Listening to other people have sex...
[EDIT] People should note that the journal entry is NOT representative of my normal state of mind. That is what makes it strange to me. I also don't make as many typing mistakes.[/EDIT]
No this isn't quite as stupid as what your probably expecting. I had an unusual first experience last night. My housemate was having her boyfriend over and they were having sex in her room. It was noisy in a smacky squishy way. That isn't very interesting. What is interesting is my reaction to hearing this. I suddenly felt like I was alone and that no one truly cared about me. I got an adrenaline dump, heart racing, sweating, and nausea. No one was on AIM and there was no one I could call (friday night, home alone working... lame I know)... so I wrote a massive journal entry which explains my state of mind at that moment perfectly. I was so desperate to talk to people that I went to IRC to chat with a videogame clan that I played with years ago. I had to leave and sleep in a friends room on campus because I couldn't stand to be "alone." I only started to feel better after watching "I'm gonna git you sucka" sandwiched in between two girlfriends. Sure I have the same insecurities everyone else has, but I have never had trouble dealing with them before... So I'm throwing this out there? Ever had to listen to other people have sex when you really really didn't want to?

The young hetero couple upstairs have a noisy bed.
Apparently he's one of these boys who fires then falls asleep, regardless of whether she was finished or not. I want to leave a note saying, "When he goes to sleep, come down here for a real orgasm," but I really don't want to be like Marina ("The L-Word").

There's sex, and then there is acting. I hate hearing people have sex when it is unrealistically loud and sounds so fake. It makes me angry because it sounds like they're showing off, if not to everyone else in the apartment, at least to each other. I typically could care less, but there is something that really gets to me when I hear contrived screams and moaning.
I understand you felt when that happened, other things used to make me feel like that when I was single for all of those years. Particularly hand-holding, kissing, and cuddling. I don't think it was so much that I was jealous of them, but that I felt like I wasn't going to find that in a meaningful way. Eventually, I did... it just took some more efforts getting comfortable with myself before it didn't bother me, and getting myself out and taking risks to go after what I wanted.

This a really good topic.
I rather enjoy watching people have sex in person... not on TV or over the net. I need it to be live. But as far as hearing them when I don't want to... yeah... it's gets all creepy and you just want silence. I understand how you feel on this. I would just put my headphones on and crank up the Deftones or something really angry and loud. Or do a few shots of whiskey and pass out.

I've had sex with girls that make absolutaly NO noise, and some that make TONS of noise, and i gotta say, I enjoy it more if they make some sign that they are enjoying themselves, or else its just a kill for the mood for me.

My neighbours in my old apartment fought loudly and fucked loudly.
I still remember nights where I had to turn the TV up in the evening to overpower the shouting match that was going on, only to have to walk over to their door that same night at 3 am to bellow "Would you mind? some of us have to wake up in three fucking hours" Then again, my neighbours also gave me extra incentive to make the girls I had over scream extra loud, cause if I could hear them, then they could hear me, right? |

sometimes my roomie and his lady will be over, and the walls are damn thin.
i never feel so alone, so rejected....and its not their fault, but there's not much i can do...its immediate and in my face that i am alone when others are not. i usually head out and take a run. five miles later, i've forgotten the insipid things they scream when fucking, and i'm in a better place in my life than when i left. |

you seem to have had quite an interesting reaction; sorry that you had to go through that
for me, I imagine that it would be quite arousing. except this one time, when my brother and I were sleeping in the same room at a resort. at the time, he was 12 I think. he didn't believe me when I was saying "it must be some animals fighting, or an owl..." but once I knew he knew, we were laughing about it the rest of the night |

I know that feeling very very well. I've been alone for most of my life but now finally have had a really great girlfrriend for the past 3 months. For the past 2 weeks shes been on a business trip to D.C. and I haven't gotten to see her. When I'm watching TV and watch other couples cuddle and be together I feel completely alone. I can't wait till she comes back :-(

When my wife and I lived in this one apartment, the bitch upstairs liked to get gang banged, and made as much noise as she could. I think so of it was acting, but she was super loud and obnoxious. She was a skank, period. She played loud music at all hours and we had the police out many times untill she was evicted. Other than that, only once in HS, my friend and I were in at a party and stayed the night, he screwed his girl friend like 8 times in about 5 hours, and I was in the room, on the bottom bunk. That sucked.

peel yourself away from the wall.
: ) I used to live in a place with floorboards the thickness of ricepaper. I didn't know my neighbor and it enraged me when the amorous sounds of "the rut" wafted up into my own private space... only because i hadn't any of the sweet stuff myself and my jealousy blinded my facullties. Nowadays- if I were to hear love-lorn partners making the sounds of the "beast with two backs"....I would likely smile... and silently issue encouragement...

