Actually, that's what I thought. But it turns out to be much more self-serving that that. Both James Hetfield and Mick Jagger are alcoholics who no longer drink. I'd heard that about Clarence Gatemouth Brown. He played in New Orleans and forced the bar where he played to turn all the TVs off there, too.

GoT or Paradise Lost, we need a new question from one of you two.

In fact, "My My, Hey Hey" has the first line, but "Hey Hey, My My" only has the second line, which is present in both songs. Unless I got them backward. However, since it's been a day and a half with no response, I feel like I'll go ahead and post the next question myself, if that's okay with everyone.
It was widely known that John Lennon was responsible for the naming of the Beatles. Because of its peculiar nature, people frequently asked Lennon where the name originated. He got tired of trying to answer the question honestly, so he made up a story. What was it? |

QuasiMojo, read the lyrics to each. It'll probably jump out at you.
If not, I'll post the answer later today.

I was wondering if it was lyrics yesterday, but didn't want to cheat and look for them on the internet. Couldn't pin down any similarities. Now that you confirmed it, tried singing them in my head again and think the answer is that they both mention Gideon's Bible. If I'm right, someone go ahead and ask the next one.

Damn Booray, you must have an excellent memory for lyrics. Rocky Racoon is fairly easy to remember, but getting as far as the mention of Gideon's Bible in Locomotive Breath is impressive.

for some reason, I recalled the Gideon's Bible part in Locomotive Breath FIRST. "something something Gideon's Bible, open at page one".
trying to come up with a question, but having trouble. anyone who wants to ask one, go ahead (unless I come in and make another post with a question )

Since it's christmas time, I'll ask a related question.
Thurl Ravenscroft, who is best know for being the voice of Tony the Tiger ("Theyyyyy're Grrrreat!!") sings what Christmas song made famous in a made-for-TV movie?

Ok folks, I've been standing back for quite some time- both because I wanted to see some new blood take over (I must say I'm quite pleased) and... because my computer is a problem child- needs a serious overhaul. I loved GTR- my favorite song was "The Hunter" I have it on vinyl and would love to get the CD. I also loved Asia, and since you brought them up here is my question:
Geoffrey Downes played in Yes with Hackett and Howe, what band did he come from and what were they best known for. I am going to pm the answer to my cohort God of Thunder just in case my computer bugs out. And yes... there was a hint in there!

Sorry for putting that stupid song in your mind, Bryn. I can't believe Geoffrey Downes even had anything to do with that group.

I'm a big Asia fan, but I just don't know the answer to this one.
maybe if I listened to the radio more, but I just watch MTV, lately. EDIT: this was meant to be ironic.

Geoff Downes was a member of the Buggles, who had the first video on MTV. Now I know all of you read that Perripken PM'ed me the answer, but you also have to believe that I knew that before hand. For fairness sake, I'll toss the next question out.

Well, since nobody's asking anything, I might as well join the fray with two questions at once.
Name three bands that include Mike Patton of Faith No More fame. What was the name of the Nine Inch Nails song on the Tomb Raider soundtrack, and who directed the video?

Per the rules, lets keep it to one question at a time. It makes it easier for everyone.
First one to answer either question wins. The other question will be a bonus. As for myself, I have no idea.
