Jetée 01-17-2011 01:01 PM

I really would like to reply to you all at this time, but this thread, or turn-a-topic, has grown stale.

I'll just apply...

Jetée 01-17-2011 01:02 PM

some magic potion, and get rolling... towards the dawn page

Jetée 01-17-2011 01:03 PM

It's three-and-a-half of us, against the world.

(I can't believe the Jets and Steelers won. My two-most hated teams in the AFC.)

Jetée 01-17-2011 01:04 PM

I'm going to issue a few back-tracked replies from page 602, if you guys don't mind.

Jetée 01-17-2011 01:04 PM

I've been flickering in the white zone, that of absolute purgatory, so it will serve me the better to get caught up.

Jetée 01-17-2011 01:05 PM

Only about nine more, I believe.

(I'm not one to rally against the issue, but I truly hate the one-sentence 'WTF' spammers.)

Jetée 01-17-2011 01:06 PM

Why are we seeking to garner more and more pageviews, and seemingly simple, new conversational threads if these are the only types of members that we can attract?

Jetée 01-17-2011 01:08 PM

It's hard being an idealist, grounded in the fact that reality sucks, and time skips.

(And I haven't even finished my 'believe' project, nor I have I completed my calendar, and I'm not even sure to look to find that very elusive memory of very faint Founding Fathers Quote. Is it Voltaire? Oh oh oh...)

Jetée 01-17-2011 01:09 PM

Since this page is going to snowball all the way to the bottom of the bunny slope, I suppose this should help make it more bearable... I'm real.

Jetée 01-17-2011 01:17 PM

I guess I'm not supposed to live after "nine".

Jetée 01-17-2011 01:19 PM

I wonder why that was? You'll not figure it out, but I was delayed all because of this (seemingly) innocuous posting.

Jetée 01-17-2011 01:31 PM

Jetée 01-21-2011 11:44 AM

Thanks for replying in-between there.
If not, it would have looked impatient/uncouth to come back so quickly.

backstory:
I used to multiply because it was a rare instance, and then I did it because it was fun/aided us, and now, I only reserve it for spite of the one that shall not be named/in threes.

Jetée 01-21-2011 11:45 AM

The first time:
I learned it from TheOne, (I'll see if I can find his user-url) who said: (paraphrasingly) to strike quickly and furiously, unrelenting.

Ourcrazymodern? 01-21-2011 11:50 AM

The power of spite
is hard to direction give
& often rebounds.

Jetée 01-21-2011 11:51 AM

The second time, which came many years later:
In fact, I think it might have been as soon as this past full year, I took to one of Stange Famous's hostings, and noticed a peculiar observance. He had done what no one else could do on command, willingly, (save for maybe the mods) which was double-post. It took some doing (and thinking!) to realize it, what he had done, differently, but I solved it: it was the frames! (the pictures / attachments)

The third time:
It was enabled? Yes. I suppose, it was. Then it dissipated.

Jetée 01-21-2011 11:57 AM

Short story:
If you want to leap in bounds as well, just reach into your personal Yay! Folder, and attach an interesting one. {Wait? attachments are disabled within the TF Zone? Nonsense?!}

The power within me to do this has returned, so long as I make a little use of myself. Truth is: I'd much rather have the power to double-post, as this gives me a few extra minutes to change my posting input time, (PIT) and not have to trouble myself with leaving red borderline markers (RBM) everywhere I couldn't edit my posts within the 90-second unofficial window of re-thought (UWRt).

Jetée 01-21-2011 11:59 AM

I have to leave for a bit now, seeing as I installed within my current frame of online-usership that I'd post nine different things in nine separate locales, and I sort of broke that initial ruling when I popped back in here for an update.

(Why did jewels feel the need to post then, and there, in my plain sight? Woe!)

I'm sure there are still plenty of people around who are paranoid about such things. As for me, I wouldn't equate it with evility but I believe it is not the ideal system for human society that it was cracked up to be. Actually, there seems to be no such thing as the ideal system if it involves humans who are very non-perfect by nature. On top of that, I can't accept a system that has a distorted definition of human nature. Rabbits seem more perfect than humans.

I just caught the film the other day. Saw most of it. If I'm not mistaken, it's one of Leo's rarer "comedy" roles; he usually opts for the 'larger-than-life' dramatics.

1971

(did the Coyote & Roadrunner cartoons last until the 70s? They were horrendous by then.)

Jetée 01-22-2011 12:45 PM

I took the extra two minutes of liberty to find out.

It seems the cartoons were in regular circulation up until 1966, where the serilaiziation stutter-stoped for a few decades, when two new cartoons were produced in 1979 and 1980, and then it later in 1994, up until the "new generation" (re: ick) was re-started in the 2000s.

I'm not sure which episode you'd deem the "official" end of the sries as we know it; it's between three, I think: The Wild Chase (1965), Sugar and Spies (1966), Soup or Sonic (1980)

Jetée 01-22-2011 12:48 PM

And just for good measure, here's #3.

I dont think any (human) system that is touted is perfect; civilizations around the world through history have toppled one time or another.

Put it simply: I don't trust any faction of our (US) gov't at all. I prefer the Nordic/Baltic states that are employed in Sweden, Switzerland, Norway and others, but those are more successful due to the relative freedom of community there. It wouldn't translate well if it were imported here (though, I'm thinking, I should translate myself over there, and make myself a home.)

I really, really, am despising actually HAVING to double-post now. I want to to do this on my own sweet time, not just to keep up (last reference).

BadNick 01-22-2011 03:29 PM

That Coyote catching a curl is nice, thanks Jet. I think "10" refers to your ten toes, which might be thought of as "hanging ten" if you were right on the front edge of the board and your toes were hanging off the front, but if you had to be catching 10 I figure either you were trying to catch your toes or you lost them.

In the catch me if you can, I kept mixing up the "me" and "us" while the whole time I had this one in mind:

I can attest to the fact that not only are they smart, they taste good as long as they had a good balanced rustic diet (corn, nuts, berries, etc) and not eating just city garbage. I recommend braised with carrots, mushrooms, and onions.

Jetée 01-24-2011 06:41 PM

Jet,
do you consider it dishonorable or instigating trouble by telling us how to post multiple consecutive posts without having it automerge? Of course PM us the cool info so "the other guys" have to find out on their own.
