The beauty of this winding road,
Is taking in the curves
The sunshine and the flowers,
settles down my nerves
I'm smiling and I'm happy,
I'm singing a nice song
I'm listening to birds singing,
whilst carrying my load
I'm thankful for the gift of life,
and for the things I see,
I'm happy to just be alive,
and the me I see
I pray for others to find smiles,
as I have found myself,
The friends I have around me know,
have filled my soul with wealth
I want to say to all that hear,
the words that from me spout
thanks for listening to my rhymes,
I love you all no doubt
Here's a smile to all who read,
the poems I share with you,
Today is here and with the light,
My spirit's feeling new
