What are Sayid and Charlie building with bamboo?
http://www.losthatch.com/images%5Csc...e_Building.jpg - A prison perhaps? It seems that no one hate The Others as much as Charlie and Sayid. Perhaps what ever they are currently working on is part of some kind of plan that they've come up with after the conversation which ended with Sayid asking: "Have you forgotten, Charlie?" And what is Mr. Eko up to? Remember him starting to cut down the trees he'd marked with an X? He later borrowed tool from the bunker to help him in the building of something unknown.. |

A prison seems like the most likely answer, since Charlie and Sayid probably do hate The Others more than anyone else on the island. I like the idea of a church too though. Though if that was the case, Eko would probably be helping.
Either way, it seems kind of small. Perhaps we're reading too much into it and it's just another shelter. We can see in the background that everyone is still pretty much living in a tent-town, so a shelter would make just as much sense as a prison or a church. -Tamerlain |
it was said in an interview that we will know who wrote the map by the end of this season.

I thought tonight's episode was really well done. I felt bad for Hurley just because of his imaginary friend problem and trying to figuring out the difference between what is "real" and what is only in his mind.
And the "Henry Gale" is an other who stated that he was not afraid of the guy with the beard, since there is someone or something much more powerful that he. Libby was in the same institution as Hurley! I wonder what type of problem she had. |
Articles for this week were entitled
he was right the guy with the beard is "no one". it was just a person acting out that role. I am very interested in knowing about the person everyone (the others) seems to fear.....i bet its a kid that’s leading them so the rumors that have been around since Hurley said he recognizes Libby from somehwere were true… Libby was in that ward as well lol i think the fake mr. gale was right the numbers do nothing even Walt said don't push the buttons the buttons are bad (backwards). |
Wow. What a waste of an episode. I guess background info about Hurley is all well and good but it did only two things to advance the mythology of the show, and neither of those was very meaningful. I feel like there are much more elegant ways to do what they did. Ah well. Next week looks to be excellent.
|
About the only thing of consequence in this episode, I felt, is that we found out Libby was in the psychiatric hospital with Hurley. A future problem this could cause might be Hurley finding out and again thinking that the island and everything happening to him is in his head.
It will be interesting to find out if Libby was cured like Hurley was, or if she broke out and is still having mental problems. The latter will make for more interesting plotlines, I imagine. :) -Tamerlain |
Yeah, that really was literally the only important thing about this episode. So many better ways to show us that without just taking a week off from the important plotlines.
|
Quote:
Umm, how about the fact that 'Bluebeard' is just a pawn and not the leader of the "Others." Doesn't that strike you as significant? What could scare a man more than a crazed Iraqi with a gun to your head? I agree that this was a 'down' episode from last week, but not a total waste of time. |
I don't know if anyone else caught this, or if it just might be my imagination, but it looked to me that right after the little "tender-smoochie scene" on the cliff, as Hurley was walking away, that Libby had a look of disgust on her face.
So if that is the case, I'm thinking that either she's an other (less likely), or that since she is from the same city and was in the same institution as Hrley, that she knows all about his lottery winnings, and maybe is making a little "plans for the future" play. |
Quote:
http://telusplanet.net/public/markus_e/images/libby.jpg That's a good catch, could be she is just playing Hugo to get his money. Seems like a reasonable theory to me. |
I caught that look too. At the time, I couldn't decide if it was intentional, or just bad acting. If it was intentional, I suspect it's a nod to her mental instability, rather than some convoluted plan to go after his off-island money.
My guess is that later this season, she will turn out to be an obsessive, jealous, paranoid stalker. Moreover, while in the hospital, she created a complex fantasy life for her and Hurly; which we'll get to see. This speaks to two "Things you wouldn't know without the movies": 1) Women who pursue men first, are insane. 2) Short, husky guys just can't get a break. |
Quote:
There was a scene where Zeke was talking to Ethan and they make a reference to someone above them. So it didn't surprise me that Gale was more afraid of someone above Zeke than Zeke himself. I think most of us are feeling that this episode wasn't very good because the last 3 or 4 have been excellent, where this one was just regular. -Tamerlain |
Now we know that it is really all in Hurleys head. Maybe the rest of the cast will show up in some of his psych flashbacks.

