Has this http://galactica.emedian.net/tra.html season 3 trailer been posted before? It's really just a compilation of clips from previous episodes with a voiceover. Spoilerific if you haven't seen the end of 2.5

The soundtrack made me a little sick, but the preview made me went myself. All-in-all a great night. Spoiler: So we have a full blown insurgency on New Caprica, Starbuck has a kid (with the Cylons?, from that one time?), Apollo is still kinda fat....and Olmos is still sporting the power-stache.

I agree. I hate the spoiler tag for a thread like this. You expect new info. That is why (west coast) I never check it on fridays.

I've never looked foward to watching a tv show/movie more than season three of Battlestar Galactica. Seeing the newest trailer this evening during Ressurection Ship Pt.2 (one of my favorite episodes) only reminded me how far away October is...

I feel the same way. I introduced my 60ish y/o parents to the show recently by buying them the first season. I thought that they might like it, if they didn't they would just give the dvd's away. My dad called me to let me know that they were "Blown away" (his words) by the show and that they had just finished the Season 2.0 dvd's. Now they keep calling me...asking "When is the next season gonna start?" LOL

So I am looking at the publicity photos for Season 3 (I know I am a freak) and I was like:
"Wow - who is the new girl?" Then I looked at it for a while. WTF? Not that she doesn't look good, but what is different. I mean I am a guy who can no longer pick out Ashley Simpson because of some work. Was there work done or am I just crazy? http://galacticastation.com/Gallery/...omo%20(18).htm http://galacticastation.com/Gallery/...omo%20(18).jpg

It's so big, all I can see are her pores. When I get home I'll check it out. I really hope she didn't have any work done, though. She looked great the way she was, and getting work done really does take away from an artists performance and suggests that appearance is what you should be paying attention to. Judging by the trailer, she looks the same. I dunno.
Ah, now I can see it. The whole picture, espically Jamie and Katees faces have been digitally altered. They are both good looking kids, but photoshop has played a role in this picture. Last edited by Willravel; 08-31-2006 at 05:26 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Yeah - it is legitimate. I watched it and think it will be heavy on the political commentary - which is fine with me. I'd love a space battle to get the ol' juices flowin' but I'll take whatever scraps they throw me to be honest.

Shinler's list with robots. And fat Apollo.
Spoiler: GET YOUR FAT ASS OUT OF HERE!! I have to say, this show is simply incapable of dissapointing me. From the first moment of Occupation to the last split second of Precipice, I was enthrealled and unable to look away. I'm going to go DL the episode off iTunes. Just to review, the cylons: - Number Three: D'Anna Biers - Number Five: Aaron Doral - Number Six - Number Eight: Sharon "Boomer" Valerii - Number Unconfirmed: Leoben Conoy - Numer Unconfirmed: Doctor Simon - Number Unconfirmed: Brother Cavil "SAM!!!" There are 5 cylon human models remaining unseen, Spoiler: possibly including Dr. Baltar, per the preview of the rest of the season following tonight's episode. It would make perfect sense. They both downloaded at the same time and imprinted on each other. Last edited by Willravel; 10-06-2006 at 07:56 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

I was partial to: "See you soon"
How is a show this good? I mean I am RIGHT back in it again and can't wait until next week to see what happens next. I have to admit that I still have "Can a brotha get a space battle" ringing through my head, but that being said - the show rocks. So either Rosalyn is a Cylon or I figure Apollo rev.1 jumped in front of her and then she laid beneath his corpse until the cylons left. I kept thinking they were going to start singing and off key version of America the Beautiful while being gunned down. It would have been AWESOME if Starbuck killed Leoben again when the kid woke up.

I doubt that the kid is really hers. Why couldn't the robots make little robot children too as agents? It seems very coincidental that the kid hit its head at just the right time/way + also wakes up in just the right way? Also, psilons aren't supposed to be able to have children without the love element between the mother/father? (ie, Boomer and whatshisname)
So, they got a fake robot kid to make her love the psilon guy. |

The cylons from Battlestar Galactica are named after the Cylon of Athens, a nobleman in ancient Greece (632 BC) who tried to overthrow his father-in-law/ruler, Theagenes, who was a tyrant. Cylon and his coup were unsuccesful, and he and his brother had to flee. It is entirely possible that that little stinker is a cylon, and that this is just another elaborate system of control. I think the love aspect of the mating was in order to bring the cylons closer to God. It seems an underlying need for the cylons to find theological relevance in their quest to be more than their parents. Boomer and Carl "Helo" Agathon were and are in love, which means their child was concieved in love, which makes their daughter a child of God (or some such neoreligous cylon nonesense). I forgot to ask...who here posts on the Scifi.com battlestar boards? I just joined (14 seconds ago), and I'm curious. Same screen name as tfp or different? I'll be Willravel as always. Kacey's gotta be a Cylon agent. Think about it, she just happens to wake up after Thrace prays to the gods that she would pull through and admits to making a mistake about the kid.

Just got done watching the new episodes for a second time. Adama's tactic of reintroducing the other "traitor" Sharon back to New Caprica to infiltrate the Cylon base is brilliant, if she makes it past the centurions she could easily help turn the tide of the resistance from the inside. I'm surprised the cylons revive any of the sharon models after they fall for a human, its obvious they can't seperate their emotions.

Same goes for Number 6, but I think they keep those models because they're "war hero" to the Cylons.
