Rrrrroll up The Rrrrrim
It is that time of year again.
All though my life I have never seen anything but the standard "Sorry, please try again". From Coffee Crisp wrappers to Tim Horton's rims. So I sit here sipping my first Rrrrroll up The Rrrrrim of the season planning what I am going to do with the GMC Envoy that I am about to win. Maybe I will keep it. No, It's a gaz guzzler. I will sell it for the cash and pay down my mortgage. Or maybe I should win the Panasonic Home Theatre system. Nah...I don't really need that. Probably best to win the $1000 bucks cash. Nope, I am back to the GMC Envoy. I just hope I don't win the Coleman camping package. You know what...anything would be nice for a change even another cup of coffee. OK here it goes, the lid is off. I am Rrrrrolling up the rrrrrim...... OH SHOCKER... Please Try Again/ Reessayez S.V.P. Does anybody ever win these things? Post your chocolat bar/Coffee cup/other winning or losing stories.

I was going to college and Calgary, and a girl there won the SUV.
The words out of her mouth were: "what am I going to do with this, my dad just bought me a new .. (insert car here)" sigh.

If i won a SUV i would sell it as i probably couldn't afford the insurance on it.
I don't drink much from Tim Hortons..So my chances of winning are slimmer than my chances at winning the lottery

Ha ha! I won a coffee on my first try! It's good luck! I don't even want the Envoy because I don't even have enough $$ to my name to pay the taxes on it up front. I'll take the $1000 any old day of the week. Bring it on!!
I love Rrrrrrrrrrolll Up The Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrim !!!! It's so Canadian!!!

I had a friend who won a bicycle like 2 years back. I've never won anything more than a muffin.
Damn Tim Horton's and their liquir crack. I don't even really like it, but I still drink occasionally, and the Roll Up The Rim contest sucks me in like the sucker I am. I quit coffee a few months ago, and now I'm back up to at least 1 a day...

When I was in grad school, there was a tims about a hundred feet from all my classes. Fucking liscence to print money, a Tim Hortons on a University campus. Anyhoo, I drank so much Tims and I won lots of free coffees, donuts, cookies, all the time. Well over 50 things I won (don't ask how many cups of coffee I drank. I am in therapy)
I had a winning streak on one week during the contest where they GAVE YOU ANOTHER PRIZE CUP WITH YOUR FREE COFFEE!!! I think I had about 5 cups straight that said 'Free Coffee' I was in heaven. I think that we should design Canadian women's underwear where there is a little "Roll up the Rim" on the waist band. If the girl is in the mood, she just puts on the pair that says "Free Sex" That pair comes with 6 matching pairs that says " Please Try Again/Reessayez S.V.P." The Canadian Boys would be like "Aw, shucks, I never win at these things..."

Genius yes, Patent, no...
You know how hard it is to get a patent?? And then the whole trademark thing. It would be a nightmare.
I want the record to show, for EONs, that I thought of it first. That is all I need. As far as genuis goes, yes, it is a terrible burden. I am in therapy. I HATE to blw my own horn, but why don't you go to my other post on the Canada forum Called "I Work For The D-N-D, Oy! Oy!" That is where the genius really is.

How long has Tim Hortons been in the states? I remember hearing them planning on expanding some shops in the states, But never knew they actually did.

When I drove to Ellicottville last year I saw one in the small town I drove through on the way there... Had a drive through and everything...
The wierdest place I saw a Tim Horton's was in Singapore. Seriously. BTW, my Mom showed up yesterday with three winning rims... doughnuts all.

I guess I'm pretty lucky. I win at least twice a week (usually coffees, donuts, and muffins...no cookies )

Last year I won a doughnut that I never claimed (I may even be able to find the tab and claim it now? That's rough), a muffin which I did (great for breakfast eating), and a cookie. I won a cookie, it made me so proud!
Now, I have to win a gold star as well. Them's were the days. Oh, yeah, and an Envoy too. Though I don't have a liscence. I guess it just like giving me the money I would get for an Envoy. I wouldn't complain. |

My first one this season was a bagel, since then a donut. RUTR is a sure sign that spring is on the way. I'm pulling for the SUV, damn the mileage!

i have 2 timmies a day, so after about 14 cups i've got 1 measly donut to my name.
I'll take anything non-food related. I'm not proud.

I think I should get a free cookie or something for all the Tim's cups I pick up around my house and driveway seemingly dropped from hands or car windows.

Off topic, but Tim's related story:
I used to work with this know-it-all guy, one day he was telling a story about how his 'friend' was in "insert country" (can't remember) and that some other Canadians reconized that they were Canadians as well because they both had Tim's cups. After he was done telling that story, another of my co-workers said to him "oh, you saw that COMMERICIAL too?" HAHA it was great to get this guy! but the reasoning im telling this story is about the Tims in Singapore and the States. Whates everyones view on Tims expanding. |

I haredly ever drink coffee myself but my wife used to have Tim's coffee all the time when she was in school out East. She rolled up the rim to win us a nice Broil King barbie a few years ago. Worked out great too as we didn't have one at the time. Very nice BBQ!

I have won four times in a row this week, but my streak ended on tuesday. But damn were those four donuts great. The woman who works at the Timmys that I go to gives me extra donuts because... well.... I dont know why yet.
Good luck to all of you... I am holding out for the home theatre system. |
