Cracked
To the core
The flaw that you see
Is what makes the me me
You saw inside the crystal ball
The leaves turn red before they fall
The fire burns without a pyre
The room bequeath's a sense of higher
My twisted spine will mask your smile
I'll walk with you another mile
Until you see the light that shines
The memories will be of times
We see inside what we want
It seems to be our only haunt
A flaw to you, but not to me
Open your eyes, and you will see

If my days passed me by,
would I still be here?
If I left this world lonely,
would anyone know?
If I gave all I had,
would I have anything left?
If I loved you like there
was no tommorow,
would tommorow ever come?

would you hold on to my heart?
If true love exsists,
does love leave you blue?
Where do we go,
when we feel all is lost?
When we feel lost,

A place I've found while in a dream
awakened from my slumber
Will I embrace it as I know,
I usally choose to cumber?
Can I deny the place I am,
I know I've been before
The quest they call my short
short life
has led me to this door
Can I find what it really takes,
to step through this threshold
Or will I turn and walk away,
leaving me so cold
I've found what I've been looking for,
It's laid before my feet
I pray to God to help me now,
So I can be complete

I walk through darkness to find you there,
A ray of sunshine with flowing hair
A kiss to wake your troubled soul
Two halves together as a whole
A spark to light the early dawn
A flame that somehow had been gone
The light resounding through the earth
a warmness as you feel the mirth
Somehow something holds you back,
what is it that you really lack?
The questions plague your weary mind
You pray that somehow you will find
Look ahead, and look around
Is what you lost,worth what you've found?
The answer that you know is true
No matter what will make you blue
It's time to ask yourself just why
you want to have another try
In the end as you go on
You know the words to a sad song
To sing forever if you chose
or smile and chase away your ruse
You hold within your hands your fate
take the time to choose the gate
Close the latch and turn away
Smile, laugh, love and play

The thunder roars and then the hail
beats upon my head
The sun peeks through a cloud of gray,
remembering words you said
Today is gone and so tommorow
brings another day
will I be here for the sunrise
will he let me stay
The days are passing as my life
gets closer to the end
I don't know how I will go on,
if I don't have my friend
The path I walk has led me to
this threshold where I stand
The next step that I take will lead me
a new uncharted land
Will you walk with me together,
hand in hand as one
or will you walk toward another
leaving me undone
The question's that we ask are so
as if we know the answer
as if the fire burns not bright
to put out all the cancer

A word or two can last a day,
ringing in your ear
Do I hear what you are saying
when all I hear is fear?
Can we dance the night away,
or sing until the dawn
Will intentions make it right,
when it feels so wrong?
Will the day of words go past,
without a resoulution
or will we find more to say,
seeking retribution
Can a word change how you feel
or will you feel the same
Knowing is there really any
one that seeks the blame

Suumers light creeps through the cracks,
I can't feel my head
If I pull the shutters down,

If I seal it nice and tight,
I won't have to run
If I close this shop up tight,
and not let light shine in,
I won't have to feel a thing,
I will get quite thin
As I slam the door tonight,
so I won't have to see
I can hide in my darkness,

If I hide from allergies,
my eyes may somehow shut,
I can block out everything,

I've had a sip of what I like,
I'd like to take a drink
as I walk this crooked path,
I'll take time to think
This road I walk is steep today,
With wretched cobble stones,
As I navigate this hill,
I think of the ones
The roads I took were sometimes smooth,
as others were quite tough,
The ones that helped me most in life,
are ones that were quite rough
I put my foot out as I take,
another step to you
I know that in my longing heart,
we will not be through
I step again and realize,
that this cannot be wrong,
the long and twisted winding roads,
are those that make us strong

This journey that's led me to this place,
where I can see the sun
I know that in our troubled hearts,
together we will run
Our paths led to the same old place,
where we both know wer'e from
in my mind I know that it,
is where we are home
Hurry here I'll wait for you,
cause I gave you the key
Come home to me soon sweet girl,
you have the key to free

We'll step through to this new place,
and I will take your hand,
we'll walk the rest of this nice trail,
to new uncharted lands
The road ahead looks long to me,
with smooth and windy roads,
As two as one when times get tough,
we'll carry both our loads
I see a sun that shines throughout,
the deepest darkest winter,
I see a tall oak standing firm,
that will never splinter

