its a bit to expensive...and by a bit, i mean a lot. living near the beach is a must though, and not filthy diaper filled beaches such as los angeles'.

still... there's several quaint little beach towns in the area that have got to be cheaper than residing in LA.

the only beach near LA that i've only been to was in santa monica a few short years back.
the beach we went to there (by the pier) was clean, but there sure were a lot of agressive panhandlers with nice clothes & bad teeth.

lol, yes, i'm quite familiar with that rat hole, it’s like a 5 minute drive from school. the actual pier is a filthy mess, looks much better on tv. as far as the beach being clean...hmm, you sure it was santa monica? :lol: the sand, beach and everything by the pier is filthy. perhaps, i'm exaggerating a bit, simply for my hatred of this city, who knows, but after seeing beaches that are crystal clear with beautiful white sand, without crack-head bums harassing you every 5 minutes, places like santa monica look like a wasteland.

what i wouldn't do for winter! the heat wave seems to be in this god damn city officially, it's been a good 105 + last couple days, and they said it's only going to get hotter. whoopdie fucking doo.

It's been alright here the past couple of days, the humidity has at least gone away for a bit and the wind is blowing but it's supposed to go back to the heat wave temps again soon. I miss winter so much, I'm not a summer person all, maybe I should move way the hell up north where it's at least cooler than it is here in Ottawa.

I haven't been drinking much lately, this was the first time in about a month and a half. Although I did quit drinking for a while before, it's the summer and nothing beats the heat better than some beers.

now that i'm a cranky old woman, pretty much the only thing i truly appreciate about this time of summer is the long daylight hours. i perish & complain a lot in the heat. HATE IT. it's so dang HOT here right now. thank goodness we don't have humidity here as well. i grew up in a humidity plagued state - good thing i was young back then. thank goodness for air-conditioning!!!

i much prefer spring & autumn when i can have every window in the house opened.

one good thing about summer, home grown tomatoes!!
