I usually eschew msg boards, but a friend rec'd this one, so i thought id take her for a test drive. So far, nothing special. I remain sceptical, especialy about 'tiered access'. It has been my experience this is often used as a mechanism for entrenching cliquish behavior, and excluding/oppressing the newbs. Hopefully that will not be the case here. (Talk about burning your bridges b-4 u cross them!)
Anyway, we shall see.

We actually try to use the "Tier" to maintain the quality of this community, by halting immaturity from entering the more....sensative areas of TFP. Rookies are treated no differently than anyone else in here as a general rule, simply because we all know they have the likelyhood of helping us all learn and evolve in time. As far as the Clique metality....there are many in our little forum, and its not really a bad thing as they tend to overlap frequently....it is also inevitable in societal interaction, so why fight it.

Just enjoy this place for what it is, show respect for everyone, and they will return the favor. That is all we ask of anyone.

Hi all. I must admit, I didn't read many of the posts on this thread.

Anyway, I'm a young adult female (aged 19 at the time of writing) and I feel very lucky to have gotten Philosopher as my handle/username. I didn't think I stood a chance of it still being available on a site like this, but happily I was wrong.

I live in NSW Australia on the South Coast. It is a great place to be with a temperate climate and very few disasters.

I have a wide variety of interests, but one of my favourites is bioethics.

I could say a lot more about myself, but I'm going to go have dinner now.

Frank is the name, Marine am I. A friend hooked me up to this place a while ago. Used to stay in the shadows, but am coming out a little now. I have plenty of time on my hands now that I'm in Korea, so I'll be here often.

I've been around for a while, posting now and then when something peaks my interest. I truely enjoy some of the great conversations/advise that gets bantered around!

I'm a water/wastewater engineer, have a wife, 2 kids, 2 dogs, and several guinea pigs, and a rat (not that they all receive the same amount of attention or importance!). I consider myself religious with a practical bent. My wife and I have been exploring things sexually (which is how I think I first came upon the site), and I have found some of the discussions interesting, informative, and practical! :=)

Hey, I'm the artist currently known as Ardus, it's 1 am and I have a midterm paper that I haven't started due in 8 hours. If you can't tell, I have a problem with procrastination.
Anyways, I'm a 2nd year student at Arizona State University. And I believe I signed up for this board about a year or so ago for the titty board, but who knows? Whatever happened to the titty board anyways? Well, I've decided this is a worthwhile site, and I'm going to try to be a contributing member of the forums from now on, so watch out.