Quote:
The episode was clumsy. Good episodes do a good job of integrating the primary storyline/mythology with the individual who is at the heart of the episode and his flashbacks. "The Long Con" is, in my opinion, the best episode period so far. Everything that happens works in concert to advance the overall storyline, advance the characters in the present and to give us more background on Sawyer in the past. This episode showed us some random facts about Hurley and one random fact about his ladyfriend. It also showed a few random facts about Locke's condition, Sayid's frustration, Henry's resolve and the structure of the Others. It didn't do it in an elegant and coherent manner like they've shown themselves capable of doing in the past, and I would've rather learned the fact that Mr. Friendly has a big scary boss in a more compelling fashion when it seemed to reflect upon the experiences of the protagonist of that episode. Edit: I very much disagree with the analysis that the fact that she was in the institution shows that the entire island is in Hurley's head. It would be such an immensely cheap parlour trick to have that happen. I feel like it's there to tease you as a "wouldn't this be interesting" but I don't think it has a lot of merit. For example, why would we have seen all of these dispirate background stories if they're all constructs of Hurley's delusional mind? Hurley clearly doesn't know everything about everyone, so what possible device would there be for us to have seen background about people if Hurley (who would be our only source) doesn't actively know about them himself? There would have to be an enormously bizarre combination of his brain creating very elaborate stories about all of these people and then repressing all of that creative energy so that he doesn't actively know it. If Hurley were Jack (i.e. the person that the show has focused on the most), I think there might be an argument for it being in his head. Hurley has been too much of a side character for me to really think it works. Lost, in general, isn't really very conducive to being relegated to being someone's delusion, because there are so many people with so much going on. Now, if they're all under the influence of the *SAME* delusion, that's another question entirely. |

some great ideas here, i do think that it will be some sort of church, i hear that the next episode will be one of the best yet and sets the scene for the last few eps this season

Sam Austen holding a picture of Kate. The picture would be her at 12 or 13 years old.

Yeah I missed that too. I can't even remember which episode it's from.

oh and congrats to me! i guessed it right that Ecko was building a church. |
A very character driven ep. last night. I enjoy those, so I wasn't too disappointed with the lack of mythology advancement.
My guess, is that the healing qualities of the island are at the root of the Dharma Initiative, what ever that was, and also responsible for Jin's fertility; unless of course Sun slept with her English tutor. Furthermore, mental health does not appear to be affected by them. (I'm looking at you Libby!) |
Yeah, I really think episodes like last night's are the reason I keep watching the show. It was really really good, even though many will say that nothing happened.
I agree... magnetics definitely are involved, and healing is definitely a part of it, as the Australian faith healer was trying to explain to Rose. I was also reminded of an episode of Bullshit! I saw about these energy spots in the earth, in which they completely debunked the idea that these magnetic vortexes in the Earth have healing properties... I wonder if the Island is just a magnetic vortex so amazingly powerful that it can heal, somehow... |
This rings true to what we knew last season when Locke lost the use of his legs for a while, when Boone died.
As the Mystic at Uluru suggested, it may have something to do with magnetism... this also fuels the magnetism theories out there. Interesting to see Rose and Bernard's back story. I've been wanting to see some of their life for a while. Also interesting to see more survivors. This was the first episode I can remember since the early days, where there were more extras roaming about. I am very interested to see where Locke is going with his new break from the hatch. I think he suspects that the numbers are a psychological experiment and he is having none of it now. He won't enter the numbers again (faith!). I also suspect he will eventually lead a party to discover the whereabouts of the other hatches, once he has completed his map. |
what ever happened to locke being a mystic badass, anyway? he's seemed so average this season.
|
Is Michael brainwashed or is he telling the truth about his information on the others?
|
I don't see any reason to think he is brainwashed at this moment. He could have been shown false information to lead him on but I don't think so.
|
>>>but it looked to me that right after the little "tender-smoochie scene" on the cliff, as Hurley was walking away, that Libby had a look of disgust on her face.>>>
Maybe Hurley's breath smelled like stale junk food ? I am sure Libby knows that Hurley will be declared offically dead before they are rescued and his millions spread out to his living family members. Although if she is insane, then she might not have figured that out. She might be doing the survivor alliance thing with Hurley since he has a good nose to smell out food ? Jonathan |

