I like it simply -- marinate it in some soy sauce...(throw it in a big ziploc bag, throw in some soy sauce, and some crushed garlic) Let it marinate for a few hours.
Then before throwing it on the grill, sprinkle generously with fresh cracked black pepper and some salt (I am not a salt user generally, but it makes beef so much better) I also like my beef practically still moo'ing, but London Broil, I like medium rare.

This just popped into my head - my mom also used to serve it with a melted butter/Dijon mustard sauce on the side -- that I seem to recall being mighty tasty.
Side dishes you might want to have corn on the cob, from the grill, or baked taters from teh grill.

3/4 c. vegetable oil
1/3 c. soy sauce 3 tbsp. honey 3 tbsp. red wine vinegar 2 tsp. ground ginger 1 green onion, chopped 1 lg. garlic cloves, crushed 1 (1 1/2 lb.) flank steak or London broil, trimmed and scored combine first 7 ingredients - place meat in large marinade dish and pour marinade over - cover and refrigerate overnight - turning steak twice. prepare barbecue - grill meat to desired doneness - 4 to 5 minutes per side for rare (best for london broil) - slice into thin strips across grain and serve |
