well that and last week i was passing out water for a scholo run and lo ... unto my mage was given 546g ...
we never got into the instance 2 droped and my guild said "get ya arse over and help us in brd" so i tele'd to IF then as i was flying to searing gorge.. i realized... "omfgwtfbbq" which i never talk like that so they whole guild knew at once either i got hacked by a noobular 12 year old or infact something strange and wonderful happened to my toon. i once again teleported out.. to SW this time then made my way back to searing gorge. and lo the guild met me on my uber fast mount. granted i sent several tells to the 3 peps i gave water to. none was missing gold.. yet how did i get allthat gold.. screw it its a game im not gonna look too deep into it.. lets just say my mage is a bit faster in traveling now. and yeah all i needed was about 350g for my mount hehe but hey.

For a main list of realm and characters, we should start a different post. As people reply to post, the person who started the post can update the list as the original post message. That way its easier to find instead of running through a a thousand posts.

bah dont listen to them.. really the only reason i went with frost/arcane was for solo pve, and the fact that im attuned and im always asked to come to MC runs for some reason. the fact that im spec'd to handle a crowd and the fact that i know how helps heh. take felwood i go up to the deadwood furblogs camps . i see 6-8 milling around and give a quick shudder and im off flamestrike opener, blink, imp arcane explosion x2, cone of cold, ice barrier, frost nova, Imp blizzard so that its hitting them the whole time i.e. my outter edge of the circle is touching both them and me. by then my mana is kaput so i slap my mana ruby and a superior mana pot, and hit cold snap. ends all my frost cool downs, frost nova. ice barrier again, evocation then imp arcene explosion ftw. i have cleared even in west plague lands up to 12 toons this way. granted due to lag or resists ive died before but 90% of the time i win. also im half way passed honored with timbermaw. with fire i would have to say the same.. but you lack the cool ice barrier shield. id open with a flamestrike then a cone of cold, frost nova, combustion flamestrike followed by a blast wave from hell. then imp arcane exp blah blah.. it works just have to find yoru stance also note.. find a player that has a priest, become friends.. priest shield is a mages friend. or do like i do. have two account and have a wirless keyboard sitting by ya from your 2nd computer with your priest ..all hot keys. hehe its evil but doable. at first i was like. my god im usless look at the other classes takeing down stuff left and right but i use too much of my mana doing it.. then i was like wait a tic.. ive got all these aoe spells for a reason. so instead of 2-3 at a time lets take a bit of dmg and a 10 min cool down and just nuke a ton of them at once. also if your just farming for gold and such go do with with camps of lvl 40ish things or even 30ish youll be suppriesed how fast you get some gold going. i go into the court yard of SM all the time with the undead and spend two hours aoe'n them i tele to IF sell or ah stuff and end up with at least 20g for my time. also note this area has both elite and non elite undead, palys rock here too. and they have a high respawn rate. locked chests abound and herbs.. an the rare grave moss herb can be gotten here. hehe ungoro crater is another.. just use your wand to tab through the tar elementals then do what i listed above. most arent ranged casters just cast root most the time. heh pfft root i plan to stand still anyways. basically my mage tenere has gone from 2-3 a bar of mana to 8-15 a 2 bars of mana.. like i said evocation ftw. but then some say you do all that fance spell work and your down time is 10 min you still have a lose there.. i say nay.. while my 10 min cool downs are going i can still hit 1-3 toons a mana bar until the cooldowns are gone. pfft and i though a rogue was cool.