Makes me wonder what the look was for though. Maybe she's worried Jin will be the same person he was when they get off the island and she doesn't want to raise a family with him if he's going to be the same person he was when he worked for her father. -Tamerlain |
I think it has more to do with the fact that she is going to have to raise a kid on a desert island where people are getting killed by "black smoke" monsters and where "Others" take children... etc.
It isn't exactly the kind of place people think of when they think about raising their kids. |
This is all over the internet but...
Taken from Yahoo news And another one bites the dust? Try as the Lost writers might to keep a lid on series-shifting spoilers, when one of its stars is tapped to join another TV show, it would seem that that person's fate on the island is pretty much sealed. Spoiler: According to the Hollywood Reporter, Cynthia Watros, who plays Hurley's love interest, Libby, has been cast in a CBS comedy pilot, calling into severe question her chances of making it out of Lost's second season alive. Watros has signed on to star opposite Love Monkey's Tom Cavanagh in the sitcom My Ex-Life, centering on a divorced couple turned best buds who are sharing custody of their children. The show is aiming for a slot on CBS' fall schedule, which will be announced next month. In what appears to be attempt to minimize revealing Lost plot points, the Reporter notes that Watros has committed to be a guest star and not a regular on the show. However, with her character being one of the two divorced parents in My Ex-Life, it seems that the guest star line is just a smoke screen. Per usual, Lost producers aren't talking. They've already killed one regular this season--Shannon (Maggie Grace) was mistakenly gunned down by Ana-Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez)--but with tension mounting between the so-called Lostaways and the Others, it would be surprising if there wasn't at least one more grave to be dug on the island. Watros is one of three full-time cast members to have joined Lost this season, along with Rodriguez and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Mr. Eko). The three were among the "Tailies," those who were in the rear of the plane and survived on the other side of the island. Fans, for one, have long been speculating on who would be the next Tailie to go, with early rumor-mongering centering on Rodriguez as the marked woman. Rodriguez and Watros were both arrested on DUI charges last year. Watros copped a plea and lost her license, but Rodriguez, who faces potentially more serious legal trouble because she's on probation in another case, decided to fight the rap and is set to go to trial next week. Tabloid reports have suggested that Rodriguez is a disruptive force on the set, and her character has never endeared herself to Lost's die-hard fans after killing Shannon. But producers sought to quell predictions of Ana-Lucia's demise--or at least create a misdirection--saying that her personal life would not affect her tenure on the show. Further suggesting that Watros may be, well, lost forever, is the industry precedent of offing stars who land pilot gigs on other networks. The most notable would be Drea de Matteo, who, despite proclamations to the contrary, met her demise on The Sopranos shortly after signing on to Joey. More recently, 24's Dennis Haysbert (President Palmer) announced last year he had joined the CBS drama The Unit. By the end of this season's first episode, President Palmer was dead. Lost ends its second season with a special two-hour finale May 24. In the meantime, pray for Libby. |
Did anyone bother to watch the Clip-show last night? Did they throw in any new information or hints at all?
|
I saw the last half of the recap show... there was no additional information.
|
Quote:
well - no - there was no new information. I will say this though: the things that they chose to cover or not cover are revealing. What I mean is that if someone is a casual Lost watcher or is new to the show, they choose clips that will get them up to speed. SO things like Libby telling Anna that she was a Clinical Psycologyst were mixed in with every possible example of any potential tension between Jack and Locke. Not much on Sayid, Sawyer and almost nothing on Kate. Not much on Charlie, Echo, Claire, Rose, Bernard either. Lots of info on the others. You figure that the direction this thing goes is toward confrentation with the others and how that plays out with Jack and Locke. At least that is my best guess. |