This tree has grown from two small seeds,
in heaven that were sown
The years and roads are those of which,
together we have grown
The time and place for us is now,
to take the next small step
as I look into your eyes,
I have no regret
Our love is real and so it is,
The one that is the truth,
as we walk toward the light,
the summer of our youth

The greatest poem twas ever written,
was one that was so true
It spoke of love and tenderness,
a feeling that was new
It said the things that I would say,
if I could find the words,
It portrayed the essence of a soul,
who's memory had been stirred
It went into a great detail,
it left no words unspoken,
It whispered of a spirit that,
forever won't be broken
It gave a smile to all who read,
and as they read they knew,
the poem was written for a girl,
as beautiful as you
The writing seemed to make some sense,
to those that knew of love,
The spirit written in those lines,
made them think thereof
It brought a smile to my sad face,
it took away my blue,
Because my love the greatest poem,
was one I wrote for you

Are all the endings still the same,

or have my prayers been answered now,

Why must I believe that I,

play some vicious game
I read a book before I came,
to this enchanted earth,
I met the person that I love,
long before my birth
I know that in my trembling heart,
that this book will be different,
I know that as the story goes,
from heaven we were sent
I'll turn the page and close my eyes,
I'll wish upon a star,
We'll read the words together as,
I know we will go far
Altough some books are tough to read,
some left me feeling rending,
I won't quit reading now because,
our book is neverending

A bit gregarious for the taste,
although the spoons not full
it's easier to stay inside ,
despite the times are dull
To stretch the boundries
That are layed out
might be a greater risk
than to wallow in the mud
and swim among the bisque
To taste the outer fringe of life,
seems to be the key
how a mind can open up,
how it can be be free
If you want to see the light
excited as you say
take a step from where your at,
take some time to play
The dim light shines a beacon as,
it seems to say the same
If you stay inside and hide,
you'll have no one to blame

My fingers numb as I can feel
it pulsing through my heart
It feels as though something is torn,

The strands remain as strong as though,

I have the choice to cut them now,

Should I hold on as time will be,
The key to a repair
or should I shut the door and run,
I know what is in store
A song came on again today,
that brought me back to you,
It told of times when we were glad,
of how our love was new
I know that true love will prevail,
it's written through the times
Hearts will break and hearts will mend,

I must let go and let you feel

of a hole that feels wrong
Two wholes can make one,
tis true I have seen
I cannot belive,
the whole that I've been
An empty hole filled,
over the top
all of a sudden,
the bottom did drop
The whole hole continued,
to be filled with space
as I sat and thought,
of such a nice place
I sew fast the sticthes,
and wrap it up tight,
for someday I know,
my hole will be right

if I use it not it feels,

will love live in my heart again,

I fell upon a prickly thorn,
it pierced throughout my chest
The love lies bleeding in my hand,
I hope it's not it's last
I walk a softer slower pace,
I'm guarded once again

and gaze at the lake down below
The mist rises up from the new falling snow,
kissing the waters glass eye
I wave to the sun as I sing my old song,
I think of a memory and cry
The trek to the top has me broken and torn,

I climb to the crest, as the other side waits,
will this be the time that I die
I think for a moment, then think for a while,
I think of a memory and smile
I start on my walk, and know in my heart,

The words stacking up as I play
another rooms warm,
That I see today,
this creaky old house
will not die
I go room to room,
sometimes I will stay,
the treasures are hidden inside

I search for a clue,
to what lays in store,
as I find my words once again,

the place that I love
in my mind

I lay down the words,
I tickle the keys,
I try to squeeze out
a small giggle
I hold fast the knob,
and as the key turns,

This house on the beach,
Is creaky and old,

A songstress, like a blackbird, that let out a soft crow,

A journey, to the center, of perplexing tales we told,

If losing is a way to win,
a portal I've crossed over

Seeing you in this dull light is like a day in June
You sing a song of innocence, from forth the mouths of babes,

the parchment holding you
The lines seem unsuspecting as,

The flowing robe of crimson,

The angel that arrives one day,
may bring you only pain
We look toward the future as,

The parchment holds a split second,
it's too bad it can't change,

A mirrors tale might be the book,

and if the candle has no flame,
