TV sucks....I hate TV...mostly.
However, the picture on my new flat panel widescreen HD TV is almost breathtaking...I mean if I was taking breaths it would be. Quote:

In the year 2525
Zager and Evans Reached #1 in July of 1969 In the year 2525 If man is still alive If woman can survive they may find In the year 3535 Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lies Everything you think do and say Is in the pill you took today In the year 4545 You ain't gonna need your teeth won't need your eyes You won't find a thing to chew Nobody's gonna look at you In the year 5555 Your arms hangin' limp at your sides Your legs got nothin' to do Some machine's doing that for you In the year 6565 You won't need no husband, won't need no wife You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too From the bottom of a long glass tube In the year 7510 If God's a comin' He oughta make it by then Maybe He'll look around Himself and say Guess it's time for the judgement day In the year 8510 God is gonna shake His mighty head He'll either say I'm pleased where man has been Or tear it down and start again woh oh In the year 9595 I'm kinda wonderin' if man is gonna be alive He's takin everything this old earth can give And he ain't put back nothin woh oh Now it's been ten thousand years Man has cried a billion tears For what he never knew Now man's reign is through But through eternal night The twinkling of starlight So very far away Maybe it's only yesterday In the year 2525 If man is still alive If woman can survive, they may find...... |

"Someone told me
It's all happening at the zoo. I do believe it, I do believe it's true. It's a light and tumble journey From the East Side to the park; Just a fine and fancy ramble To the zoo. But you can take the crosstown bus If it's raining or it's cold, And the animals will love it If you do. Somethin' tells me It's all happening at the zoo. The monkeys stand for honesty, Giraffes are insincere, And the elephants are kindly but They're dumb. Orangutans are skeptical Of changes in their cages, And the zookeeper is very fond of rum. Zebras are reactionaries, Antelopes are missionaries, Pigeons plot in secrecy, And hamsters turn on frequently. What a gas! You gotta come and see At the zoo." |

The Ballad of Lucy Jordan
Marianne Faithfull The morning sun touched lightly on the eyes of Lucy Jordan In a white suburban bedroom in a white suburban town And she lay there neath the covers dreaming of a thousand lovers til the world turned to orange and the room went spinning round At the age of 37 she realized she'd never ride through Paris in a sports car with the warm wind in her hair So she let the phone keep ringing as she sat there softly singing pretty nursery rhymes she'd memorized in her Daddy's easy chair Her husband he's off to work and the kids are off to school and there were oh so many ways for her to spend her days She could clean the house for hours or rearrange the flowers or run naked through the shady street screaming all the way At the age of 37 she realized she'd never ride through Paris in a sports car with the warm wind in her hair So she let the phone keep ringing as she sat there softly singing pretty nursery rhymes she'd memorized in her Daddy's easy chair The evening sun touched gently on the eyes of Lucy Jordan on the rooftop where she climbed when all the laughter grew too loud And she bowed and curtsied to the man who reached and offered her his hand and he led her down to the long white car that waited past the crowd At the age of 37 she knew she'd found forever as she rode along through Paris with the warm wind in her hair |