oh man just saw an ad for the next episode... its gonna be tomorow night... I hate all the breaks that they force on us...
|
Spoiler: I was right about michael being brainwashed by the others and I am shocked that he killed Anna Lucia and Libby. What a bastard!
|
If you don't know not to read this on a Wednesday night (if you haven't seen the show) by now, then you deserve spoilers :P
Unfortunately, Ana only got one shot. A stomach shot. I'm scared Jack may fix it somehow.. I'd really like to see her character killed off. I fear it's Libby that's going to be dead.. poor libby. As for Michael, yeah.. that was crazy. Did he shoot himself to make it look like Henry had done it somehow? He must have, if Hurley was saying (in previews for next week) "I'm glad you're alright, man.". I still don't like Ana Lucia ;) |
Holy shit! I did not expect that!
I can't wait for the explanation for the killing of AL. |
i think michael is trying to provoke a war with the others. ana lucia was a necessary sacrifice and libby had seen too much... then mike wounds himself and kills henry or lets him go to make it look as if henry had broken out.
|
I don't know what to say I understand why Michael did what he did, but it was kinda a cheap way to get rid of some characters. Looks like he is going on a killing spree.
I just didn't like it, it pissed me off |
i think my theory makes sense... except everyone seemed pretty willing to go along with michael already... loche and jack were on their way to get the guns from sawyer and michael knew that. why would he kill ana and libby if he was already getting what he wanted? maybe he was just getting insurance to keep the rest from backing out?
i dont think he was brainwashed by the others... i can't see what motive they would have, aside from maybe provoking an attack (although they've already said they want to be left alone). the more i think about it, the less sense this really makes. |
Yeah, I'm pretty much sure that's about the dumbest thing I've seen since some of the plot twists in 24 this season. Good way to get rid of two cast members who were making trouble for the production off the set. Terrible way to advance the story line. It simply doesn't make sense.
zz |
The episode was a shock, I'll give them that. But then I started thinking about something else. Essentially nothing has happened this season. They added a few characters, then killed them off (except Mr Ecko or whatever), they still haven't figured out the timer in the hatch, Walt is still gone, the prisoner that was captured has been freed with no valuable information divulged, so essentially we are at the same point where we were at the end of last season, except Michael is evil now.
When Anna lucile got shot in the chest (she is definitely dead btw) I was like "oh shit" but when the blonde chick came in and got capped multiple times I just started laughing as it was completely over the top, plus her character was somewhat ... boring. |
Why has nobody yet mentioned the commercial for the Hanso Foundation? I almost shit myself when it came on. My girlfriend, who I admit is less addicted than myself, watched it and didn't even bat an eye until I said something later.
For the record, the number on the commercial to call was 1-877-hansorg (1-877-4267674). Earlier it seemed to be unconnected, but now... well, I've a little extra adrenaline in my system. I'll see if I can post links to the recordings I made in the morning. |
Another possible explanation is that the others forced/coerced Michael to do what he did in order to save Walt. The others are holding Walt captive, and told him to kill Anna Lucia, and maybe save Henry, then they would let Walt go?
and anyone else thinking that Michelle Rodriguez and whats-her-name went out and partied a little to hard once they finished filming their last scenes of the show? might help explain the drunk driving... :) |

