What did everyone think of SmackDown tonight? The only match I found worth watching was the Hardcore vs. Show Street Fight at the end. I always love matches like that due to the utter chaos and tomfoolery with the weapons and all. I laughed during the Nidia vs. Tagiri match. I wish it would have been longer.

Where is everybody?? I didn't see much of Raw last night. I did see the Batista vs. D-Von match. It didn't seem to drag on as much as matches usually do. Seemed almost one sided, with Batista controlling the whole match. Usually they go back and forth a few times. 'Now c'mon all..... lets get this thread hopping again!!!!!

I've missed the last couple of Raws and Smackdowns, but I did catch most of Raw last night. You can tell Jericho's going to be a full-fledged face really soon. JR seems to love him now.
So V1 finally got some TV time, and for what? A Goldberg squash!? Couldn't he be doing something like criticizing Jericho on his lack of Mattitude, maybe getting Christian to join him against Jericho? I'm getting tired of watching long segments where HHH and Michaels talk about how they go way back. But I did like seeing Coach get superkicked out of nowhere. |

i thought the HHH/HBK segment was well done. Sure we all tire of seeing Trips talk for long periods of time.. but when watching that segment did anyone else get the feeling that they broke character a teeny bit? Like nwhen Hogan was feuding with mcMahon before he turned into Mr.America.. I got the feeling that "oh, maybe i shouldnt be watching this.. it's too personal"
Pretty good stuff.. much better than Goldberg and BPP talking.. ugh. My gf loved the RVD match.. it wasnt a spotfest like i thought it would be. |

I have always liked the HHH/HBK confrontations. They know each other so well, and they put on a great show together. I can't wait for their match at the Rumble. Ther rest of the PPV doesn't look too bad either.
Has anyone heard any truths/rumors about the return of 'Taker? I figure he'll be back for WMXX, I just hope he'll be dead again.

Taker is rumored to be coming back at Wrestlemania. He is currently supposedly growing his hair to come back as The Deadman.
As for RAW I thought the RVD/Orton match was good, hell it looked to me like Orton really got his brains scambled in that match... http://www.prowrestlingscoops.com/ne...76018119.shtml

I haven't watched RAW in a few weeks, but the Orton/RVD match was one of the most entertaining matches I've seen on RAW for a long time. (I'm killing myself for missing the HBK/HHH match) I think Orton has improved leaps and bounds since his debut, and that match only drives the point home even more. Instead of looking like some mid-carder going through the motions, he and RVD put on a totally original match that had my attention all the way through.
Gotta love Orton's crazy glare right before he ~SMASHED~ RVD's head into the canvas, too. Does anybody have an idea who was in the "Mystery Limo"? Could have sworn it would have been a swerve, but nothing came of it. The crowd would have gone absoluety crazy-go-nuts if Foley popped out, though. Man, I thought Orton was done for when he took that head shot at the beginning of the match. Glad to see he was able to come back and put on a damn entertaining match. That DDT finisher was devistating.
I'm still scratching to my head as why the last we heard about the Foley thing was the scene of the limo arriving.

Anyone going to Royal Rumble next Saturday? I'll be going with some friends. I can't wait. I used to be a wrestling fan when I was younger so i figured I should go to a wrestling event at least once in my life before I die.

Actually, now that I think about it, Jericho turning face might not be such a bad thing after all. There seems to be a lack of strong faces on Raw right now, and Jericho is pretty good as a face when he has lots of heels to mock.
On the other hand, part of me hopes that this is the greatest swerve in the history of professional wrestling. Just think: - Jericho and Trish hook-up - Jericho convinces Christian to be a friend and support him, because this makes him happy - Jericho says he has a big announcement he wants to make in front of the whole world - Trish and Jericho are in the ring, with Lita & Christian off to the side - Jericho gets down on one knee, and says... "I WIN!!!" and demands that Christian pay off the bet. Christian is at first shocked and dumbfounded, then starts laughing and bowing to the master. Trish is reduced to tears and storms out of the ring with Lita. To me, this would be the essence of Chris Jericho and my secret hope for how this storyline turns out. Mind you, Chris Jericho turning face wouldn't be so bad, either. |

Spanky Quits!
He asked to leave the company, and it was granted. (Like they would say no) What I've read so far is that he would most likely return to MLW or ZERO-ONE where he previously established himself as a star. It will be sad to see him go, as he was one of the FASTEST cruiserweights out there with talent.

Randy Orton got a minor concussion not from the ring post, but from a RVD kick to the head on the outside of the ring. It was a potato shot that RVD is known for.The bump on the outside ring post was a pretty decent blade job I thought he hit too hard also. It's good to see he is finally living up to his hype and position in Evolution.

Does anyone else remember the current Chavo and Eddie storyline from their WCW days? If I remember correctly that storyline ended with Chavo beening mentally unstable and that's how they explained Chavo's attacks on Eddie. All in all it's to bad they broke up. Los Guerreros coming out in the lowrider together was cool, besides they are my favorite tag team.
As for Spanky, I've never seen the guy in action. Has he been on TV? Oh, and Spleen it's good to have you back in the thread.

The last thing I read about Zach said he had problems backstage. It seems his ego got out of hand from working with Hogan and other big names right off the bat. Supposedly he's being kept off camera to cool down.

I'm always around, its just a matter of getting my fingers to do what I want them to do.
Spanky was to Smackdown as what Stevie Richards was to Heat (ITS STEVIE NIGHT HEAT!!). Spanky was one of the mildly featured performers, along with Ulitmo Dragon, Paul London, Jaime Noble (notice a pattern?) For the past few months, he has had NO storyline. It was just, "the match". That was it. Nothing else but that. Somehow the writers just couldn't fit him into anything else. ROH, MLW, ZERO-ONE, will all use him better than WWE did.

Shame to hear about Spanky leaving, but his talents were being wasted, as it seems to be with most of the cruiserweights, like Spleen said.
I didn't catch most of Smackdown tonight, but I did watch the Benoit/Cena/Heyman bit after the main event (Rhyno was in the main event? I guess he's out of the dog house now). Seeing Benoit put Heyman in a sharpshooter while Cena fed him soap is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. |

So, I'm watching the Smackdown replay right now, and they seem to be hyping this WWE Originals CD pretty hard. That's great, cause I know that every time I see Rikishi in the ring, I think "Sure, Rikishi's a great wrestler, but what I really want is to hear him sing!"
.... Wait a sec, I don't think that at all. |

If you think about it, most people would ignore/neglect Terri. She's really low down on the "good looking in WWE standards" lineup of *cough*divas*cough*.
She's 3 feet tall, her butt and her waist are the same size, which are also the same size as her head. And she has two water balloons that were filled with cement stapled on her chest. She definitely looked better in her Marlena days with Goldust. ========== Oh yeah. And the bits and pieces that I have heard of the Originals CD (don't ask), it sounds a whole lot better than the Macho Man CD that I refuse to listen to.

LOL, I forgot all about the Horse bit. WCW did have some great moments, personally I miss The Four Horsemen. However, the bit with Double J trying to join the Horsemen with Mongo was pretty stupid.

I predict HBK wins the belt from HHH. Orton wins the Rumble, Orton beats HBK for the belt, HHH wins the belt back when Orton lays down for HHH.
Seriously though, I'd like to see Y2J win the rumble, but he's mostly going to wind up feuding with Mark Henry now. I pick Kane wins the rumble only to get screwed out of winning his title match by the return of the Deadman.

I'd believe that there's too much of the Foley vs Orton line (love those commercials)...I can see Foley showing up & smacking into Orton "unexpectedly" at the Rumble...
