evil :)

I'm 43. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.

Down. But I mean the lid as well. It just looks neater.

On Mal's couch.

Manual. Electric always feels like it's going to knock my teeth out.

Manual all the way... New fangled electric toothbrushes just don't travel well.