If it had been me, I'd have shot them both and then been so freaked out I'd have forgotten the combination. Hee! I think AL is dead and Libby is wounded. Hurley just wasn't upset enough in the previews. Plus, it give's Michael something to worry about. "What if she wakes up and tells them?" I couldn't shake the shock from that scene, even this morning. I guessed he'd shoot AL and free Henry, but didn't see him shooting Libby and then himself. At first, I thought he aimed the gun at his head and I was REALLY freaked. |

Incidentaly, along with the TV ad there are some changes to their website: Spoiler: http://thehansofoundation.org/ If you poke around the website it eventually asks you for a password which I assume available from calling the number Tex listed above. So if anyone gets that pass word please post it here with a spoiler tag, otherwise I might never get thru. Now, as for all the action last night... I hope, Ana is dead. I never bought her character from the begining. But this was a clumsy way to get rid of her... and the sex with Sawyer? I hope Libby survived, as I want to know more about her in the looney bin. However rumour has it that Spoiler: The actress has already started filming a new show with Tom Cavanaugh and therefore I'd presume her ticket is punched. |
Libby is dead because the actor who plays Libby has landed a role on another series.
I don't think you can have either of them survive the shooting. If they did, they could immediately finger Michael as the shooter (the only way out of that is to keep them in a coma or something like that, but given the lack of medical supplies, not likely to stay alive in a coma). I agree that Michael was likely told, "Free Henry and you can have your boy back." Michael is a desperate man. The episode was chock full of other stuff as well. The conversation between Locke and Henry was interesting. "You are one of the good ones." and, "I was on my way to get you." This combined with Henry's conversation with Analucia, that "he" thought she could be brought around, that she could change, despite what some thought, suggests that what we were thinking about the survivors were being tested is somehow true. They were chosen specifically to be there because of what they had done. That they could be fixed or cured. I tells ya, if this turns out to be some sort of re-education experiment where "bad people" with redeeming values are put into some sort of Matrix-like machine to make them better... I am going to be really pissed. I am pretty sure we are going to see both Libby and Analucia back in future episodes, but only in flashbacks. |
>>>if this turns out to be some sort of re-education experiment where "bad people" with redeeming values are put into some sort of Matrix-like machine to make them better... I am going to be really pissed.>>>
Hmmmmm.... I don't think this is some Matrix place, but one theory I have is that on the far side of the island, there is a billionaire and he flooded the plane with hallucination gas and then had "his" pilots land the plane on an air strip on the far side. Then he probably had killed all the passengers that tried to escape and then the billionaire had the pilots crash the plane on purpose, so the alive ones would "remember" the crash. The island might have magnetic healing powers, but it also has mental instability powers as heavy magnets can affect your brain. All islands can be seen from satelites, so all islands with fresh water have been purchased or are part of Oceania countries. So a billionaire owning the island would explain why the survivors were not rescued by conventional means like in normal situations. The pilots were owned by the bored billionaire, who affected by the magnetic healing island is going insane slowly. The foggy monster might be micro tiny black holes created by the powerful magnetic fields causing the noises and destruction. When I saw the movie Donnie Darko, I thought of this possiblity. So anyway, the airline probably called the billionaire and asked, did a plane crash nearby. He says no, and that is the end of the searching as they are searching elsewhere. And the island is not on usual flight routes. But I think the show would be more realistic if they showed satelites moving overhead at night or 30,000 plane water trails during the day. So it is possible that it used to be a government site that was disbanded because of the micro black holes killing people. When they left, they left in a hurry and left one part of the government film and people make up whatever story they like to explain all the weird outdated computer and numbers stuff. I think the billionaire purposefully set up the numbers stuff as a joke on Hurley. The billionaire maybe has a hatred for lottery millionaires ? LOL I sometimes wonder if Locke is the mad billionaire, since he is alluded to have a super rich dad. He kills his dad or makes it look like an accident and gets rich. That would explain why he finds the hatch/bunker on a huge dense jungle island. And he also happens to find "a guitar" as well. With his billions he cures himself and he no longer needs the wheel chair. But for fun he rides in the slow descent crash as he is bored with life and partially insane. The billionaire would also be able to bring polar bears to the island as well. The billionaire could also use mind altering drugs to make people forget the first safe landing if they awoke from the knockout gas in the plane. Or perhaps the ones that dies, did awake and the billionaire thought they would spoil the fun. Perhaps Locke was already going insane before he became super rich ? His talking with people on the phone and playing god with figurine rpgs. And his outbursts of "You can't tell me what I can and can't do !!!!" But this is just my prediction. Ohhhh you know what would really be cool ? If the writers of the show, actually read all these messages on every message board they could find and, on purpose, wrote the show in directions away from what people were guessing ! That would be pretty clever. Ah well, I'm just a fan of the show. *smile* Jonathan |
I still have to find a place to post about six recordings, but I have the password. While it doesn't do much of anything right now, it's still interesting and there seems to be a lot of potential in it. I'll throw it in spoilers in case any of you want to find it out for yourself through the number.
password: Spoiler: breaking strain edit: I take that back. I found more. It's much more interesting now. |
So I wonder if the drunken real-life antics of Annalucia and Libby were a result of them finding out they were going to be killed off, or perhaps the reason they were killed off?
|
Damn, Jack's dad sure got around.
|
Anyone think the actors, Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros, had to be written out of the show because of their criminal charges? I'm not sure about Watros, but Rodriguez was just recently charged again for driving under the influence or something similar. Maybe they had to leave?
Last night's episode surprised me quite a bit. I liked it though. But you're totally right about being pretty much back to where they started. I think the show needs a lot more progress; I don't like that they're dragging everything out. A little bit of that is good, but I think they're going too far. |
Anyone feel that this show is going too far in exploiting its fans? I know this might seem like nothing new since movies do this all the time when selling books and other commercial items. But by playing this game of hiding clues on websites and such, I think they've made some fans feel as though they must buy stuff like this in order to solve the mystery. What do you guys think?

