Our's is not to question why, our's is but to do or die.

sad fact: we are dying.

A sadder fact, still,
that accepting that wholesale requires insurance. Pluto's planethood doesn't bother it at all 'cuz it has Charon. |
Charon must have good taste in cold dwarfs.
From Jet's "sad facts" link I learned that a blue whale can blow up 2000 balloons with one breath! |

You gave me a funny pun for breakfast. Yum.

My breakfast taste leans more for kielbasi with scrambled eggs than any sweet stuff...except a kiss.

Since it's nearly Spring, I would prefer to call it a Full Worm Moon to celebrate the reappearance of worms and the return of the robins Full Moon Names and Their Meanings | Farmers Almanac
But Full Sap Moon is another name: Sap Moon to present largest Full Moon of 2011, says Norwood astronomer Wednesday, March 9, 2011 - 2:15 pm By BRUCE McCLURE The Full Moon falling on March 19 ushers in the third Full Moon after the December 21 solstice, and it will be a big one. In North America, we commonly call this Full Moon the Sap Moon, Crow Moon or Worm Moon. This year, the March Full Moon gives us the closest and largest Full Moon of 2011. This upcoming Full Moon will coincide with lunar perigee, the Moon's closest approach to Earth for the month. At perigee on March 19, the Moon will be a little more than 222,000 miles away. Contrast this to lunar apogee, the Moon's farthest distance, on March 6, when it was over 252,000 miles distant. As a rule of thumb, the year's closest perigee takes place on the one day of the year that the Full Moon and perigee align. March 19 won't only feature the closest Full Moon of the year, but the Moon at its nearest for all of 2011. Closest Full Moons recur in cycles of 14 lunar months. That's because 14 returns to Full Moon almost exactly equal 15 returns to perigee. The lunar month refers to the period of time between successive Full Moons: 29.53059 days. The anomalistic month is the period between successive perigees: 27.55455 days. Hence: 14 x 29.53059 = 413.428 days 15 x 27.55455 = 413.318 days This period of time is about equal to 1 year 1 month and 18 days. In 2012, the closest Full Moon will occur on May 5. Enjoy the Sap Moon, the closest and largest Full Moon of 2011, as it lights up the nighttime from dusk till dawn. Astronomer Bruce McClure of Norwood writes for EarthSky, an astronomy information and entertainment service at EarthSky.org. |

the longest operation in the world?
From February 04 - 08 1951 Gertrude Levandowski underwent surgery to remove an ovarian cyst. The world's longest operation lasted 96 hours. Gertrude Levandowski went from a scale tipping 616 pounds to manageable 308 pounds, losing 1/2 her body weight after the cyst was removed. (I find it hard to believe it was exactly half her weight. It was 308 and not 309 or 307?) |

I'm only coming up with nine rhymes with wine and vine and mine and fine and dine as well as line and pine. A "zine" has that "eeee" sound, so not the longest "i" sound.

That would be correct, OCM.

I was in Christchurch,
1977. A beautiful place. (2x4)-5-2=1 |
I was an altar boy for over 5 years if that counts for anything. Fortunately for the church, I never developed a taste for altar wine though I got a liking for incense. And fortunately for me, I never ran into an abusive priest.
|
Wouldn't you run away from a one?
|
Religious humor ran past
& laid me out laughing on the floor, like over-incensed of-the-cloths. |
On the other hand, there was another older altar boy who was a real nasty bully. Luckily, a couple years later he was pulling his shit again but failed to notice I was now as big as he was and I commenced to kick his ass with great satisfaction. I never pick a fight but he deserved it.

We all deserve it, temptations of faith aside, & assholery. //A rabbi & a priest are in a car accident. Both escape without a scratch, though the cars are totalled. They agree it's miraculous. "Even more miraculous," says the rabbi, "is this unbroken bottle of kosher wine in my boot." He opens the wine & passes it to the priest, who takes a few swigs. The rabbi then throws the bottle away. "You're not having any?" the priest asks. "Nah, I'll wait until the police come," the rabbi answers.// |
I have a friend in NZ, but haven't been able to find her in years. :(
You drive a hard bargain, OCM. |

You're a wise man, Jetée.
I just ate a bag of an interesting new junk food I found. I liked the taste, sort of like Cheetos made from peas (credit for that description goes to Katie Carpenter) and the nutritional facts make it seem not as bad as a lot of other stuff I eat. In in few minutes I'm also posting it in the "what you're eating now" thread. So this stuff is Snapea Crisps made by Calbee Calbee America They are baked, and the ingredients don't sound bad for a lightly salted snack: green peas, corn oil, rice, salt, calcium carbonate, ascorbic acid. As mentioned on the packaging, I bet they could taste good in a salad or with some kind of dip. They also make Veggie Mix Crunches which I'll try soon. Here's the Snapea Crisps: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...apeacrisps.jpg |
I just got done eating (meaning: about ~4 hours ago) baby carrot sticks as my after-dinner cleanser. Yes.
You may not notice the similarities, but I just can't help in seeing everything is inter-connected (even the ominous things). |
I also may have just watched my first ever episode of Wings (I thought it was a sitcom about about the Air Force?).
Very errie at how very similar Tony Shalhoub's bleak outlook on life is to the point, exactly concurrent with my own (despite my knowing that near every character he's ever portrayed is over-the-top foreign, false, and disbelieving -- not unlike myself, too). |
