I don't have a digital camera, so no pics of food. They were just box brownies (I was feeling lazy) but I do want to try out a couple of brownie recipes I've come across lately, especially one that includes brown sugar in place of white.

The chicken was really, really good. Plus, we determined it cost about $8 to make both servings. Not bad.
Now, to curb late night hunger, we are eating apples. New Year's resolution to loose weight means no more late night Del Taco runs.

i just finished 3-peppercorn fettucini with a goat cheese cream sauce (the secret is cooking garlic in white wine and using only a little cream) with some haddock fried in cornmeal and chopped toasted pecans.
it was very nice. the seafood in this area is ridiculously good.

I'm gnawing on some pomegranate. I figure you burn as many calories trying to get the good stuff off the seeds and them spitting them out as there are in the actual pom whatever-you-call-them.
And, my grits rock.

Maybe I should have emphasized posting pics of what your eating. More pics guys, pictures of food are always a bonus along with the description. I was hoping this would turn into something like the "post yourself right effing now" thread.
Tonight was another night of our trying to eat healthier for our new years resolution. I made wheat penne pasta topped with red bell peppers, zucchini, cherry tomatoes and chicken breast all cooked in a cast iron skillet in the oven. Made a sauce from chicken broth, mushrooms, pinenuts, jalepeno, and basil with green onions.

A cup of cereal: Nature's Path HempPlus granola with unsweetened soymilk, dried currants, and shredded coconut. It's that time of the day again. Yummy.

We just got done eating at Wood Grill Buffet. Its new in my home town...pretty tasty but a lot of Southern style food. Not the best for the diet, but there is a huge salad bar and fresh fruit section.
