My dog found a pacifier... he sucked and chewed it to destruction
|
I know I've killed some of you guys with the flood of Stanley pics, but I wanted to throw in a few more. :o
Here is a shot of him with my sister's brand new Boston Terrier puppy. He's less than 2lbs in these pictures, and Stanley is just a shade under 70lbs. Also one with him and all the dogs my sister and parents have (all Bostons), and one with him and his new treat, a real cow hoof. :D http://mrpburke.com/fileupload/uploa...son1_copy2.jpg http://mrpburke.com/fileupload/uploa...eybostons9.jpg http://mrpburke.com/fileupload/uploa...y273_copy1.jpg |
Aw.
Babies grow up so fast. <3 |
I know I know... grainy cell phone pic. But I had to capture the moment. He looks so innocent lol.
He's not feeling very well. Ear infections - the left ear is really bad. Stinks. And getting medicine in him is hell. Poor baby. http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/2694/mikey120309.jpg |
Awww poor baby! He does look awful cute woods.
|
Thanks :).
He's my little world lol. No clue where I'd be today w/out him. |

Everyone has such adorable animals.
Here is one of my babies. Spike was probably 8 months old in this picture. |
Aw I had a cat named Spike! He was the most amazing animal ever. Seriously brilliant. LOVED Burger King burgers. He was so sick but he just wouldn't die. I had to aid in that :(. RIP

GenuineGirly, I LOVE your bunny with the cute sweater! This makes me want to have a bunny, but I think my cats would eat it. Well, Spike and Thomas would just play. Xena Warrior Kitten would destroy. |
Awww, Stanley's getting big!
And omg, bunny sweater. *dies from cute* |

http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/9042/crazyspike.jpg As you can see from the above pic, Spike is visibly mentally deranged. Here are his two mutant (polydactyl) pals, Kirby and Zoey. http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/5...zoeybyfire.jpg |
Yay for Spikes!
I had a black leather, spiked collar on him for a little while. It was hysterical, if you knew his personality. He was such a badass 'in the wild,' but really he was just an old, lazy Jewish man in a cat's body. The black kitteh is gorgeous. As always, Stanley WILL be mine one day. :o |

Finn, our extra-toed autistic cat has developed the habit of stealing mini-potatoes from the kitchen and hiding them all over the house, in corners, under beds, in the bathroom closet, behind the toilet, etc.

Those are some cool pictures of Sam. Very expressive.
lol@Finn. One of mine, the smallest, does this with papers with weird textures. I went to take a shower yesterday and found a sheet of Christmas labels in the tub. |

Here are my animals:
Duke, the best friend and companion I have ever had. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...te/dukeers.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...conite/011.jpg In case you couldn't tell by the hair on the sheets... That's HIS side of the bed. And my lovely bunny, Oz. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...conite/oz3.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...ite/ozcord.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...nite/ozmat.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...ite/ozmat2.jpg |
Salem, Oz looks like a very happy bun! I'm not familiar with his breed - almost like a Hotot but with colored ears?
Here's the latest of Cinnabunny. She's all dressed up for a chilly-weather romp. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2713/...e93d7ecc24.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2801/...c6103a0c36.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2605/...b7a0a474_b.jpg And stealing treats from Tt http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2609/...15fea105dd.jpg |
Why thankyou Genuine! He is a fairly happy, relaxed bun! Cinnabunny is adorable! I love her outfits!! As for his breed, the best I or the vet could tell is that he is a dwarf/lop cross. But now that I've looked up hoto a bit, he might be Dwarf hoto/lop. He's not very small, but he's only about 6 months and he's about..4 pounds. Roughly the size of a football. He's not entirely lop, but his ears are too long to be full dwarf, and when he's relaxed or checking things out his left ear flops all the way down. It's very cute actually

My step-purrins...
Dexter and Faust. And Vex, my 17 pound buh-heee-muth kitten, enjoying the heater. Isaac no-feel-good, so no camera torture. |
Here are a couple more of my beast. Stanley LOVES the snow. He's pushing 90lbs now @ 6 1/2 months. His brother just one Best in Class at a major dog show in Chicago last month.

