Why accept blame for this myself? I blame kutulu for telling me it is out there (thanks man). I blame the network for having such huge pauses in between seasons. I blame torrent reactor for having a well seeded HD copy that I could pull down in around 20 minutes. . .
I take full responsibility for my actions. It was great and I will watch it again when it is broadcast. If you haven't watched it, know this: super good, lots of backstory and best of all, lots of space battles!

well....it was awesome
I'll wait until it airs on regular TV before bothering to bring up the obvious question for discussion

LMAO, that's not the question I was thinking of...and she's only part Asian, not even half According to wikipedia, "her mother is Portuguese and her father Chinese-Norwegian-English," though she was born in Hong Kong.
But yes, she is pretty hot, and the Australian accent certainly didn't hurt

Ah, then you must be referring to:
Spoiler: "Kara Thrace will lead the human race to it's end. She is the herald of the apocalypse; the harbinger of death. They must not follow her." Honestly? I'm inclined to agree. Don't ask me why, call it a hunch. EDIT: DON'T READ THIS SPOILER IF YOU'VE NOT SEEN IT YET. YOU'LL SPOIL EVERYTHING. |

Seconded. Really hot. I for one was hoping for Spoiler: a lesbian scene between her and Cain as a replacement to the hole left in Cain's heart.
That would have been the only thing that could have made it better.

One thing I will say is that the timing of Razor sucks. It's really difficult to go from nothing for several months to an hour and a half movie and back to nothing for who knows how long with the writer's strike. I now wish I hadn't watched it at all and instead just downloaded it and waited till the day before the season premier.
I actually did that with the last two eps of the previous season. After Kara got lost my wife and I decided that things were nicely wrapped up for now and it would be easier to leave things there instead of watching the finale and having some huge cliffhanger. It worked for a long time until I accidentally found out what happened in the finale, then we needed to watch it and had teh stupid cliffhanger. Regarding the strike, I found this article. I've quoted two relevant parts: http://tv.ign.com/articles/833/833633p2.html How the strike relates to the webisodes that BSG did: Quote:

I just received a tip that due to the writer's strike, NBC might move BSG to the main channel...
Yes, you've already seen the episodes but just think how cool it would be if it got an even larger audience? Quote:

Yikes! When does season 4.1 get here? Isn't it April some time? How can they torture us like this?
Will Kara be accepted back into the Papa Adama fold? What will happen with a dying President Laura Roslin? What about a non-military Lee Adama? WHEN WILL THEY TELL US?!!!

OK, calm down guy, you don't even get to see the season premier until you get back from Pittsburgh. Which, by the way, may be the lamest reason ever for not getting to see this episode when it airs...

Frack, I still need to watch Razor.
Yes, I still haven't watched it, even though I've had it on DVD since December. I guess I've been meaning to savour it and only watch it when the new season was on the horizon. Either that, or I'm just out of my fracking mind.... where's the ambrosia?

Sci-Fi is running a marathon it seems this week. I got 9 episodes yesterday on the ol' DVR and the light is on it this morning recording something so I imagine that is more. I did watch the mini-series yesterday by chance before I knew it was on. Very cool to go back and see what they did and the differences.

I finally watched Razor last weekend. I didn't know the new season started this week until today.
If you need a refresher course, here is about 40 hours (30? I don't know) compressed down to 8 minutes. They actually do a pretty good job of covering the story. http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/index.php?clip=recap (It was working this morning, it isn't working for me right now) |

The latest, and most exciting, promo for the upcoming season.
I really...really...really want it to start ASAP.

One thing I am not clear on. Remember the whole "Eye of Jupiter" thing where Dianna Beirs (Zena whatever her name is) saw the final five and said she was so sorry to one of them?
Ok - someone built that place who I assumed was the 13th tribe headed to Earth - humans correct? How then did they know who the final five were? If they were not humans they why wouldn't Cylons tell their buddies where Earth was? And even so, how long ago did they build that place? I mean it seems like in the last 42ish years the Cylons went from chrome toasters to 12 human form models. But the whole temple / eye of jupiter thing was constructed far before that. This does not make sense to me as something resolveable within the current story set. Anyone want to jump on this?

so I only got to page 4 or so, I just wanted to say i'm ramping myself up on this BSG stuff, I've never even seen a single episode before last night so I decided to torrent the entire season 1 and go from the start.
The doctor reminds me of "Julian Bashir" from DS9 (is it the same guy?) Starbuck is hawt. very hawt. I wubs her. and I just watched Adama and the season 1 "cliffhanger" still waiting on the other seasons to finish |

Similar, but not the same. The only other thing I know James Callis has done is one of the Bridget Jones movies. But I hope he does a lot more after BSG. I really like him.
Shauk: Be sure to watch it in order! BSG is one of those kinds of shows where you don't want to skip a single episode. Enjoy
