I was in Christchurch,
1977. A beautiful place. (2x4)-5-2=1 |
I was an altar boy for over 5 years if that counts for anything. Fortunately for the church, I never developed a taste for altar wine though I got a liking for incense. And fortunately for me, I never ran into an abusive priest.
|
Wouldn't you run away from a one?
|
Religious humor ran past
& laid me out laughing on the floor, like over-incensed of-the-cloths. |
On the other hand, there was another older altar boy who was a real nasty bully. Luckily, a couple years later he was pulling his shit again but failed to notice I was now as big as he was and I commenced to kick his ass with great satisfaction. I never pick a fight but he deserved it.

We all deserve it, temptations of faith aside, & assholery. //A rabbi & a priest are in a car accident. Both escape without a scratch, though the cars are totalled. They agree it's miraculous. "Even more miraculous," says the rabbi, "is this unbroken bottle of kosher wine in my boot." He opens the wine & passes it to the priest, who takes a few swigs. The rabbi then throws the bottle away. "You're not having any?" the priest asks. "Nah, I'll wait until the police come," the rabbi answers.// |
I have a friend in NZ, but haven't been able to find her in years. :(
You drive a hard bargain, OCM. |

This thread reminds me of the sermon in church last Sunday. Like the peace of God, it passes all understanding. And like His mercy, it seems to go on forever. Lindy |
Referring to sermons, too,
needs to be as well considered as. You can read between the lines. & seriously, we're having many bits of trouble maintaining many numbers. ((2x(4+5))/2=9 |
245 and then that "30" is my lucky number!
|
My lucky number's
come in over & over. I never had it... (2x4)/(5+3)=1 ...except for five times already this dismal year & way related. |
Hard bargain, indeed,
that can leave the thread hanging for almost a day! 2+4-5-3=-2 |

Graphic evidence my faith isn't too misplaced since it's the species'. thanks, BadNick! |
In spite of how mine behave sometimes, I think they have good hearts. Maybe the wires from the heart to the brain get adversely effected by external radiation sources, like solar flares.

The heart & the brain
had some lunch through the stomach & agreed on things. ((2x4)-5)+3=6 |
For lunch today I'm having an Italian chicken cutlet sandwich with sharp provolone, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, from Altomonte's Italian Market. Of course I have a picture:

Nice presentation of the colors & textures & flavors that sing. |
a couple very cute, friendly Italian girls work there, too

Bonus eye candy
adds to the experience, & it's tastier. 2x4x.5=4+0 |
The Italian mythological Sirens are a symphony to my ears, too, since they speak with a cute Italian accent.

Spring is sprung. Happy Spring!

Hi all. I love you.
(Yes. This, too, means I hate them.) - - - (Peace, love, and whenever you can find the time, vengeance.) |
Sorry, I don't have time for bad feelings. I bet this will be a great Spring and Summer, in spite of the predicted snow flurry tomorrow.

Vengeance is mine, says the Lord,
& the peace surpassing understanding, sometimes using the weather. ...Happy Birthday to my daughter! |
Happy Birthday to one of your dearest!!!
I shall have several toasts to her health and happiness. |

Happiness is contentedness with what you have, at peace with what you cannot possess, and kind in mind with the things worth waiting for... (/my compiled starting thoughts from overlooking at the picture above.)

You're a wise man, Jetée.
I just ate a bag of an interesting new junk food I found. I liked the taste, sort of like Cheetos made from peas (credit for that description goes to Katie Carpenter) and the nutritional facts make it seem not as bad as a lot of other stuff I eat. In in few minutes I'm also posting it in the "what you're eating now" thread. So this stuff is Snapea Crisps made by Calbee Calbee America They are baked, and the ingredients don't sound bad for a lightly salted snack: green peas, corn oil, rice, salt, calcium carbonate, ascorbic acid. As mentioned on the packaging, I bet they could taste good in a salad or with some kind of dip. They also make Veggie Mix Crunches which I'll try soon. Here's the Snapea Crisps: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...apeacrisps.jpg |
I just got done eating (meaning: about ~4 hours ago) baby carrot sticks as my after-dinner cleanser. Yes.
You may not notice the similarities, but I just can't help in seeing everything is inter-connected (even the ominous things). |
I also may have just watched my first ever episode of Wings (I thought it was a sitcom about about the Air Force?).
Very errie at how very similar Tony Shalhoub's bleak outlook on life is to the point, exactly concurrent with my own (despite my knowing that near every character he's ever portrayed is over-the-top foreign, false, and disbelieving -- not unlike myself, too). |

I was longing for something so I came back here.

Pretend the wrong ears, they will come back & screw you; the joy comes within. |
My ears are about normal, but my nose, while not the longest, is above average.

A distinctive nose I like above a few things including armpits. |
my brain enjoys processing smells so I'm thankful for my schnowzer
