You make so much sense when you're 3 sheets to the wind, BadNick...and oh so bad
...it sure adds some spice to the geography lessons ;)

uncle phil 02-04-2010 05:48 AM

don't go too far...

BadNick 02-04-2010 07:02 AM

uncle phil,
I never explored your "doctor" credentials but while searching that area near Presho, SD I found this buggy with "Dr. Phil Goode's Magic Elixer" so I'm just wondering if you're near the Presho City Water Tower?

BadNick 02-04-2010 01:12 PM

Shell 02-04-2010 05:55 PM

Hey there, Tully...welcome back.
You're like a photobomb...you just popped
out of nowhere and stole the show :p
Good to see you again.

Tully Mars 02-04-2010 06:00 PM

Well UP I could tell you about my recent travels but why depress you?

So Mexico... do tell.

Hey Nick, been on the road... to hell I suspect. Luckily I escaped what must surly be the jaws and I'm back in sunny Mexico. Gonna take a crow bar and a stick of dynamite to get me out of here again.

Hey Shell, long time...

Find me.

Shell 02-04-2010 06:36 PM

NH?

Tully Mars 02-04-2010 06:44 PM

BadNick 02-04-2010 07:42 PM

are you to the left of the ole miss?

Tul, were you away on a secret mission and can't tell us or you'd have to kill us?

Tully Mars 02-04-2010 07:47 PM

Someday you and I will sit down and share a beer and I'll tell you all about it... then I'll have to kill you... I kid... not about the beer.

To the right my friend.

BadNick 02-04-2010 08:06 PM

coastal state?

Tully Mars 02-04-2010 08:10 PM

uncle phil 02-05-2010 03:17 AM

Tully Mars 02-05-2010 04:42 AM

Yes sir, Florida.

amonkie 02-05-2010 05:31 AM

On the coast on Florida?

BadNick 02-05-2010 05:58 AM

damn, it's getting crowded in this thread! ...in a good way. Let's just rub against each other.

Tul, are you at a natural feature?

Tully Mars 02-05-2010 09:54 AM

I'm on both coasts... not a natural feature.

amonkie 02-05-2010 10:02 AM

Are you on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge?

Tully Mars 02-05-2010 10:52 AM

No I'm not. ya got half the coast right, if that helps.

uncle phil 02-05-2010 12:15 PM

are you in the tortugas?

Tully Mars 02-05-2010 12:24 PM

No, I'm not.

uncle phil 02-05-2010 01:30 PM

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ywestmile0.jpg

Tully Mars 02-05-2010 02:08 PM

You're right, head north... obviously.

I have a photo of myself at that exact spot. Maybe we went to different schools together?

uncle phil 02-05-2010 02:12 PM

marathon?

Tully Mars 02-05-2010 02:25 PM

Really close, just a little too far NE.

uncle phil 02-05-2010 02:34 PM

big pine key?

Tully Mars 02-05-2010 02:35 PM

Too far SW, that should do it.

uncle phil 02-05-2010 03:51 PM

spanish harbor?

amonkie 02-05-2010 05:21 PM

Are you on the old Bahia Honda Railroad Bridge?

http://www.cyberbarge.net/images/IMG_3272_E.jpg

BadNick 02-06-2010 09:41 AM

ahh, you might be right, amonkie. And that's an interesting story about that railroad project.

I'll try this:

Tul, are you at the Giant Lobster in Islamorada, Florida

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...biglobster.jpg

Shell 02-06-2010 01:05 PM

nick, get a grip...you're just hungry again :p

Tully Mars 02-07-2010 12:24 PM

Monkie's got the right idea with a bridge, just the wrong bridge. If I'm SW of Marathon and NE of Big Pine Key...

amonkie 02-07-2010 01:11 PM

The Seven Mile Bridge?

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...milebridge.jpg

uncle phil 02-07-2010 01:56 PM

Tully Mars 02-07-2010 04:11 PM

amonkie 02-07-2010 05:13 PM

That sounds like a great road trip.

i'll have to save that one after I leave my current spot.

Where am I?

Shell 02-07-2010 07:23 PM

NH?

amonkie 02-08-2010 03:09 AM

Tully Mars 02-08-2010 03:16 AM

Unc - Yep

Shell 02-08-2010 07:25 AM

usa?

BadNick 02-08-2010 07:26 AM

amonkie, are you in Canada?

Shell, I didn't have breakfast this morning so I'm hungry again which is why I guessed "Canada" since I was remembering the Pacific Northwest Eggs Benedict I had in Vancouver....wonderful, fresh, buttery smoked salmon, poached eggs, on a toasted English muffin covered with Hollandaise sauce....mmmmmmm

amonkie 02-08-2010 08:23 AM

Nope.. Not in USA, Not in Canada.

And what's breakfast without Coffee??? Sheesh. You forgot the most important food group, Nick!

BadNick 02-08-2010 11:44 AM

amonkie, are you looking for a fresh cup of java in Central America? ...they do harvest some fine beans in that area.