The best way to make money in WoW isn't farming, but mining. Farming does result in the occasional rare or epic item, and I suppose that sorta makes up for the lowered gold from each enemy, but some people I know have never found an epic. I've found 2 farming in Azshara, not to mention like 8 blues. Even so, if I need quick money, mining is simply the best money for the time. Go to Arathi Highlands and go clockwise around the zone along the mountainous border. Make sure to get the ogre camp in the small hill that's west of Refuge Point as well. You can make 20-40g PER HOUR mining there. Yes, it's that bad. People will pay ridiculous amounts for mining items on the AH. Just be careful not to overflow the market. I've never made less than 20g an hour doing that.
Why am I letting my "secret" out? Because I cancelled my account a week ago. Have fun miners. -Lasereth

Im a 43 Undead priest, but sorta wishing now that I had rolled something else. Probably either a Warrior or a Mage. Id like a warrior because its nice being able to just grind away on things and not have to sit down and wait for your mana to come back up. But mages... Yeah, I really wish I'd rolled a mage. I just love AOE spells... It's a sight when youre blasting through an instance because you have a good mage... Just pull 4 or 5 adds, shield the mage, and let him AOE the crap out of everything. We blasted through RFD in about 45 minutes like this with a 42 mage. And hey, you could do some crazy grinding/farming with AOE spells...
Too bad I'm moving to Germany in a month and won't be able to play. So, no time to reroll a mage. Guess I'm just gonna have to get my priest as high as I can...

But still, I think itd be nice... I suspect you could make some pretty decent cash, too--mageweave, for example, or wool, sells quite well. If youre a 60 or 40 respectively, you could probably string together a bunch of creeps and AoE em down, racking up the money. I dunno, I really like the idea of both being able to AoE and do lots of damage as a caster.

Even though I cancelled my account, I have to say that I really enjoyed playing a priest and warrior to a high level in WoW. They are the funnest classes to play in my opinion. My warrior was godly in PVP and my priest could take out an incredible amount of horde or NPCs combined with any other class. I'm proud at what Blizzard has formed out of the warrior. The warrior is one of the few classes in WoW that can inflict an instant "oh shit" feeling. Seeing a huge character in platemail running at you with an Arcanite Reaper is pretty fearsome. Too bad the honor system is totally fucked because of Battlegrounds else I'd still be playing.

Rarely do i ever have to sit to regain mana while on a raid. My mana regenerates really fast, especially when arcane concentration kicks in (which is very often). Evocation refreshes once every 10 mins which is often enough on a raid to keep me standing constantly. + mana ruby and my lily root. + i have some talents that keeps some of my mana regen going when im casting. I also have some items that increase my mana regen. And i just have a crapload of mana in general. The time between pulls is more than enough time for crystal water to cap me off.
If your mages are going oom every fight/ every other fight they're doing something really wrong and/or need to upgrade their equipment badly.

I have to disagree with that. In most raids I have/had around 8200 mana with buffs and I ran out every single battle. I also had the highest damage using the raid calculator thing, I even beat out the rogues. Some people sit on the side lines and cheer for the team and others get out onto the court and make some shots On a more serious note, it just depends on what type of mage you are, the steady damage mage (usually frost/arcane or just frost) or the super damage until mana is gone mage (usually fire/arcane or fire). A combination of the types, such as 1 super damage and 1 steady damage, or 2 and 1, or 1 and 2, is really great for UBRS and other similar dungeons. Gets you out much quicker. From what I've experienced. Also helps a ton on bosses. In UBRS, I've done nearly 400,000 damage in one run, #2 spot being a rogue coming in around 280,000. Just depends if you go Apeshit or take it easy. Your healer will HATE you but on the bright side, the only person in the group he has to heal is you

When I say raid, I mean raid bosses that take 15 minutes to fight. I don't mean UBRS or 10-man. Every mage in the game will run out of mana unless they severely hold back against all MC bosses.

