Jolly J - one thing that helps with the fat use is to build an aerobic base by spending a certain amount of time doing cardio at lower levels. HIIT is great and needed; however, another way to move your heart rate up in conjunction to HIIT is the lower cardio stuff. I've heard that you want to keep your hi-level stuff to under 20%.
