Taken when I was in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic last week. Around 6:10am.

Well i could do sunset photos pretty easy i says to myself. I am normally awake when the sun goes down... normally. But then i rememberd about these photos

Winter in scotland you get some really really amazing sunrises, and fortunately i had my camera all the times i was up.

And omg Tropic, its like a whole thread "day in in the life of TD", but they are really really purty

LOL, no, it's not about me, but I do take lots of sunrise and sunset photos and figure there is no sense in starting another thread each time. :cool:

And speaking of sunrises, I was on Fort Lauderdale Beach for Saturday's sunrise, so.....

It was a so so sunrise, but there were some pretty darn good colors..

I liked the look of this coconut palm.

If you're ever up for a sunrise on Fort Lauderdale Beach, go to the HoJo and to the third floor and to the far east window at the end of the corridor (freebie tip). :cool:

I really enjoy including their weather vane in my sunrise photos, but it means a lot of running back and forth from the beach to the hotel and to the beach, again, without missing too much of the sunrise.

Did I mention the colors, yet? :cool:

Sunrise over Mesa, Arizona 2nd week in September. Of all the pictures I took with my digital camera on the trip out to AZ, this is the only keeper. Still have a roll of film to get developed, though.

Tropicdiver most of your shots are downright excellent. Some of them are absolutely friggin brilliant.

There are 2 or 3 that I'd seriously consider buying high quality large prints of. I have a thing for weather events mostly, thunderstorm clouds, lightning ect. My walls are full of those pictures. Sunsets/sunrise would make an excellent mix to my wall prints.

Keep it up bro.

Tonite wasn't much of a sunset, but I was there hoping for better.

Some on the beach were oblivious to the sunset.

Sometimes if you wait just long enough....

We had a cold front come thru, yesterday evening. Stirred up the skies a little.

I wish some of the sunset pictures we have from our camp (roughly 25,000 pictures)
were digital, they are amazing, and always seem to be different - even though most are
shot from the exactly same location.

The "camera" didn't cooperate with the sun on this photo. ;-)

Give me a palm tree and a sunset and I'm there... :cool:

I do wish the cruiser would have sailed a bit closer to land.
