I would have accepted Hobbstweedle or Band of Joy. I would not have accepted The Yardbirds.
in any case, lets go with sherpahigh's GnR question as the current one up. I have a clarifying question to ask about it though. Are we referring to the original lineup? If so, I'me guessing William Bailey (otherwise known as Axl Rose).

I will be out of the loop from Fri. July 2- Mon. July 12. Will be at Outer Banks vacationing, so if my Izzy answer is correct, I'll pass this to someone else. Keep up the good work, my fellow trivia buffs! I'm relying on you regulars to keep the trivia thread nice and orderly! See ya later!

I know Slash and Lenny Kravitz went to the same high school together at the same time.
And I know one of the G-N-R'ers in between bands just got his college degree in finance, read that in an interview about the new band.

Izzy was the guy I knew about. Hadn't heard of any of them going on to collage. Izzy graduated in 79 I believe and then took off to California with plans of being in a band.

I think it's Duff who got his finance degree. Velvet Revolver was on the TV Howard Stern show on E! and I think he mentioned it.

Always liked Duff for some reason he seemed the most level headed and least "out there".
Is Izzy in the new band? Sorry for threadjack just curious.

Looks like Perripken was the winner, but as his post said, he is unavailable.
So, allow me... What girl group started the careers Joan Jett and Lita Ford?

Joan Jett and Lita Ford were one-time members of the girl group "The Runaways".

Good job! Not a really hard one if you are a PJ fan but still hard enough.

I was thinking Animals too, but the mention of "disc 2" in the question is throwing me off. Animals doesn't have a 2nd disc. Does "2nd disc" mean that the Frog Brigade covered the 2nd disc of a famous album or that the 2nd disc of one of the Frog Brigade's releases contains the live set where they covered the famous album?

We need a confirmation QuasiMojo. If Rideough is correct then it's his question, if not then it's a stumper and we need a new question.
paging QuasiMojo...are you in the building??

Bono? not technically a Brit, though.

ROD THE BOD STEWART.
Guess we don't have many Rod fans here. Pink Blazer is on his first WB Greatest Hits cover.

Ok, seems we found a sore area.
Rod Stewart's Maggie May was actually a "B-Side", a DeeJay in-------- decided to play the song as a joke claiming, "with a voice like this he should go back to digging graves." Name either the famed Buzzard weilding mascot radio station (which in the 80's won Rolling Stone's Best Radio Station contest every year because of ballot stuffing) Or Name the city the station is in.

If I remember the story correctly it was KTLA in Los Angeles. But then again I could be just taking a wild ass guess.

Nope, not KTLA.
This is also the same station that first played Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell. At one time it was the best radio station around (until all the DJ's got big heads, and CC bought it). They took chances and many artists got played on this station first because noone else took the chance and because no other city ROCKS like ---------. It wasn't ballot stuffing in the 80's Rolling Stone readers knew W--- was the best station.
