The drivers here tend to be English... they have to pass an exam where they memorise pretty much every street in London (called "The Knowledge"). Studying takes three years on average. As part of their exam, they are given a start point and destination. They have to describe a route from memory, never deviating more than an inch (on the map) from the straight line between the two points.

The man at the local cigar shop tells me his favorite one in stock is less than one-seventh the price of his most expensive. Apparently unable to describe the relative differences, he went so far as to say that the expense of the latter was related to its owners having their "capital tied up for twenty years." SO...? I'm gonna go get one and find out if it's worth it, or if I was right about the problem thing.
