Pepples is adorable. Those eyes! How can you resist those eyes, and the tufts of hair on her face? And I am not a dog person. Maybe I should get a chorkie for my babies....hmmm....

Red? What you think?

She's noisy, especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. She leaves hair all over everything. Sometimes she stinks. But even with all that, I can tell we're going to get on just fine.

Oh, and she says

The Tribe is quite striking. Mad Frankie Frazier and the Crudler are very charming fellows. The Crudler is soooo handsome. His face is so alive. And, of course Buster is quite charming as well. It looks very beautiful where you live.

fitzneal 02-11-2007 09:44 PM

Thanks Grancey - Yeah they are just that 'A Tribe' :)

It is quite nice where I am,by the river and surrounded by countryside, yet very close to a small Georgian market town in the south of England.

The view of Buster was taken about 500 yards from my place.....(just before the fecker jumped in again for the umpteeth time!!!!)

Taken the day we got him ^
Last year in June, Alpha and I brought home a new puppy. After losing Blacky I was finally ready to have another smallish dog. Alpha named him Victor.
He's now 9 months old and still a hyper little monster. Luckily I have the luxury of bringing him to work with me everyday. He's very well socialized with people and other dogs. He's pretty much a Mountain Feist and I think has topped out at 19 lbs. Course he's still getting more muscular but heighth wize I think he's done growing. Knows pretty much to stay away from Artemis and the others if they're grumpy. We do seem to have a problem with him chasing Sniffles. She is too darn nice to smack him silly for it. Cleo absolutely loves to play with him...but not too much. She's getting a little old for playing for hours on end with puppies.

http://img45.imageshack.us/img45/9018/hpim2255ua9.jpg
Taken tonight....

http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/6433/hpim2259au1.jpg
also tonight....His newest trick to try and get what he wants is to sit up and hold his paws together like he's saying "pretty pllleeaaase"

*edit Bought Squishy a new tank. a 2.5 gallon min bow with filter. He seems to like it.
The flash makes him appear blue but under normal light he is almost all maroonish or red with purple on his fins

Most of the pets are really cute. I have 2 dogs at home, one is a Chihuahua and very cute. I wanted to show you the picture but I don't know how to post pictures.

onthedge 05-22-2007 08:50 PM

Hey nikita, why don't you join a free image hosting site?? It will be much easier for. You just have to upload your photo and then copy and paste the direct link of the image in the "insert image" box and your picture will appear in your post.

Here you are my two cute little dogs, just adopted it.

My Parrot, Himmel. We found her (him?) near our house with the wings cut off.

Laugh-o-matic, I LOVE that second picture!

Here is the newest addition to our family...Apollo. We got him from someone off of Craigslist after our other cockatiel died. He is feisty, noisy, and absolutely charming :)

I think I posted another picture of our other cockatiel, Roofus, but here she is again anyway....

And...the two of them together, just a few minutes ago...

Grancey 09-12-2007 08:56 PM

Ginger is quite a beauty. What a sweety.
And Smudgey and Peanut!..Why, Smudgey has the most gorgeous eyes. And Peanut reminds me a lot of my own Baxter..same eyes, color and body shape....
And although I know nothing about raising birds, Apollo is an interesting looking character...

Cynthetiq: Whenever I look at the picture of your cats I get a sudden urge to come up with some sort of witty caption for it and upload it to icanhazcheeseburger.com :)
I'm normally not a cat person (dogs all the way!), but you guys have some really cute cats :) Looking at this thread make me miss my dog Frida. My parents may have paid for her and they may take care of her and live with her but she is still my dog :) Luckily Christmas is close so I'll get to see her soon enough :P

Fly: I think Frida and your dogs would get along great... Seems like they share the same hobbies (not moving, sleeping, lying down etc.) :)

PJ, there must be some mistake. Your "Larry" doesn't look anything like my sister's cat "Larry", or my stepdaughter's car named "Larry". Aren't there naming rules or something about the use of Prophet Larry's name?

Better come up with a good one, Bud, 'cuz I think something blasphemous is happening here. :orly:

He was a Pony of the Americas.. leapord appaloosa pattern on his bum during the summer. :) He was a stubborn little man.. but definitely the best pony a little girl could ask for. lotsofmagnets, those look like a handful, and a lot of fun. Dogs are great.
Quite the devil, PaddyJoe. I like how red light looks against a blackish cat.

lotsofmagnets 04-29-2008 01:43 PM

they are an absolute handful. add to that one cat, about 6 chickens, one duck and between 4 & 8 magpies and my parents´ household is pretty busy. we also have geese occasionally driop by and there are a couple of koalas that hang around as well. no kangaroos but we´ve seen a few wallabies. i want to bring my paretns o/s in the coming year but who´s going to maintain the hoard?

genuinegirly 04-29-2008 01:54 PM

Oh my goodness!!! I've never heard of so many adorable and non-standard pets in one place.

lotsofmagnets 04-29-2008 07:05 PM

it´s something that happened over time. it all seemed like a good idea at the time then suddenly we have more animals than yard space. i forgot about the pond so add a few goldfish and various frogs as well :s i´m starting to think about mebe getting me either a pet rat or bird here in iceland but i would only get either animal if i didn´t need to cage it. my mum has instilled in me a strong opinion of containing animals (the chickens and duck are the only animals with a fence around them for their own safety and everyday, under supervision they are allowed into the yard for a few hours even though the coop is very large.)

lotsofmagnets 05-04-2008 06:40 AM

just found a rare picture of our cat. 16 years old and still looks like a kitten. notice how much the magpie and the cat care about each other. whn the magpie wanted cat food the cat was more tha happy so share...

Today I found our dog. His name is Simba and he is awesome. I feel like I found a lost prince. He's so well behaved (he even knows 'sit,' 'shake' and 'lay down,' lol) and he's a fluffy hugabee, too. He luxuriates in affection.
Pictures aren't that great - I haven't wanted to harass him too much with the camera. I suspect he will be a great model for me, though.

But here is Simba, the little bear that now lives in our house. :hearts:

That is one beautiful animal you have found, MM. I look forward to seeing your future pictures of the new arrival.

I am so in love with our new dog...took him to the dog park on Friday which is quickly becoming one of my favorite places. Didn't get many interesting photographs, but we are going back to today and I'm going to try some different things. But I got a few pictures of Simba. Our manbear.

he'll never admit it, but he liked this...

Thank you for your patience while I wax ecstatic about my dog.

That last picture of Simba is fantastic, mixedmedia.
Simba appears to be an exceptionally wonderful dog.

My Prince boy always is deep in thought,
he is thinking thinking thinking all the time.
You should see the games he makes up,
he will arrange his bones and toys and then talk to them,
and he makes his toys interact with each other.
I have some video of his playtime with his friends...it's charming.

More of the Princer.
Prince helped me overcome my distaste for small dogs.
He adopted me, and gave me a chance.
He's not the mindless yappy sort.
He's all dog - in a 10 pound package.

ring 03-01-2009 03:28 PM

Dogs are the best people.
If life went to the dogs,
we should be grateful.

mixedmedia 03-01-2009 03:32 PM

Heaven goes by favor not merit, if it went by merit you would stay out and your dog would go in.

badly paraphrasing Mark Twain.

CinnamonGirl 03-01-2009 07:09 PM

Awww...he's so fluffy! I wanna hug him. A lot.

paddyjoe 03-02-2009 06:08 AM
