I recently moved out of a second floor apartment. The third floor apartment above me was home to two couples. I had the occasion to be in their apartment due to a water line break that caused a leak from above. I observed that the couple directly above me (bedroom wise) had their box spring and mattress directly on the floor. There was no bed frame
This explained why I was able to constantly hear them taking the old skin boat to tuna town. She was a bit of a howler too so it was always obvious when they were getting it on. At first I'd listen because of the voyueristic side that I think we all have but some don't want to admit. I eventually started to get annoyed with it waking me
up and being just a loud neighbor similar to having someone play a loud stereo or television.
I'm happy to be out of that apartment and finally back into a house.