I don't think they are back where they started... cast wise yes, but they (and we) have learned a lot since the end of last season.
|
I don't think they were written out because of the criminal charges. In fact, I'll put money on the opposite: they got wasted and caused trouble because they were written out. Sort of a last hurrah/celebration type deal.
|
Good point Moskie...
|
Eko and Locke found another hatch and we found out pushing the numbers was a big waste of time. I would seriously be upset if I heard it was all one big psychological test. To determine if people would actually press the buttons. And they are being watched from that hatch!
The episodes are getting better each week and maybe next week or the season finale the battle between the others and the survivors should happen. I would start training an army and then create some strategies. |
I missed the first 10 minutes or so of the last episode. Did anyone by chance catch the website address for the hanso foundation in this one?
On a side note, I had no idea that you could watch episodes of Lost from ABC's website. Spectacular idea :D |

It's cool, though I've no idea what it's supposed to mean. Interesting episode tonight. One of my friends discovered something interesting about the book that's been of some controversy. Spoiler: The name of the author, Gary Troup, is an anagram of "purgatory." I have no idea if "Bad Twin" is also an anagram, because I'm absolutely horrible at them. I tried, but no luck. Anyone actually picked it up and seen what it's about? |

After you've read the letters, be sure to leave Joop's Corner open. His image is very slowly being overtaken by some sort of abstract drawing. I'm not sure where this is going (if anywhere) but I'm hoping a subliminal message will appear.
As a note to those unwilling to go through the steps listed above, Spoiler: there is no direct spoiler info regarding the show. At least nothing that immediatly applies. On letter questions a Hanso Executive's academic history and true identity, and another implicates the Hanso org in a deadly virus outbreak near their research station in Africa. Update: In addition to the drawing (scribbly lines) there is a silhouette of what looks like a huge bald man's head now appearing. This may take a couple of hours! |

