IF YOU SAMMMMEEEELLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rocky!! Rocky!! Rocky!! Woo hoo!! The Rock is back!! For how long remains to be seen. It was good to see Big Poppa Test come out without poor Stacy. I'd say it was one of the best Raw's in recent memory. I went through the roof when Trish decked Jericho, and then proceeded to assualt him with a bouquet. I was really hoping they weren't going to have her fall for his line of BS. The Kane/Goldberg match was ok. Had predictable results with previews for all the major matches on the last Raw before whatever PPV is coming up. A good show overall.

I really enjoyed RAW too. I'm only a little surprised that Jericho/Christian vs. Trish/Lita was added to the PPV. Although I'd rather see Jericho in a real match. And I guess this ruins the Christian/V1 feud.
RVD/Batista was pretty sloppy. I remember reading that RVD's contract was expiring soon, I guess he resigned? He didn't seem too into the match. I always enjoy seeing The Rock, and to have him reform the Rock n' Sock connection for a night was awesome. Rock and Foley have/had great chemistry. |

the RVD/Bastista match was sloppy and a few of the bumps looked painful. But the 6 man tag with with Test and Rosey looked the worst, I thought Rosey dropped Test on his neck, I'd love to see a replay of that to see what really happened. Same goes for when RVD did that roll over Bastisa's back and fell off.
Lastly, I know I said Y2J wasn't going to turn face, but after the looks of he gave on RAW when the male vs female tag match was made, I get the impression he turns on Christian at the ppv and goes face. Maybe Christian tries to give Trish the Un-prettier and Y2J goes beserk?

Since I'm probably going to watch Armageddon tomorrow night, I figured I'd throw up a few predictions, so, here goes nothing...
Trish/Lita vs. Jericho/Christian It's a safe bet that Matt Hardy will involve himself in this match. I'm guessing Trish and Lita get the DQ win when Hardy runs in, but Jericho turns face when he defends Trish. Booker T vs. Mark Henry For some reason, Vince has a HUGE hard-on for Mark Henry. Unfortunately, he'll win the match, since the WWE has to justify the massive paycheques they give him. HBK vs. Batista Well.... Michaels has already jobbed to Randy Orton, who seems to be headed for Heavyweight gold by the end of next year. I don't see the same future for Batista though. There's no good reason for Batista to win this match, so I'm picking the Showstopper. RVD vs. Randy Orton for the Intercontinental Title Special Guest Referee : Mick Foley Mick Foley is going to screw Randy Orton out of the title. Orton is going to win the IC belt soon, but it won't be at Armageddon. Tag Team Turmoil : Dudleyz (champs) vs, Jindrak & Cade, Shit Hurricane, Storm & Venis, Test & Steiner, La Resistance Although there's a lot of talent in this match, I have a feeling that this is going to be an unwatchable clusterfuck that will end with Jindrak and Cade winning the belts. Hopefully they get themselves a gimmick of some sorts really soon. World Championship : Goldberg (c) vs. HHH vs. Kane There are good arguments for picking any of these three to win : Kane has a relatively new gimmick, and has been pushed as an unstoppable monster recently (by beating up Shane-O-Mac?), Goldberg is also an unstoppable monster, and is the only non-clique member to hold the belt since it's return. (HHH and Shawn Michaels are the only people who have held the RAW belt), and Triple H, well, he's fucking the boss' daughter. My guess is that this match is a triple threat so that both Goldberg and HHH can lose without looking weaker than the other. My pick is Kane. I don't think this is going to be a good PPV at all. There are only 6 matches, and I'd be surprised if anything but the Tag Team Turmoil match and the World title match go any longer than 7 minutes. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of useless Bischoff/Foley sketches. |

Nice picks I'll agree with everyone of your picks but The World Heavyweight Belt. And to the tell the truth the only reason I disagree is b/c I don't think Kane can carry the belt well, at least not in his current state. I pick HHH to come out on top.
Oh and for the Tag Team match, I seriously hope Jindrak & Cade don't win the titles, but if the Dudley's lose the titles like I think they will. Well I can see Jindrak & Cade coming out on top through some crazy ass twist.

