This one time, at band camp...

Ourcrazymodern? 01-15-2007 04:01 PM

The musicians blew their horns...
What happened to Silent Jay?

Fly 01-15-2007 04:05 PM

horns?

blowing?

your guess is as good as mine.

sillygirl 01-15-2007 04:08 PM

You'll have to talk to him OCM

Fly, my roommate says "This one time, at band camp, my dog tried to drown himself in his waterdish"

Doesn't make sense but it made me laugh

Ourcrazymodern? 01-15-2007 04:11 PM

A little concerned
I feel a little concerned
(oh no, what was this?)

...I think I have haiku on the brain: Does anybody know of a cure?

I have a boss whose dog ate a whole bottle of Advil. There was much joking about the poor thing attempting suicide to get away from him. :)

sillygirl 01-15-2007 04:12 PM

rum and coke? :)

Ourcrazymodern? 01-15-2007 04:15 PM

Rum's a very nice warm drunk, as I recall...

sillygirl 01-15-2007 04:20 PM

my ex husband ate a bottle of midol and one of I believe Aleve.... said he wanted to die. Odd thing was, there were bottles of narcotics right next to them...

From what I understand, people still ask how his cramps are doing...

And yes, rum is a very nice, warm, toasty drink.

Ourcrazymodern? 01-15-2007 04:28 PM

Midol!

sillygirl 01-15-2007 04:33 PM

Pretty amazing, huh?

Ourcrazymodern? 01-15-2007 04:34 PM

Yeah, no wonder he's the ex.

sillygirl 01-15-2007 04:42 PM

 There are lots of reasons

Ourcrazymodern? 01-15-2007 04:47 PM

I figured that, beings as a botched "suicide attempt" using Midol would be embarrassing to mention even in a no-fault divorce state such as the one I live in.

sillygirl 01-15-2007 04:51 PM

He actually did that on the night that I told him I wanted a divorce. Imagine what a cold hearted bitch people thought of me as when I told him (after it was made sure that he was totally fine, just stupid) that it didn't change my mind and if anything, made it more solid. Thing I miss the most are my dogs. HAH.

Ourcrazymodern? 01-15-2007 05:56 PM

Glad to hear it, sir.
It's just you posts all disappeared
and I got worried.

silent_jay 01-15-2007 06:44 PM

I just wanted my posts gone for the last little bit.

Thanks for worrying about me OCM, I appreciate it, but I'll be fine sooner or later.....

Ourcrazymodern? 01-15-2007 10:07 PM

Hopefully sooner.
"There's a killer on the road, his brain is squirming like a toad..."
That alone is scarier than anything Stephen King ever wrote.
Poets!

silent_jay 01-16-2007 09:44 AM

I love that song....Last song Jim ever recorded with the band.....fuck LA Woman was a fantastic album, so raw and gritty.

He did most of his singing for that album while he was sitting on the toilet in the basement of The Doors offices across the road from Elektra studios. The bathroom had the best acoustics.

I've always been a fan of these two quotes as well:

Quote:

“I wouldn't mind dying in a plane crash. It'd be a good way to go. I don't want to die in my sleep, or of old age, or OD...I want to feel what it's like. I want to taste it, hear it, smell it. Death is only going to happen to you once; I don't want to miss it.”
Quote:

“People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that's bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they're afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they're wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.”

he was definitely not the first animal jettisoned...

Fly 01-16-2007 01:39 PM

ride the snake.............

Ourcrazymodern? 01-16-2007 04:59 PM

Ride the snake to where?

silent_jay 01-16-2007 05:49 PM

to the lake......

Ourcrazymodern? 01-16-2007 06:57 PM

Snakes swim very nicely, mostly.

And as long as it was a big enough snake, and not poisonous, it might be very stimulating.

sillygirl 01-17-2007 01:33 PM

wow, OCM's kinky

uncle phil 01-17-2007 03:41 PM

silent_jay 01-17-2007 06:09 PM

Where'd you find weed so soon in Thompson anyway?

Ourcrazymodern? 01-17-2007 06:35 PM

I wish I was in Thompson RIGHT NOW!

I guess I'll just go to the attic.

I have fucking talent, that's how haha

Edit: I found weed here my first day, that's how good I am, and no I didn't bring it with me, airport security probably wouldn't have liked that haha

sillygirl 01-17-2007 07:44 PM

Wow.. I thought you were careful about weed in a new place... and the whole not smoking it unless you were around Lee thing.

Guess you changed your mind huh :P

silent_jay 01-17-2007 08:19 PM

Never said I don't smoke unless I'm around Lee, I was just usually around him when I was in Ontario, so we generally smoked together. I am careful about it, I haven't had to leave the place I'm staying to get it yet.

You can be careful and still find it quickly, you just have to know where to look....

sillygirl 01-17-2007 08:33 PM

Yeah I somehow figured that it was what'shername's son. I bet I'm right too:p

And yeah, you said something about only smoking when you're in Ontario :p Not like it matters though, so I'll let you win this one. *hides*

silent_jay 01-17-2007 08:45 PM

Haha, that doesn't sound like me, saying I'd only smoke in Ontario, I must have been high when I said that.

Oh you'll let me win? Why thank you haha

sillygirl 01-17-2007 09:16 PM

hah. Maybe it was just a man saying things. Men do that, you know.

So.......... I'm tired. but I have a clean house. Mostly.
