//The findings happenstance gives
are incredibly satisfying when your need to know knows limits.// (I didn't have anything to go with mexican-mask-excited pooch, but Cinco de Mayo Feliz to my friends here.) |
Thanks, Ocm?. I hope you don't mind if I belt down a couple Negra Modelo in your honor at lunch tomorrow.
Btw, am I to understand that Cinco de Mayo is a holiday celebrating Hispanic and Mexican participation in the U.S. Civil War? Doesn't matter, I can drink to that. |
I have no idea what the celebracion is about, so I'll be inclined to believe anything that sounds fairly plausible.
|
Talk about plausible, I took this pic near home earlier this evening. I love rainbows...to share one with a friend is a true Bud Light.

it's not for independence, no more specific. I'll be going to the parade in West St. Paul, in any case. Nice rainbow picture, coming from the flower shop, like they're projecting! |

In work my boss said it was to celebrate the sinking of a large ship full of mayonnaise...he likes lame jokes. |
What's the true meaning,
if you'd be so kind to tell? I'm still, unknowing. 24+7=31 |
If only I knew for sure. But I think this recent Wiki version is as accurate as any explanation I've heard...but I'm open to learn better if anybody says so.
Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "fifth of May") is a holiday held on May 5. It is celebrated nationwide in the United States and regionally in Mexico, primarily in the state of Puebla. The date is observed in the United States as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride, and to commemorate the cause of freedom and democracy during the first years of the American Civil War. In the state of Puebla, the date is observed to commemorate the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín. Contrary to widespread popular belief, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico's Independence Day, the most important national patriotic holiday in Mexico, which occurs on September 16th. |
Learning something new
almost any given day is like brain candy. Thankyou, BadNick. 2-(4+7)=-(3x3) |
I suppose I should make an appearance, before I get lost and forgotton. [* -]
http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kx...5q5oo1_500.jpg Umi-bōzu are giant black bulbous beings that live in the sea. Sometimes they have glowing eyes & a beak, and other times they have no facial features at all. To survive an umi-bōzu encounter at sea, one should remain quiet and look in the opposite direction. Speaking or looking at the creature may send it into a rage — and that usually ends in tragedy. |
Being forgotten,
meaning unremembered, beats not being here. ((2x4)+7)/3=5 |
How much do I suck, I wonder?
It's also kind of sharply-felt how much that descriptor of the umi bozu resembles what I've made myself out to be. Coincidental - yes. It also leaves me feeling stone cold as to why, for no good reason, everyone, including myself, have gone ahead and pushed all-in into pushing my contributions into the hidden well. -- (to note: I also woke up this morning in the middle of a virtual editation of a bad dream in which The_Jazz had finally announced the character known as Jeteee would be no more, without even informing me intimately as to why. I've just fulfilled the first half by recognising its existence. Say farewell.) Are thee, thou? (faring thee well?) |
I was looking for stuff about afterlife and found this.

While looking for stuff
I couldn't find it, searching; I just have to wait. Jetee, seriously? Your contributions are invaluable, & as far as I know The_Jazz has no reason to damn you. |

cool cave dive!
It reminds me of Journey to the Center of the Earth (the original 1959 version) which is one of my favorite movies. |
What will we do, Nick?
At six sixty nine ahead, the monster's well-fed. I'm a little disappointed in our comrades, both former & future. |
I can't hold it against them. People drift and lose interest unless they make it a "mission". Not that I've made it my mission. I feel like I'm just dabbling. But I'm happy liking this thread more than the other one and you're here.
I suddenly became curious about what "dabbling" means so I looked it up and found mostly this: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...d-dabbling.jpg |
Dead Ducks don't fly aways when you scare them..
Howdy dudes and dudettes. Wasn't the wedding nice... A quick post before I head out yet again. Only 8 months to go, for this contract... . |
hi Zooks. I love the new princess. I wish we could give back all that tea we dumped in Boston and pretend that little thing never happened.
Hey, if you can post a pic showing where you are. |
|
I want to visit AU sometime soon, maybe explore for a month or so.
|
The flight distance from New York, New York to Perth, Australia, is:
11,620 miles / 18,700 km New York, NY (NYC) to Perth (PER) Flight Duration 25 hours 35 mins Via Dubai, Dubai (DXB) according to: Cheap Airfares and Flights to Perth, Australia, from New York - Wego.com Economy fare 2 ways, on Qantas is 2,830 US$'s or First class, is a mere 24,600 US$ . |
Money is no object since I would plan this around a business trip that would essentially be subsidized by my fellow tax payers. My business buddy John Brown has some good business developments going on down there.
|
Money's no object?
Fellow taxpayers confused? Can I come along? ((2-4)+7)+4)=9 |
I would love you to come along...assuming I'm going in the first place, which is still somewhat of a longshot. I think we'd have a great time. But the "authorities" to whom I report seem to be so narrow-minded that I doubt we could convince them of the benefits of this idea...even though with even just a few minutes of my background story you'd be more of an expert in potential AU business than any of them...in case you were not already an expert on that.
I'm slacking off on my drive to travel for work vs for just personal pleasure. Personally I'd love to travel to every nook and cranny of our world. But for work, most of the time I'd rather send somebody else even though I'm the best at it :) ...I'm not invested deeply enough to leave the family for the sake of work, it's not my business or life, I just work here. |
Ripped out by the roots,
I'm not sure I'm still alive, but I'm still typing. |
Probably by the time I'm really good at typing, it will be an obsolete talent. I wonder what "more advanced" ways we will have to put our words into posts in the future?
|
When we're really good,
all our worries disappear, or so I've been told. ((2x4)+7)/5=3 |
Sometimes I worry that I don't have anything valuable to say, but I know eventually another idea will pop into my head. I have confidence and patience.
|
Such confidence and patience
never goes unrewarded, does it? I'd say we are lucky men. |
Aww you guys :hearts: You are lucky men.
|
With liberal tendencies,
you must know what your appearance means. I feel even luckier. Are you gonna stick around, a bit? Please? |
so lonely...
|
I thought carrots tend to bunches, no?
|
if they do, nobody told me about it