WWE Armageddon
Quick results on who won and how.
---------------------------------- Singles match, 1 fall Booker T vs. Mark Henry Booker hits a scissors kick pinned Mark Henry for the win. Winner - Booker T Intercontinental Championship Match Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam Orton is laid on the mat as RVD goes for his finisher. Flair interrupts RVD right before he starts the Five Star Frog Splash, in the confusion Orton knocks RVD of the top rope and hits a RKO. Winner: Randy Orton Battle of the Sexes Chris Jericho and Christian vs. Trish Stratus and Lita Jericho picked up Trish to seemingly check on her but Christian rolled her up from behind. Winners - Christian and Chris Jericho Singles match, 1 fall Shawn Michaels vs. Batista Sweet Chin Music Need I say more? Winner - Shawn Michaels Singles match, 1 fall Matt Hardy vs. Maven Basicly, Maven get’s jumped out side of the ring. The says Maven is beaten up so bad that the match doesn’t give get to start. Winner - No contest Tag Team Championship Match-Tag Team Turmoil Match La Resistance vs. the Hurricane & Rosey vs. Scott Steiner & Test vs. Lance Storm & Val Venis vs. Jindrak and Cade vs. The Dudley Boyz Okay, here we go. Starts with Hurricane and Rosey vs. La Resistance. Hurricane gave Rob Conway a big splash off of Rosey's shoulders to pin him for the three count. Next, Jindrak and Cade hit the ring. Jindrak rolled the Hurricane up for the three count to get the win. Lance Storm and Val Venis are next. Val went for a suplex but Jindrak reversed it and Cade grabbed the feet of Mark Jindrak to help hold Val Venis down on the mat for a three count. Now it’s Dudley time. The Dudley Boyz planted Mark Jindrak with the 3D and then Bubba Ray pinned him for the three count to get the win. Scott Steiner and Test run in. Bubba Ray Dudley gave Test the Bubba Bomb and then D-Von Dudley rolled over and pinned him for the three count to retain the Tag Team Titles. Now for the fucked up part. As the music of the Dudley Boyz played in the ring, Eric Bischoff's music cuts it off and Bischoff makes his way out to the ring. He grabbed the mic and said that in order to win Tag Team Turmoil, you have to go through all the teams and there is one team who has yet to compete. At this point we greeted to a new challenging Tag Team. Batista and Ric Flair. In the end Batista gave D-Von the sit out power bomb as Ric Flair had Bubba Ray Dudley in the figure four leg lock. Batista pinned D-Von for the three count. Winners: Batista and Ric Flair (WTF?) Women's Championship Match Ivory vs. Molly Holly Molly hooked Ivory’s tights for a win. Winner: Molly Holly World Heavyweight Championship Match Kane vs. Triple H vs. Goldberg Goldberg spears HHH & Kane. Flair and Orton come to interfere. Goldberg then gets another spear on HHH. But, Kane breaks up the pin. Kane then chokeslams Goldberg. Batista takes Kane to the outside, and then HHH gets the pin. Winner: HHH ---------------------- Maybe now Molly Holly will join Evolution, that way Evolution will hold all the gold on RAW....

Armageddon was pretty awful. Aside from the Randy Orton / RVD match, which was a nice surprise, there was nothing of note. Not to mention that Evolution has all the gold, I don't wanna guess for how long. Last edited by rockzilla; 12-14-2003 at 10:18 PM.. |

I'm pretty annoyed by the fact that 1) Triple H got the title back already and 2) Evolution has monopolized the major RAW titles. It's ridiculous and I hope that bullshit don't last long.

What gets me is this, I could understand HHH winning back his title, same for Orton. But the Tag Team Titles was a shot in the dark. I mean, Bastisa and Flair weren't even shown as a true tag team ever on RAW.

The whole Foley segment was a little wierd. I wonder where they are going with it? I sure hope they don't fuck it up.
I'm looking forward to Jericho's full face turn, I think they may finally give him a push to the top (wishful thinking?)

Molly joins Evolution for some reason or another, maybe she has a thing for Randy Orton or something. Molly defends the title against Trish, but the match ends with interference from Orton. Jericho runs out for the save, finally turns face, gets Trish back, and is in a feud with Orton which could (but probably won't) progress to a program against HHH. Jericho could easily be the biggest face on Raw, the crowd was behind him when he turned on Christian. As long as he's a heel he'll be kept in the midcard. |

Not a bad plot line, to bad the WWE doesn't have writers who could think of something like that. Y2J is going to go face, but against Christian especially after that mini-shoving match on RAW. I still think Molly joining Evolution could have some promise, it all depends on how things work out.
However if things worked out the way mentioned rockzilla I think a Fatal Four Way match with Y2J, Christian, RVD and Orton for the IC title would great.