MC bosses are kinda the exception imo. Everyone takes a big hit on those. Melee classes last only as long as their healer's mana in those cases, so everyone is mana dependant. But yea, for MC bosses and the like i usually whip out frostbolt. My mana bar/mana regen can keep up pretty well with that, and i can evocation for a quick refill + mana ruby when needed. When my arcane concentration kicks on i'll switch to arcane missiles for that cast since i dont have to worry about the mana hit. And even when im completely drained of mana, all i have to really do is wait 2 1/2 seconds or so before i can throw another frost bolt. *shrugs*
On a MC boss everyone kinda has to hold back a little, otherwise you draw agro and could wipe the whole raid if you're not careful. Even that rogue or hunter isn't going full blast or else the boss will turn around and 1 shot them. So while in theory a melee would outdamae a mage on a MC boss or the like, the reality is there really isnt all that much of a difference.

Anyone want to give my guild and me some tips on destroying the BWL Razorgore fight? I accept PM's if you want to keep it downlow. We're a good, well organized guild who had a lot of people splinter off a while back (when we were killing Rag and Ony) and we're just recently now back on our feet. The most eggs we've managed to break is +/- 15. I'm new to the fight so I was a shaman in Group8 by the stage throwing earthbind totems and healing our warrior. I know we have a group of mages running around in the center doing crowd control with frost/sheep/whatever they do and have the other groups studded around the perimeter doing their allocated jobs. We're all on Ventrillo so we're able to organize and switch things up rather fast if necessary.
Thanks for any advice if possible! -T

Yeah, spirit is definitely underrated. Especially as a priest with spirit tap, which doubles your spirit for 12 seconds after a kill that you get XP for. I got/made myself an armor set that emphasizes spirit for grinding, and it drastically reduced my downtime--no more having to sit there waiting for my mana to regenerate or find something to drink. I can now legitimately grind, going from target to target, only having to stop to refuel after killing 5-6 guys... About what a warrior or rogue would have to do for health.

Good news. My server, being a low pop server, is fairly far behind on the accomplishments, but I'm proud to be a part of some of them.
I'm part of an alliance of small guilds. We group together to tackle big challenges that casual groups normally don't have a shot at. We've cleared up to Gehennas in Molten Core (we would have been farther by now if Blizzard didn't hate us... instance bugs GALORE have been plaguing our runs because we are always rotating people from day to day... ugh) and just last night, we took down Onyxia. Friday night, we took down Lucifron in a flawless fight, no deaths (second week in a row). Then we took down Magmadar on the first attempt (again, second week in a row... thanks seretogis!). Then we took down Gehennas for our first time. We then called it a night. Saturday, we get together to kill Onyxia. It took us a few tries, but on our 3rd attempt, it looked like we were gonna do it. Then shit just seemed to be going wrong. Not enough DPS was alive. The countdown was slow... "4%" ..... "3%" .......... "2%" .... "Dont get aggro!!" ... "1%".... "c'mon! c'mon!" .... "1%" ..... "Nooooooo" We wiped at half of a percent. On our next trip into the instance.. well.. without describing too much.. the warders kept respawning over and over. We couldn't do anything. Blizzard suggested waiting an hour and reforming. Well, we did that, and it was still bugged. So, for the second Saturday in a row, our raid was bugged. Plus, after waiting an hour+ to reform, we no longer had enough time to go for Garr. So, we decided on the fly to go for her Sunday. We killed her on first attempt. Wheee.

water is only good ifyou can drink it.. although with mage armor and a hefty amount of spirit, you shouldnt need to drink unless you got serious crunch time involved i.e. an instance end boss i started the whole high spirit thing right around ZF cuz back then there was a combat bug and you ended up doing most the instance stuck in combat. very bad for the big fight.. the only way outta it was to alt tab .. ctrl alt del and crash wow then come back in and drink as fast as you could before the bug hit ya again. remember pain... 5 sec after a spell is cast your spirit kicks in for mana regen.. if you cast a spell it resets each time. now mage armor is different it WILL allow to regen mana during combat. but really its about 1-2 spells in a big battle but it helps. awesomeness of mage armor 1. mana regen during combat 2. resists added while its up 3. you can drink a defense potion you lack the slow chill effect from ice/frost armor but with the above combo you can up your defense a bit more then you could with say ice/frost armor and such
