"Justify My Love" was co-written by Madonna and Lenny Kravitz.

It's funny about the Billy Gibbons thing, because I have heard that Hendrix had heard of him when he was just a young blues player in Texas. As a matter of fact my snopes link above says that he mentioned Billy during an interview on the Dick Cavett Show.

Next question, also an easy one.

Speaking of Lenny Kravitz, who was his famous mom?

Man, that's a hard one, but here it is:

Roxie Roker

I remember seeing her on Amazon Women on the Moon. Unforgetable.

My Turn?

O.K.

Name the two members of Santana who left to form another famous San Francisco band

This question is covered already, in the first question asked when the thread started.

For those who don't know from the previous answer, Kravitz' mother was in the television series "The Jeffersons."

We need a different question, Mellvar. That was my original one that opened up this thread.

The unofficial rules of this thread, by it's creator.

This is to keep the thread moving somewhat. It also gives you guys time to work, sleep, etc.
The rules are this:
An unanswered question has 24 hours before it is deemed a stumper. At that point, the asker will ask another question (hopefully a little easier)
An answered question has 12 hours to be confirmed. If you are certain you have the question correct, go ahead and ask a new question to move this thing along.
On the same lines, after a question has been confirmed correct, the person who answers it has 12 hours from that point to ask a new one. If that doesn't happen, the answer is nullified and the person who asked the last question, asks a new one.

What an easy question... Now you'll have to Cry! Cry! Cry! while you figure out my hard and obscure question...

The 1984 Album "City Baby's Revenge" included a cover attributed to the Stooges. Upon listening to the track it is obvious that it is IN fact a homage to yet another group.

What group is it and what song by that group off of what album?

Bonus pts: What is the original song title of the Stooges cover?

OOH OOH LET ME....It was Dave Evans

Ok, my turn.

You know Axl Rose was part of the namesake of Guns 'N Roses.

Who was the other original namesake member of GNR & what band did he go on to form?

Gee that would be Tracii Guns and the band was LA Guns

von http://www.laguns.net/

Quote:
Los Angeles, 1983. Guitarist Tracii Guns formed The LA Guns with singer Axl Rose, bassist Ole Beich, and drummer Rob Gardner. Axl later quit to form Hollywood Rose and was replaced by Michael Jagosz. The band demoed in 1984, but Tracii & Rob left to reform with Axl as Guns N’ Roses (after Tracii Guns & Axl Rose) and LA Guns broke up. Tracii left GNR because he didn’t like the direction of their music to re-form his own band. Guns N’ Roses replaced him with guitarist Slash and went on to sell millions of records. Faster Pussycat members, drummer Paul “Mars” Black (who switched to vocals) & guitarist Mick Cripps (who switched to bass) teamed up with drummer Nickey “Beat” Alexander and Tracii to form a third LA Guns, and were later joined by Dogs D’Amour guitarist Robert Stoddard. They demoed and giged in 1985 and 1986 until Paul was replaced because of drug problems by Phil Lewis of the British band, Girl (with Def Leppard’s Phil Collen). Mick switched to guitar after Robert left, and another former member of Faster Pussycat, Kelly Nickels was added on bass. The LA Guns then recorded their first album, released in 1988 on Vertigo Records, ‘LA Guns.’ Alexander was replaced by former WASP drummer Steve Riley for the tour and this lineup remained until 1992

I didn't know about any singers beofre Bon.

Good Job.

Since I screwed up, I'll let the current question stand.

ahhhhh!!!! I haven't heard that damn album since high school!!!

but yeah Astrocloud that's I Feel Alright, from GBH, and the original is 1970 I Feel Alright from the Stooges (fun house). unless you're talkin bout the Damned (Damned Damned Damned) who covered them too (ok i had to google that one, to remember the album title..do i still get points???) i think the stooges were way ahead of their time, and the MC5 too!!

man it's wacked out that i actually got all those records

Here's my question: Which legend of reggae music made a tune, which I thought of right away (but is not in any way related, go figure...) also called "I Feel Alright"??

Nope...within in the realm of reggae music this artist is arguably just as huge as Bob but is popularly not as widely known.
Maybe that song is too obscure to be recognizable so I've got a punk question for you all tonight if no one gets it.

OK so Toots and the Maytals did a track called I Feel Alright, I was hoping someone who listens to a lot of reggae like me would pick that up, but I knew that was probably pretty obscure tho. Great tune, tho in any case!!

Here's a better question:

what's the name of Henry Rollins' first band?
punk/hardcore on a famous DC record label. Name the label if you can, at least, but I'll be real impressed if anyone knows the band....

nope...good guess tho, Henry Rollins was most famous for Black Flag or Rollins Band, but that's why i'm trying to stump people!!

This was his first band, before Black Flag, on the same label and about the same time as Minor Threat.
The record label's based in Washington DC and is well known in punk rock...it was founded by Ian McKaye of Minor Threat and Fugazi.

To stick with the rules of this forum and keep this thing moving along, I'll restate that a new question needs to be asked within 12 hours of correctly answering it.
With that said, I think it's only fair to have Fearless_Hyena ask a new question. And please folks, make sure you read at least a few of the previous reply's so that we don't get more than one question at a time!
Thanks-