Now thats a great storyline possibility. You should apply to the WWE as a writer

Nah, I'd probably get fired for booking Mark Henry and Goldberg to set up the ring while Chris Jericho and Booker T fought for the title. I'd have a bunch of Necrophilia-style angles for HHH to be subjected to though. Every feud would reveal a disturbing new side of his personality.

Does anyone else think Rico is just a revamped Goldust persona? Sure Rico does some stuff different from Goldust the but whole gay but not gay thing was started by Goldust and should remain his.
Besides, Goldlust was a much better theme than Rico's You Look So Good to Me Remix

Goldust did the gay thing better than Rico, but with Dustin Runnels no longer being employed by the WWE, someone's gotta take the job. I still remember Goldust feeling up Razor Ramon and being over as a huge heel. Someone's gotta play off of the crowd's homophobia.
A couple of thoughts on Smackdown... Although I won't be watching the 'Christmas in Iraq' Smackdown special (i'll set my VCR for it though), who here thinks John Cena'll win the US title next week? It makes perfect sense, he gets the biggest crowd reaction (even bigger that Eddie G), and I don't think The Big Slow has even defended the belt since he won it from Eddie. The only other segment on SD that I really noticed was the bit with The Cat, Sable, and Vince. I really hope this turns into a Cat vs. Mcmahon match at the Rumble (I don't even know if I'm being sarcastic or not... somebody call my mama) |

WWE has no idea what they're doing on RAW. It's getting [retty stupid over there I think. SmackDown has a few problems too, I.E Vince handing Lesnar everything yaya etc. WWE seriously needs to get better writers, but thats just an opinion.

Forgive me, but who in the Blue Hell is this Cat character? I've watched a little of his segments over the past 2 weeks and I have not been taken in. It just seems like filler to me. I do agree that the WWE could use some new writers, and they can use their energies to produce interesting storylines that don't include disco dancing cats.

DownwardSpiral...I couldn't agree with you more on the RAW writing. I was not suprised with the outcome of the Foley/Orton match, but I was still disappointed, and that after Armageddon, the sloppiest PPV I've seen, period.
I am still very much looking forward to the Rumble, I just hope that they book some good undercard matches.

After watching part of tonight's RAW, tonight featured the greatest matches of the year 2003, I just have to say I never realized how much the crowd hated Goldberg in the "Goldberg vs. The Rock" match at Backlash.
I saw booing, and people yelling BS when he kicked out of the Rock Bottom and The People's Elbow. I never heard one chant in favor of Goldberg but I did hear "Goldberg Sucks" a few times and several "Rocky! Rocky!" chants. WCW Superstar face or not Goldberg sure as hell didn't get much love in that match. On a side note does anyone know if the rumor's of Goldberg not having his contract renewed have any merit or not?

I haven't heard anything about Goldberg's contract, butif I do I'll be sure to post it. Wouldn't surprise me if they did let him go though. Can't really work him into anything, and he wasn't nearly as big an impact wrestler as WWE expected him to be. He gets heat from the crowds quite a bit from what I've noticed. So if they let him go I woulden't be too shocked by it.

Uh oh. I hope they can work everything out. I don't care about selling to heels, who deserves what title, or any of that shit. Goldberg is the only wrestler on RAW that brings any intensity or excitement to the show. Him and HBK are pretty much the only reasons I watch the show anymore.

I loved the Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels match on RAW. It was one of the better matches I've seen for a while. I hope that if their rematch takes place it's just as good. And did anyone else notice that it looked like Scott Steiner initially missed that low blow on Rob Vam Dam?

Goldberg is fun for me to watch on and off. I just can't stand to see him on a continuous basis. The man has no mic skills and seeing him in 12 matches that follow the same story board of moves is silly.
1) Goldberg body slams the guy 2) Goldberg waits for the guy to get up to spear him. 3) From the spear we see the Jackhammer and match over. *Yawn* It's true most WWE matches end that way, but in most cases especially in the WCW that was Goldberg's whole match. Also, I don't care if Goldberg's gimmick is being a beast or not, I hate the fact that he's been allowed to kick out of most superstar's finishers not once in a match but twice. (HHH, Kane, The Rock, etc.)