i just got caught up with all the ep's.
i think the website stuff is largely mis-direction, i doubt you will be getting much useful information off of it. did anyone notice that during the movie John and Echo saw in Pearl, it said that the members in the Swan believed their work was of the utmost importance, and them immeditaly stressed teh importance fo the work being done in the Pearl. There were also cameras inside the Pearl, so who is watching the Pearl folks? what if it all turned out to be a reality show masquerading as a series.... |
I don't think the website is misinformation at all.
I think it is filling in the back story. It is pretty much irrelevant (i.e. you don't need to know about it to enjoy the show), but it is added enjoyment for those who love the convoluted nature of the show. PS: I was watching an older episode of Stargate a couple days ago and the Chinese ambassador was played by the actor the stars in the orientation films. It was kind of weird. |
I thought I posted exactly what Charlatan did post. Finals have really made my brain dribble out of my ear. I can't wait for my first year of law school to be over. It's going to be so great.
Yeah, the website isn't misinformation, it's just extrinsic to the events actually occurring in the show. If you're interested in the mythology of the show, it's fun stuff to delve into. It's not required and it doesn't have a direct impact, but it puts some things in context. |
I am predicting that they eventually kill off all of the characters except Hurley.
The last episode will be him, finally getting skinny, wandering the beaches alone muttering , dude, where's my peanut butter? |
I'm doing a research project about immersive entertainment in television and film, to link up with some of the research I've already done with videogames. I don't know if any of you are familiar with The Beast, developed by Dreamworks and Microsoft, but as I was researching the Cloudmakers I discovered the following with an eerie reference to the recent Lost game's clues...

Afterthought: Do you guys think we should make another thread for the Lost game? It's kind of tangential to the show proper, but it would be fun to play it with other TFPers. There are also plenty of other sites for playing it, but... well, just a thought. |
Update on Joop's Corner: Not much to report...
So I got in this morning and it looked like the picture had reset itself back to normal. However, After a few moments it began shifting again with the same overlayed imagery, just faster now. What I've described in my earlier posts appears to be as far as it goes: Some dense cobweb-like drawn lines, and the silhouette of a big bald man's head. To say that the images are open to speculation is an understatement. I think a separate thread for the website(s) sounds like a good idea. I bet that the producers will keep us well occupied over the off season. In fact I just found out the who the bald man is and I'm going to start the thread with my theory. Seriously! |
i didn't say the non-tv things were mis-information, i said misdirection. what i meant was, much as a magician will use misdirection to point the audience's attention away from vital components, these site are doing the same thing. In this case it is satieting the need of hardcore enthusiasts to feel as if they are learning more about the plot and have a greater chance of unravelling the mystery than those who merely watch the tv show. I would be greatly surprised if this were the case, and truly believe that even if you laid the website bare to the bones, you still wouldn't be able to tell me why ...(fill in any plot question here)....
However, I do agree that the website does flesh out teh information more...lets say its the color to teh black and white painting that is the show. |
Great episode tonight. Whatever the Others are doing, if Ms. Clue is any indication, they're hard core zealots.

We finally discover what happened to Michael when he went off in the jungle. So far, his analysis of the camp is correct, but we still do not know about their camp and reasons for taking walt.
Next week is the 2 hour finale and it should be fantastic with guns a blazin', people dying, fighting and one big intense action orgy. Also, a commerical aired for the hanso foundation again, but this time a new website was displayed. Does anyone have this link because I thought of memorzing it, but it soon faded out of memory. |
well, Michael's analysis of the camp is probably completely incorrect.
With the discovery of the theatrical glue and costumes, along with Walt's hint that they are "pretending," it seems pretty clear there's more than meets the eye. I'm guessing that the whole camp is essentially a mock-up to make it look like they're defenseless, but in actuality they're a fully equipped... something. |

I feel so bad for Michael, but damnit, I want him to get coldcocked by the Jesus stick! |
so i guess the real question is: is that new boat we saw really a decepticon??
