Nope.
Here's a few hints: A) He's not Canadian B) He's mentioned numerous times in the song before his one verse (the final one) C) He got his big break when the future boss of Cold Chillin' records caught him trying to steal his car. D) He's Marley Marl's cousin.

the Glimmer Twins are Mick Jagger and Keith Richard, as opposed to the Toxic Twins Joe Perry and Steven Tyler. or do I have that backwards? no, I think I got it right.

ok, I got two. get either one right and it's your turn. get them both right and win the envy of all who love music trivia. oh and it'll be your turn too.
one for the Brit's: 41 years ago today (aug 9, 1863) this popular BBC rock & roll television show debuted. name it. one for the stoners: 9 years ago today, a legend died of a heart attack at the age of 53. who was it?

Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar" was an album first, a broadway show second.
What classic rock singer did Webber recruit to sing the part of Jesus, and what band was that singer the frontman for?

Ian Gillam from Deep Purple.
I'm sure this is right since I wore that record out when I was a kid. I still go see it whenever I get the chance. I probably know every word of it by heart. What Deep Purple album featured guitarist Tommy Bolin?

since it has been 4 days I'll try to start this thread again.
Before the KINKS what famous band did drummer Bob Henrit play in?

Nope not the Roulettes....as far as I know....... this band is more famous than them by a long shot. Here's a couple hints...
KINKS bassist Jim Rodford also played for this band, his (Jim Rodford's) cousin was the leader it evolved from the band "the Zombies" The band was named after the leader Can't think of any better clues.... so just "HOLD YOUR HEAD UP'

Oh, I think that clue was too easy Pan!
It has to be Argent- The "hold your head up" did it for me! It was Ron Argent, right?

That would be the Zombies, Roachboy! And I was wrong... it's Rod Argent, not Ron.
That is indeed Rod tickling the ivories on "Time of the season" by the Zombies. Ok, since I like to stay with current themes if I can, Rod Argent had a solo album in 1978. Who played the drums on that album?

Man..... I can't believe I got a stumper on that one.
It was none other than Mr. Phil Collins, drummer extrodonaire! New simple question: Who was the frontman for the band Free, went on to be the singer for Bad Company!! Can you tell I want someone else to take this over?

Finally, one I can jump back in with.
That would be Mr. Paul Rogers. Now children, take a trip back with me to a time called the Eighties. It was a magical time with big hair and bad music, called "Power Ballads" (Can you tell that my boss is gone an I have way too much free time on my hands? ) What guitarist was brought in to help out Whitesnake with their venture into the pop world with power ballads and pop hits on their 1987 album "Whitesnake"?
