In the fifth grade we were required to build a bridge out of toothpicks. For a solid week, that was our project. It was not fun. What we built was trash and it was never finished.

i had the same project in 8th grade, only it was actually kinda fun. once my bridge was complete, i literally dunked it in glue for some extra strength :-D
