Protein Questions?
I am 5' 7 165IBS. I have been in the process of losing weight. I am back where I should be although I still see problem areas, mainly my stomach. That is where my fat still exist. I am gong to have to start working on that, which has always been a hard area to work on for me.
I run a lot. In fact I average anywhere from 35-42 miles per week on the tread-mill. I also lift weights after running. Here are the following things I take every day: NO Xplode-Drink for morning Mega Men Vitamin Universal Natural Sterol TWINLAB Glutamine Fuel Amino Acid Pills Xyience NOX-CG3-Drink in after noon With getting back to my weight, I am a little scared to start to start with whey protein. Is there any type of protein that will help me put more muscle on, but not increase my weight a lot? I am just a little scared, because I have worked really hard to get back to this weight. I do want to put on more muscle though also. Can someone point me to a product that would help. Thanks so much for your help! Jason |

Yeah, there is only one whey protein that you need to get. It is hands down the best protein, and the cheapest for the quality that you get. If you read any weight lifting site they will also agree with me. It is called 100% Whey Protein by Optimum. Remember the brand Optimum bc a lot of protein powders have the same name. Here is a little info http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/whey.html
As soon as my other crappy whey protein runs out Im definitely gonna buy this. Hope this helps. |

1st: wake up and eat nothing. 2nd: do as much abs as you can. Why? Easy, because in the morning your metabolism works best, ans since you have ate nothing, your body has nothing to generate energy from, apart from that stored fat. That way you'll get rid of it. Now an important tip: when doing your abs, keep your body guessing, if you the same thing over and over again without even the slightest alteration, your body will get used to it. There's a nice library of ab exercises on bodybuilding.com. Just do one a day, and then alter them as you see fit. |

i currently use the 100% whey that was already mentioned. works great, and just over 100 calories per serving.
also remember that your body can only use about 32g's at a time. pretty much anything over that is pissed out. split your protein up through out the day. as far as the middle, not sure if this is your thing, but i've "seen" people use clenbuterol stacked with caffeine and injected subQ into problem areas with really good results.

I agree with SofaKing on ON. It is great stuff.
Jolly J - one thing that helps with the fat use is to build an aerobic base by spending a certain amount of time doing cardio at lower levels. HIIT is great and needed; however, another way to move your heart rate up in conjunction to HIIT is the lower cardio stuff. I've heard that you want to keep your hi-level stuff to under 20%.

Whoever said that doing abs on an empty stomach is just plain wrong. You won't have nearly as much energy as you did if you ate something beforehand. Working out in the morning on an empty stomach provides no additional gain.
The key to losing fat weight: 1) Eat a low-calorie, very low saturated fat diet that is high in protein. Each day you should be operating at a caloric deficit (ex. Metabolism=2300 Calories, eat ~1800 Calories/day) 2) Use whey as a primary source of protein. Optimum Nutrition is a great brand at a low price. Boneless, skinless, grilled chicken breasts are another great source of protein (30-40g/breast) and has almost no fat. 3) Run at low-intensity for longer. Instead of running at 6.5mph for 30min, run at 5.5 for 60min. 4) Abdominal exercises are great, especially for back support, unfortunately they won't help you lose weight. You will only be making the muscles stronger. YOU CANNOT SPOT REDUCE FAT! 5) Make sure that you eat healthy and eat a LOT of protein (1g/1lb body weight) so that you are not losing muscle mass as you lose weight. 6) Don't use the NO-Xplode anymore. The best "supplement" for lifting weights is protein, i.e. the building blocks of muscle. You can also forgo the amino acid pills b/c all protein is are amino acids. One serving of a whey protein drink will supply you with all the amino acids you need.

I"ve had excellent results with this product called Kre-Alkalyn. It has helped alot with endurance durin lifting sets and such, its a type of creatine. It's not one of those load for 2 week bullshit things, just take a pill half an hour before workout.