My current personal favorite is Gold Coast Blend from Starbucks, which I have them grind "Turkish", the finest their machine can grind; then I use a Melitta dripper cone thingy with 5 tablespoons of this rich brown powder, and then just pour near boiling water in to fill my two cup mug, add a splash of whole milk of half/half to taste. Go buzz.

amonkie 02-08-2010 12:08 PM

That I would be ... I found this coffee on Saturday and it inspired me to sit back and enjoy the view.

At least parks hereabouts aren't covered in snow...

Shell 02-08-2010 12:41 PM

Costa Rica?

uncle phil 02-08-2010 01:03 PM

...would SOMEone please feed this poor soul??? ...and feed me too while you're at it because he keeps making me hungry. But nick, salmon and eggs together? Now, I love eggs benedict made the conventional way with a slice of ham, and I understand that the great northwest is known for it's salmon, but we're talking chicken and fish cohabitating together...basically.

...wait, who was your server? Did Stephanie with an "e" talk you into this?! :orly:

BadNick 02-08-2010 01:52 PM

amonkie, are you in Belize?

Shell, please let's leave Stephani out of this or the rest of my day might be lost in an unproductive daze.

Otherwise, to defend eggs with fish, I hereby submit that chopped eggs are a classic accompaniment to caviar aka FISH eggs; also, many delis I've been in serve scrambled eggs with lox...aka smoked salmon FISH which makes a wonderful combination although not as tasty IMO as my Great Northwest Eggs Benedict Arnold (I threw that "Arnold" in there to allude to the traitor aspect of our discussion, i.e. your hesitance to accept fish and eggs together)

amonkie 02-08-2010 01:53 PM

Nope, Nope, and nope to all three of you.

I love straddling the line.

uncle phil 02-08-2010 02:07 PM

panama?

Shell 02-08-2010 02:16 PM

nick...fair enough, fishlips ... :p: :icare:

amonkie...it must be Guatemala?...the largest producer of coffee in central america

amonkie 02-08-2010 04:11 PM

Nope nope.

But just for the record. I'm not actually anywhere associated with coffee.. I just saw the name of this place on a fair trade blend.

But I love listening to some Beatle's Revolution 9.

uncle phil 02-08-2010 04:28 PM

guatemala?

Jetée 02-08-2010 04:39 PM

does the country you are in contain a national rainforest?

amonkie 02-08-2010 04:43 PM

Phil - Nope

And Jetee - as of Last year, yes it does!

uncle phil 02-08-2010 04:55 PM

nicaragua?

Jetée 02-08-2010 05:02 PM

Shell 02-08-2010 05:45 PM

Jetée 02-08-2010 06:52 PM

Venezuela?

BadNick 02-08-2010 06:55 PM

I'll try Ecuador ...figuring maybe when you said something about being on the line, you meant the equator passing through Ecuador.

amonkie 02-08-2010 06:57 PM

You guys are getting so much closer! I like being in the middle of such two handsome men...

Tully Mars 02-09-2010 02:56 AM

BadNick 02-09-2010 06:31 AM

amonkie 02-09-2010 06:34 AM

Shell 02-09-2010 07:19 AM

So, you're in Colombia.

amonkie 02-09-2010 07:20 AM

My bad... South America. So for that I'll help.

I'm in Colombia... in a place where a famous person once lived.

Shell 02-09-2010 07:32 AM

Shakira in baranquilla, colombia?

BadNick 02-09-2010 07:33 AM

are you in Barranquilla, Colombia ...birthplace of Shakira

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...05/shakira.jpg

---------- Post added at 10:33 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:33 AM ----------

oh oh...what does this mean?

amonkie 02-09-2010 07:39 AM

Think a couple centuries older...

There's also an education institution named after the famous person.

uncle phil 02-09-2010 08:48 AM

cartegena?

amonkie 02-09-2010 02:25 PM

uncle phil 02-09-2010 02:29 PM

amonkie 02-09-2010 02:58 PM

uncle phil 02-09-2010 03:05 PM

valledupar?

Tully Mars 02-09-2010 05:15 PM

Casa de Teja near Tunja?

Jetée 02-09-2010 05:28 PM

Does this have anyhitng to do with Simón Bolívar?

(who liberated half, if not most, of South America, and is celebrated as such, in nearly every SA country)

amonkie 02-09-2010 05:38 PM

None of the Above... but the Last name does start with S.

uncle phil 02-10-2010 03:28 AM

jose san martin?

amonkie 02-10-2010 03:33 PM

You've got the right time period, but not the right person.

Tully Mars 02-11-2010 05:48 AM

The last name of the person or the town starts with an "S?"

amonkie 02-11-2010 05:50 AM

Last name of Person.

Tully Mars 02-11-2010 06:16 AM

Boyacá

amonkie 02-11-2010 06:20 AM

Definitely getting closer... there's a road north from Boyaca that takes you the city I'm in... and it ain't Route 66.

Tully Mars 02-11-2010 06:24 AM