Been there a couple of times.
Brother and I had separate ajoining bedrooms, one evening he had his then-girlfriend over for a few hours. I admit that i was listening, (i'm guessing they were kissing/petting)feeling at once jealous and turned on. the other time, was in college, sharing a dorm with a guy. I had the top bunk, he had the lower. one night he had his girl over, i was trying to sleep while they were moving towards getting it on, the jealosy and frustration on my part drove me out of the room, down the hall to a friend's room to crash for the night. If that situation occured today, but i was the lucky one (along with the SO) i'm conflicted on how i would i would treat any '3rd wheel" ( of course being dual natured

This explained why I was able to constantly hear them taking the old skin boat to tuna town. She was a bit of a howler too so it was always obvious when they were getting it on. At first I'd listen because of the voyueristic side that I think we all have but some don't want to admit. I eventually started to get annoyed with it waking me up and being just a loud neighbor similar to having someone play a loud stereo or television. I'm happy to be out of that apartment and finally back into a house.

I was 20 at the time and i had moved in with my friend at the time and his wife. We retired to our respective rooms after a night out of bowling and drinking, right when i was about to drift off into my drunken slumber, i hear the both of them moaning.
With what my experience now tells me is that, knowing what these folks cheated on each other and were freaks (they split after a year of marriage), i should have knocked on the door and helped myself to some ass (hers). But at the time, i was too shy and quiet and insecure about myself. Was probably for the best anyways. |

We've had friends stay over at our places before and stayed in the lounge room with just a door between us. After about 10 mins of getting into bed we could clearly hear them "gettin it awn".
For me the whole thing was a bit of a turn on, but the wife has something against people fucking on our furniture. |

After a party, a bunch of us had gone back to a friend's house. Two of my friends who were going out at the time went into the other guest room, leaving myself, my friend, and another guy in the second guest room. The other two had been drinking, and had hit it off pretty quickly at the party.
So I was sleeping on the bed over to the side, and they were 'sleeping' on the floor. I don't know exactly how far the went (I wasn't about to sit up and check) but I definitely heard more than I wanted to. Two factors contributed to the unpleasantness of this situation (aside from the obvious awkwardness of being in the same room). The first was that I had a bit of a history with the girl, myself. Also, I really had to pee. REALLY REALLY had to pee. I mean eyeballs-were-floating had to pee. And they were on the floor between myself and the door out to the bathroom. So I had to stay put, waiting for them to finish whatever they were doing, then wait till they sounded asleep, then attempt to step over them, so I could go to the bathroom. Next time I'll just tell em to hurry up a bit.

One time I got headfucked by my roommate having sex with his girl. They weren't loud, but I was there alone aside from them. We had just moved in to the apartment, the third guy wasn't there and there was no TV and nothing to do. So here I am stuck in this bare, echo-y apartment listening to them have at it. At the time I was split from my one and only and them being happy made me sad.
The other funny thing was when my best friend was sleeping on the floor in the same room as me with this girl. I was in the bed with my lady and we could hear the girl unbuckle his belt and them some...noises. We laughed silently about it and chastised them in the morning, for smiles all around.

Yup My parents. They never seemed to realize that they gave us way to many clues when they got jiggy. Like my moms teddy in the bathroom on the floor in the morning. My brother always used his headphones. Mine were just the nubs and didn't block out enough noise.

First college roommate, I was on the top bunk, him on the bottom, I woke up feeling motion sick (which never happens, I can read in cars, open sea, etc etc) only to discover he was humping his girl... for hours... had an 8am class too.
Second roommate in college, brought his girl home one night and proceeded to screw her not 4 feet away from me. Both our beds were lofted since the room was so damn small... it was awful, I think it was her first time cuz she was wimpering and telling him to go slow... And lastly, in my previous apartment, the couple upstairs would get thier funk on and I'd get to listen. First she'd wail and scream and get off... then after a few minutes of silence the guy would start up, yelling and grunting and whatnot. Then I'd hear someone walking across the room, into the bathroom, water running, toilet flushes, silence the rest of the night. This ritual never changed, I found it pretty hilarious. |

my girlfriend in college shared a suite in the dorm with another girl, and one night while i was over she (the suite mate) brought home another girl- the two of them thought that i and my girl were asleep, and started going at it- neither of them had been with a girl before, and much loud and funny noise ensued- it was all i could do not to offer suggestions to them. kind of funny, yet embaressing at the same time

My fiance told me a story about another friend who told her that her roommate would stick her phone and masterbate with it everynight. They pointed her out one day and she was hot, man I had a hard-on, of course my fiance would have given me a look if I would have said that but oh well. FUNNY

I have had many, many neighbors over the many years who have been quite vocal when having their little bedroom romps. Some knew that other people were listening to them and really turned it on, some didn't. It kind of got on my nerves when it's 2-3 in the morning, but on the other hand, I've certainly made enough noise in my time that now my wife and I feel that we can enjoy ourselves vicariously by listening to them.

I never heard my roommates getting it on, but I have walked in on it. I had a roommate in the dorms that would kick me and the other one out of the room whenever he wanted so that he could get some with his girlfriend. What sucked worse than leaving at his demand to prevent a fight was waiting for them to get dressed or something so that I could come in and grab something while running late between classes.

I think its a combo of them having sex, and you knowing that they dont know you are listening...it's the taboo thing...same thing happens to me. your so excited by it but at the same time your thinking "should i be doing this" so the adrenalin starts flowing....the orgasm you could have from thi s could be pretty intense also.