I want to kiss his face.
Chloe - my friend's dog years ago (RIP now :(,) used to do a little trick. You'd tell her 'gimme a kiss' and she'd stick her snout towards your face so you could kiss her on the mouth. No tongues involved. She'd be perfectly still. The prickly sensation was indescribable otherwise lol. Awww, Chloe. Hey, is he a fairly calm dog? He looks like it but pics can be deceiving lol. |
Quote:
He is calm almost all the time. Usually once or twice a day he'll freak out for 5-10 minutes at a time wanting to play rough or run around and bark. But he spends most of his time sleeping in 20-30 minute stretches, getting up and stretching, taking about 3-4 steps, then finding the next most comfortable place for a nap. :p I usually do either take him for a walk, or to the dog park 3-5 times per week. He loves that, and always loves being around other dogs. :) |
That's one thing I'd be paranoid about, with owning a larger dog like that. They're easy to injure. And once that knee goes out of whack, for example, it'll usually continue to go out of whack off and on for the rest of his life. But I love mastiffs. Any large dog for that matter. They're like having another person in your house but they don't talk and they love to snuggle and stuff lol.
He looks gorgeous though Borla. Very healthy. You should be a proud Poppa :). |

I love these pictures of all you animals TFP.
Nomcat, I especially love the pictures of your rats. Reminds me of the rats I had before I became too allergic to them to have them anymore. Attachment 21253 GG, I absolutely love your bunny. I had a bunny, when I was about 12. He used to 'love' all of my stuffed animals, and left them all gooey. Sadly, I currently don't have any pets. I miss my last pet chinchilla Xoe very much. She was a sweet, cute, fun, little bunny-rat. Attachment 21254 |
nomcat, rats are awesome, my daughter has a bunch of them. But beware! She ended up in the hospital for five days last year with a nasty strep infection that she got from one of her rats.

Here is one from early this week with an American Eskimo dog that had just gotten too short of a haircut. Crazy hyper lil bugger too. Very friendly and sociable with all the people and the dogs, but also ran around like he was high on crack the whole time. Cute pup. :D
http://mrpburke.com/fileupload/uploa...ydogpark23.jpg Here is one of a little Puggle puppy that kept trying to hump Stanley. The problem was that if he stood up high enough to put his paws on him, he couldn't get any thrusting action going at the same time. :D Stanley kept looking at him like "uhh, what are you doing?" and turning real fast to knock him off. :p http://mrpburke.com/fileupload/uploa...ydogpark34.jpg And here are a couple of him just chillin in the snow. http://mrpburke.com/fileupload/uploa...ydogpark26.jpg http://mrpburke.com/fileupload/uploa...ydogpark33.jpg Also a couple of videos (crappy quality with my 3-4 yr old digicam) of Stanley at the dog park. One is playing with a Doberman named Zephyr. Another of him eating snow until Zephyr's buddy (can't remember the name, same guy owns them both) convinces him to chase after him. :p |

Meet Bailey!!
Bailey nearly died to find us. she was in the middle of the road in a very rural area, my wife almost ran her over. After checking with the only two house in the area, my wife decided that she was dumped there and needed to join our family.
We believe she is either a pit or a mastiff. Judging by her size (5lbs.), her teeth, and that her bellybutton is still healing, we think she's about 5 weeks old. The vet agrees, and says that other than a slight heart murmur, she's a pretty healthy girl. http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l2...ley/Bailey.jpg |

Here is a bit of a Stanley update. A little over 10 months old now.
http://lstwo.com/images/18062286483029615708.jpg Stanley with a boxer buddy of his, named Jack. http://lstwo.com/images/82266260059912935994.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/30711070708442860517.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/95585923994164429794.jpg Here are a couple of his dog park buddies. This is Gucci the pitbull. They are inseparable when both at the park. If you ask Stanley anything about "Gucci" he gets all excited. http://lstwo.com/images/53739537467551627087.jpg Here is Porter, a Great Dane. He's about the only dog regularly at the park that Stanley gets completely pushed around by when they wrestle. It's hilarious to watch, like two big bucks going at it. http://lstwo.com/images/66661986307107870458.jpg The English Terrier is Marcus, the Vizsla is Cheyenne. http://lstwo.com/images/86049960429582146467.jpg And here he is nomomomomoming on a cow femur. http://lstwo.com/images/48964546727409281636.jpg Honestly, most of the changes the last month or two are pretty subtle. He has only gained about 5lbs, most of it in his head. |
Yes, the hummingbird was alive and flew away a few seconds later. I didn't see it land there, I can only guess that it had flown into a window and been stunned.

major pet dorkery ahead
I have two short haired black cats, Momo and Ella. They're not related; Momo was adopted as a kitten over 12 years ago, and I adopted Ella as a playmate for him a few months after. She's approximately his same age, maybe a few months older. I hadn't intended on getting two black cats. It just worked out that way.
