So who's everybody got in the Shogun/Machida rematch?
Personally I'm picking Machida. I've got a funny feeling Shogun's going to be more aggressive and less cautious this time which is going to play to Machida's strengths.

Machida is my favorite fighter at LHW so I have to go with him. I like Shogun too but Machida's the man. I think the Shogun we saw fight Machida last time is the best Shogun he could have been so I don't see how he can improve on that. Machida's never had to adjust his game plan though until now, so we'll see if he is actually really capable of that.

Machida is the man, but Shogun should've got the decision last time. I think Shogun will come out with something to prove this time and I hope he gets the win, just to put things right.

Paul Daley deserved to get cut. What he did was ridiculous.
Great night of fights though. Spoiler: Machida and Lawlor losses were sad. I like Shogun a lot too though so I'm happy for him. I just know Machida will be back!

I'm glad that an Ed Soares fighter got worked so fiercely. Nothing against Machida as a person, but as a fighter he is so annoying. Yes he has a very effective style, but its lame as shit and not fun to watch.

I love the way machida fights. To each their own I guess. But yeah, I absolutely can't stand Ed Soares.

Daley totally deserved to be cut. Of course Dana kinda had no choice but to cut him after Dana's comments regarding the Strikeforce post-fight brawl (basically "that shit doesn't happen in the UFC").
Also Shogun's gotta be the all-time MMA comeback story after how far he'd fallen when he lost to Forrest then looked like crap against Coleman.

What a crazy title fight. Man that belt doesn't stay with the same person for too long in this sport does it.
And Kimbo looked like an amateur in his fight. He has virtually no technical abilities, looks like his strategy consists solely of throwing wild punches.

So Koscheck has already started.
Koscheck wants Olympic-style testing, GSP says let's do it - Cagewriter - UFC - Yahoo! Sports I like that he got his info from BJ Penn. Clearly a guy that's unbiased when it comes to GSP. Dana's response. Dana White Tells Josh Koscheck to "Shut up" About Olympic-style Blood Tests - Bloody Elbow

Yeah the steroid allegations from Koscheck are lame, but for some reason I really like him. I hope he wins because Dana says he doesn't like Koscheck but I know its probably going to be another one for GSP.

I hope to see GSP try to finish this and not be content with a decision like it seems he has been for the past few fights.

The thing about the Hardy fight was that GSP seemed determined to get the sub rather than Ground and Pounding him into oblivion like he did to Fitch/BJ/Alves.

WEC 49 was the best mma event I have seen so far this year. It was awesome.

GSP did decimate Hardy. Hardy didn't win one second of one round. Sort of like the first time Kos challenged GSP for the belt. Kos has improved a bit, of course, but he was a very solid fighter when GSP wiped the floor with him. I love how people berate GSP for not "finishing" an opponent. He's finished TONS of opponents over the years. Everyone was hyping Kos's wrestling before the first GSP fight, but look what happened. Anything can happen in MMA, and Kos is a great fighter, but don't try to insinuate that GSP has to put every single person away to be a dominant fighter.

Yes, GSP has finished a lot of opponents in the past but he's been fine with settling for decisions lately, against the likes of Alves, Fitch and Hardy. He should have finished every single one of those fights. Alves and Hardy have absolutely terrible ground games and GSP's is "amazing". Fitch is one of my favorite fighters and it pisses me off that people absolutely love GSP but hate Fitch for their respective fighting styles. They are exactly the damn same. Fitch is like GSP junior with an actual personality. And Koshcheck is the last person to have won a round against GSP. I'm not saying that he's going to win when they fight but still.

Great night of fights! I really hope it airs on Spike the next time StrikeForce has a card so I can record it and watch it again.
Rosenthal did a great job, I kinda hate Brock but there's no way that fight should have been called. Brock was trying his best to defend himself the whole time. Come to think of it, I can't think of a really bad call Rosenthal's made. I'm impressed more and more every time I see him. Who would have thought Brock would get the Sub of the Night award though?!?

Wow. Spoiler: I was not expecting Sonnen to do that to Silva. Also, Jon Fitch, yeah!

Well, it was nice to see Brock go down. And in such dramatic fashion. Cain Velasquez didn't even seem to bust a sweat! I have high hopes for him...he seems to be making a habit of beating up on the big guys.
Now Brock knows he's human.
