After my wife and I had been dating for a few months, and while she was home for the summer, I travelled to Ireland for 2 weeks with a youth group. (I was around 20 years old). When I was there, I bought her an expensive hand-made wool sweater. I knew, even when I was holding it in the shop, that this was a serious present and signified real commitment to our relationship. I held onto it for 5 months, and gave it to her for her Birthday. She calls it her "all over hug" sweater and I believe it carries the same value for her as her wedding ring.

2) Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure: I complained about the small screen at the theatre, and the smell/stickiness of the floor. I wanted a discount, the usher guy said: " You're not from around here are you?" (referring to my lack of knowledge the Cineplex experience). Au contraire, I said, I live within walking distance, and demanded a refund. I ended up driving up to Fairview Mall cinemas to watch it at the same price, but in comfort.

His name was Ray, I was in 5th grade, I think. He was a great guy, his dad sold jewelry. He gave me a pair of earrings, and when my mom saw them, she made me give them back and stop *seeing* him (what the point of that was I don't know, it's not like we dated or saw each other outside school anyways). I told her I'd have to keep my eyes closed in class to avoid seeing him, and I got in trouble (again) for being a smart-mouth.

Faxed a credit denial from a major computer manufacturer to my boss while he was on vacation in mexico. For a system we were to implement in two weeks. Had a hell of a time crafting look-alike letterhead!
