I'm not intending to annoy you with my pseudo-haiku, MOAB, but your post just inspired my hunger:

I enjoy Christmas carols on the radio when I choose to tune in to the all-carols-all-December channel, but I dislike hearing them while shopping.

BadNick 12-16-2008 07:13 PM

I'm on the same page with you on that, gg. Besides the radio which I do for variety, I also have a few Christmas music records and CD's that I play at home. It sets me in the mood. As I was waiting for my dinner tonight to cook I listened to Bing Crosby's White Christmas album.

MexicanOnABike 12-17-2008 06:42 PM

i work in a mall.... xmas music can suck my ballz. fuck i hate it!! the only ones I like are the slow jazz remakes that are calm.

carrot glace 12-17-2008 09:30 PM

i used to work in a mall, after a while you just choose one song you hate and everything else fades out until that one song comes up...

I jumped in the truck and turned on the radio.

Our local NPR station announced where the next few songs had been recorded.

Our Lady of Guadalupe church, in La Crosse Wi.

The radio announcer said something about it being an organ built
by Noack, in Massachusettes. (I don't know if this is a person or a company)

The pipe organ has over two thousand pipes.

To hear that sound in person would be amazingly glorious.

I am going to try to google more info.

bye for now.

BadNick 12-18-2008 08:59 AM

Henceforth, I shall advise Santa of our goodness.

MexicanOnABike 12-19-2008 07:44 AM

tell him I want what I asked for last week... he owes me.

BadNick 12-19-2008 08:38 AM

Message to Santa noted and sent. He said none of us should worry, we'll all get what we deserve.

MexicanOnABike 12-19-2008 11:28 AM

sweet! then i should get my bigscreen TV for xmas. thanks dude!

BadNick 12-19-2008 12:58 PM

You are most welcomed. Only question remains: do you prefer 46" or 52"?

MexicanOnABike 12-19-2008 03:22 PM

well with the $ i have, 40-46 is my range. but if it was my choice, 46 or higher is what i would get. 60 would be nice...

BadNick 12-19-2008 07:16 PM

Since we view it from a reasonable distance and didn't want to overwhelm the room, I just got a 40" for our bedroom...wow, I am impressed with it. We have Comcast cable and when I watch an HD channel with a widescreen signal, it blows me away...it almost jumps out of the screen at you though not in an annoying way. I got the Sony W series Bravia but there are other good ones for quite a bit less pesos, or more pesos if you need every high end feature going.

carrot glace 12-20-2008 01:42 AM

mine needs repairs T-T

MexicanOnABike 12-20-2008 04:42 AM

i thought about all the name brands and most that I see are value, budget, or low end quality TVs in most stores. the ones that are in the higher class jump up 500$. like a good sony, sharp, samsung, etc... 40" but not the highend will range at 999$ give or take a few $. the same tv but in the "special" "limited" or w/e you want to call it - class usually start at 1499. so i'm really not sure.

My mother's dog has chewed the remote at least ten times.
Most of the plastic the dog pooped out a long time ago.

It is held together with various kinds of tape and cardboard.

Some of the extraneous buttons are missing,
but the most important mute button still works...phew.

I should try to get a photo of the
"Indestructo Remote."

Esoteric 12-20-2008 08:58 AM

I'm going to buy Planet Earth on Blu-ray today after work. My first Blu-ray purchase was The Dark Knight and it was incredible. Gonna spark a nice bowl, relax and watch some Planet Earth tonight.

Should be fun. :D
